Do not hire this contractor! They communicate very poorly, order the wrong material or incorrect amount, refuse to correct mistakes they have made, and will terminate a contract early if in their best interest. The contractor terminated the contract half way through the effort. Throughout the contract, the contractor would show up at random times or not at all. I would not be informed of the contractor was arriving on a particular day/time frame until the night before or morning of. I had requested a schedule 3x but was told it would be difficult. After the second time of no one showing up and being told only after I inquired that they would not be arriving that day, I demanded a schedule in order to allow me to know when they would be at my house so I could manage my own personal schedule better. However, two days after demanding a schedule, the contractor sent an email (conveniently on Friday at close of business) stating they were terminating the contract due to their concerns that I MIGHT complain about their quality of work. At no time up to this point had I complained about their quality of work, only that the communication on when to expect workers at my house was very poor. It should be noted that on three occasions the company owner complained about how inconvenient it was getting to my house (a 40 minute drive) and his entire crew also complained about how inconvenient it was to get to my house. When I hired a new contractor, I was informed of several things (the following are a selection and not a complete list): 1) there was not enough tile for the square footage on my bathroom. Each type of tile was short by numerous square footage. The product is now discontinued so I am unable to obtain additional tiles. 2) I had ordered a 4" faucet but the contractor purchased a vanity top that was cut for an 8" faucet, requiring me to purchase a new faucet. 3) The vanity mirror that I requested was too tall and as such would not fit when taking into account clearance for the light fixture. At no time did the contractor inform me that it would not fit. 4) the plumbing for the shower head was 2" to high, requiring the new contractor to lower it so the shower head would not hit the ceiling. As the tile was discontinued and I was not able to use the tile since there was not enough to do the job, I tried to return the tile and associated materials to the third party supplier that the contractor has purchased the tile from. The supplier said they could accept a return but could only reimburse the credit card that was used to purchase the tile, for obvious anti-fraud purposes. I was fine with that and requested that Elements refund me whatever the supplier reimbursed. However, Elements refused to accept the refund and as such I'm an unable to return the tile, causing me to lose hundreds of dollars on tile that I cannot use and requiring me to purchase new tile. Throughout this whole ordeal, I tried compromising with Elements but only received arguments in return. They're refusal to provide a schedule and then their termination of the contract when I demanded a schedule made it clear that they were using my contract to fill empty time between others contracts they had so as to avoid paying their employees out of their overhead. When I brought to their attention that they had under ordered key materials, they claimed I had an "agenda" and that I simply didn't like the tile. As Elements stated, and I understood, that the likelihood of the tile supplier only providing a partial refund was high, I don't understand how a conclusion of the customer having an "agenda" could be reached. As a result, I have lost over $1,000.00 due to materials that were incorrectly ordered. Do not hire this contractor as they push all the risk on the customer, behave as if the customer works for them, and refuses to correct mistakes that they have made.

Elements Remodeling is a reliable company that does high quality work. Michael makes a personal visit every time I have work to be done on my house. His honesty and commitment to me as a client sets him and his company apart from all others. Sometimes house projects are proactive and sometimes reactive, Michael demonstrates consistent reliability no matter what the job is. Elements will be back this year to help me decide the best path forward for my front door replacement and Installation. I recommend Elements Remodeling to everybody I know who has a hole project coming up and will continue to do my annual upgrades and emergency fixes with Michael and Elements Remodeling. 10 out of 10.

Elements approached us for an inspection for possible hail damage due to regional hail damage.  After identifying probable sufficient damage for insurance coverage, they coordinated with our insurance company, State Farm, whose adjuster confirmed sufficient damage.  Because a number of homes in the area were being reroofed by them, we had a couple of months wait; however, there were no immediate leaks or reason for rush, so this was no problem.  The work was done in the course of about 3 days, tho most of the work was done in one day, with the second and third days having to do with finishing up and details, such as the gutters and downspouts.
The only suggestion I would have regarding them and probably other roofers is for better cleanup  and for greater care in the removal of the old shingles and roofing materials:  these materials are generally shoveled and cast off the roof to land on the yard and driveway below (having worked as a roofer at one point, this is really the only way to handle such material).  However, two things can happen.  One is that shrubbery can be damaged, which did occur with one small bush, and the other is that one will keep finding bits and pieces of material for a long time.  I didn't notice the bush damage for some time.  I am sure that Elements would have replaced it had I alerted them, though.

