Shane was polite, respectful and professional. He explained everything and completed the job in a timely fashion. He was very friendly and would request him the next time. So happy to have the work done by a professional, looks beautiful.

Unlike other companies, Michael and Sons will not give you an estimate. You have to pay for them to come out and if you don't use them, they keep the dispatch fee of 69.00. All we needed was a sink hook-up (pipe underneath. They told us they had NO estimate available. That's actually impossible since they do this daily. Now this company has done a lot of work for us over the past few years- thousands of $$ worth of work. i thought they would have valued that - and what's more - treated us like informed consumers. I'll hire a company who is transparent. I won't be using them again because of the interaction I had today.

I didn't expect the cost to be as high as it was but if the new installation continues working without cracking and leaking than I will be satisfied.

They were prompt in scheduling our repair. The service plumber was very polite and skilled for the job. I was very happy with the job.

I was surprised this was the only electrical company Home Advisor came up with for my neighborhood. I had used another vendor through Home Advisor for electrical work in the past who was very good, timely, and reasonably priced. Apparently he is out of business. So this much larger regional electrician is my only choice on Home Advisor. Terrible experience. Could not arrive in 8 a.m. to noon window on a Saturday. When the company opted for another driver, he complained to me on phone the he had a big truck and could find no street parking. It was already about 2 p.m. He rejected a couple of suggestions I had. Then a third driver called driving a smaller truck. He finally found some street parking. (Calls from Michael and Son dispatchers seemed to want to blame me for the parking problem in D.C., though living here for 13 years I never had another vendor make such a complaint or blame parking for being more than a few minutes late.) When the electrician finally arrived, around 3 p.m., he said he could not do one of the two jobs (replace a part in a ceiling light) and that the other main job, a new install of a ceiling fan, would take at least three hours and cost nearly $700. The electrician no longer in business had installed a fan in a different room a few months earlier for about $350. We sent the electrician away, telling him it was not his fault, but that we were not going to pay for a total seven hours waiting around for his arrival, twice the amount for the job he could do, and only have one of two projects completed. Have not had many service experiences worse than dealing with Michael and Son. Home Advisor is pretty useless, too, if this is the best that it can recommend for a major neighborhood in D.C.

Came to finish the job even though his day was long--arrived at 7:00pm.

Daniel did very good work and they gave me estimates on future work.

Very pleasant professional service man. I will definitely use them again.
