He did a very quality job. I would highly recommend him to others.
Description of Work: He laid big tiles and leveled the floor properly. He gave the lowest estimate of those that we asked.

I called Scott because his company was highly recommended to me via a neighborhood listserv for providing excellent services in the neighborhood. Scott agreed to come to my home and provide me an estimate. After meeting with Scott he recommended that we first have architectural drawings done so we could get a better idea of what we were working with. He recommended an architect who came over and we all sat down together and discussed what I wanted and what the house needed. After meeting a few times, Scott brought in his lead employee, Lou, to talk about the work and the way ahead. A few months went by with all of us meeting. Once the drawings were nearing completion, Scott had called and informed me that he had to fire Lou for conducting bad business. Apparently Lou did some patch work in another customer's house and covered it up which was brought to light. Since Scott was forthright in telling us we felt very comfortable with him and so we continued on with the meetings. Six months from meeting Scott we were finally at the point where we understood what was going on with the house structurally and we could get to some concrete estimates. Scott provided estimates to us which we thought were fairly reasonable, but we had a few questions. Once we started asking questions, Scott began to get less and less responsive until he finally told us that he didn't feel comfortable in doing the work for the estimate that he gave us and that he was recommending us to a friend (whose estimate turned out to be 2 1/2 times Scott's estimate). In any case we decided not to work with either Scott or his friend. Funny thing about all of this is that Scott called about a month afterwards and said that he had spoken with Lou and that Lou was interested in doing the job for us. I guess he had forgotten that he told us why he fired Lou in the first place!

I never even had the chance to meet with Mr. Peterson. We scheduled an appointment for "midday" Saturday. After waiting around all day, I finally called at 3:45. He promptly called back and suggested we get in touch tomorrow. Well, he never called. I'm not interested in working with Mr. Peterson if he can't follow through on a simple estimate.
Description of Work: I wanted him to remodel our basement and fix up some of the bricks on the outside of our house.

Mr. Peterson is the consummate professional. He is efficient, with great customer service, and ensures throughout the project that you are informed of the progress of everything. He always provides timely updates and stays right on top of your project. Also, he understands that working professionals can't take time off work to wait for a contractor. He has always scheduled jobs around our available time, and often done work on weekends. The quality of the bathroom tile work is fantastic, it's really beautifully finished. The deck repairs were also very nicely done. When our heating broke he came over personally within 48 hours, and he and his plumber repaired the problem and billed us afterwards. Mr. Peterson has always recommended great people to us and has become our "go-to guy" for all home repair projects. We also plan to have his company remove the old aluminum siding on the front of our house and repoint and weatherproof all the brick.
Description of Work: Mr. Peterson's company completed three small projects for us: Demolition and replacement of tile on bathroom and shower floor. Repair of warped deck railings: removing entire railing and replacing main beams with pressure treated wood and finials. We had a problem in our hot water radiator system, and Mr. Peterson and his plumber found the problem, repaired the switch and let all the air out of our radiators so they would work. He also recommended a roofing guy who was great.