It went very well and they did an excellent job. They are professional, on time, and good craftsmanship. We have used them before so we didn't shop around. They are the only ones that we went too.

Things went well with them and they did a good job. They did a lot of work and they were done in three days. The service was fantastic. They were very fast and very clean. The estimate was to the penny and they kept me informed. With the timing, they were there when they said that they were going to be there and they left everything very clean. They will be coming back to do my deck in six months. Their price was good. They probably had the least expensive estimate. The quality of their work was also very good.

We previously hired Elements Home Remodeling to replace our windows and paint our town house.  They did such a good job we called them again to install our hardwood floors in our kitchen and foyer. We had Bruce Oak hardwood installed.  The workmen were very professional and did an excellent job.  They moved all appliances  to install the hardwood under them.  They did an excellent job replacing all of the molding and transition strips.  Three workers completed the entire job in 6 hours, including removing the old floor and cleaning up after themselves. Mike came by to make sure everything was going well and to ensure we were pleased with the work. We would definitely hire Elements Home Remodeling again.  As a matter of fact, we have hired them to replace our gutters, garage door and replace/repair exterior wood trim on our town house.

We hired Elements Home Remodeling to replace the windows in our town house.  They did such a good job, we hired them to do a whole house repainting. We are very glad we did.  The workmen moved all of the furniture.  Everything was covered to protect my items.  They removed the pictures off the wall and filled all of the nail holes before painting. They did an excellent job cutting in the different colors we chose.  They cleaned up after themselves each day they were here.  We were extremely pleased with the work they did.  The workmen even tolerated our nosy German Shepherd who wanted to inspect everything they did. Mike checked on the job every day to ensure that we were pleased with the work.  We would definitely hire Elements Home Remodeling again.  As a matter of fact we have hired them to install hardwood floors in our kitchen and foyer.

Workmen did an excellent job.  Windows are draft free.  The workmen cleaned up after themselves and removed all trash including my old window.
Mike followed up during and after the install to ensure that we were pleased with the work.

We are very happy with the work, Mike was great to work with. He gave us realistic expectations, oversaw the repair work personally and communicated through out the day as progress was made.  The walls look great, the laundry room is awesome.  Elements showed up on time and the quality of the work was excellent.  They even noticed my attic access had loose trim all around it,  in one of the closets and fixed it for me on their own and didn't charge.  It was a simple quick repair, however the consideration and service we received certainly ensured we will be repeat customers again!

The first project was repairing our 450 square-foot deck. Mike del Sontro workede with us for selection of the flooring and color.  The work crew replaced the existing flooring and handrails with wonderful composite boards that are reversible. They were very courteous and disciplined - the project was done quickly and everything was completely cleaned up beautifully. The weather was not cooperative for a day or so but they worked between rain showers.  The approximate cost was $9500.

Our second project involved removing the brick and railroad-tie walkway from our driveway up to our front stoop -- seven steps and the landing below the stoop - and creating a beautiful cut stone walkway in its place. Mike del Sontro spent a lot of time with us discussing the best options for our colonial style house and helped us decide on colors of the stone work that was done. Elements also powerwashed the stoop with its 6 steps, installed beautilful quality railings and vinyl wrapped our columns, pediment and ceiling of our entranceway as well as part of the garage facade..  There were 3 different work crews on the project and each one was excellent in his craft and courteous.  The approximate cost was $10,500 (railings were the most expensive part).

We have received many compliments from friends, family and neighbors about the quality and beauty of the finished products. We intend to use Elements Home Remodeling for future projects next year. This outstanding company is the epitome of professionalism and we are delighted by the diversity of services that they offer. We highly recommend them!
