My computer had very little memory, causing the predictable problems. Ryan was excellent. He added as much additional memory as the computer (HP) would allow and I'm a very happy camper. He was on time, courteous and knew his stuff. The cost was considerably cheaper than buying a new computer and going through all the work of backing up my old hard drive, repurchasing software, etc. I would recommend Ryan to anyone, and would call him for any future repairs.

They were good, no real drawbacks. They came to the house and did a job. They quote was consistent with what they thought it would be.

Ryan scheduled a repair call for my home desk top computer. He was twice delayed but call and asked if I would mind a delay. He was courteous and arrived exactly at the time he said he would due the previous job taking longer than he had anticipated. When Ryan arrived he was courteous and appropriately friendly even to the point that he had a treat for my dog. His diagnostic tests of my computer were thorough and timely. Within 30 minutes he had found the problem and corrected it. Ryan is professional, polite, and easy to talk to. When he finished the job he invoiced me for the call and to my complete surprise charged me only $25.00. I would highly recommend Ryan and will definitely use him for all of my computer repairs in the future. You just don't find this type of quality very often. This was my second call to Ryan and both were entirely satisfactory. He sets up appointments quickly, accommodates evening and weekend -- and in this case holiday -- hours, is versatile and flexible and readily moves from one task to another in dealing with multiple computers. He also nicely tolerated dogs trying to help by nosing into the equipment he was working on, and when a "problem" with a computer turned out to be nothing more than this owner's lack of technical expertise he took the time to explain the issue so the inept owner wouldn't make the same mistake again. Definitely a "keeper.'

ryan came out 2 days after i called him because i couldnt get my computer to boot, shut down or get on the internet. he arrived with dog biscuits in hand (we have 2 dogs) -- great idea he fixed the problem and then also recommended a live scan software that was very inexpensive but would supplement our other protection computer is working fine now thanks Ryan

My daughters computer was acting up and she brought it home for the thanksgiving break. I contacted computer geeks by email on thanksgiving day. They responded the same day and we set up an appointment for Saturday 24th since my daughter was leaving to go back to school that weekend. They were punctual and very professional. He spent about 15/20 minutes and her computer was running great. The charge was only $25. We were extremely impressed and pleased with the service and the expertise. I would reccomend this company and will definatly use them again.

This is the second time I have used Computer Geeks-VA, and technician Ryan had everything up and running in less than an hour. I don't see how anyone could go wrong using this firm in terms of service, price, prompt response and reliability. I once had an auto mechanic I felt the same way about, but he died. Ryan came out to our house at 8 p.m. the evening before Thanksgiving, Nov. 21, to diagnose my wife's laptop problems. He was on time and very courteous. He recommended her Toshiba laptop needed a new keyboard and it could also perform faster with additional memory. He quickly found some available Toshiba keyboards online and gave us an estimate of $15-$20 for a new keyboard. He said we could purchase the additional memory from MicroCenter or Best Buy and showed us how to install the additional memory to save some money. We asked him to order a new keyboard and the additional memory, as I felt uncomfortable installing the memory myself based on past bad personal experiences installing additional memory chips years ago. He ordered the keyboard after he left our home and informed us that it would be coming from China so it might be 10-14 days, but that he would keep us informed. On Dec. 9 he called at 11 a.m. to say the keyboard had arrived and asked if he could install it that afternoon before 5 p.m. We made arrangements for him to install it at 4 p.m. He was on time. He replaced my wife's keyboard and installed the new memory chip in less than one hour. The keyboard now works great. My wife was thrilled that he works evenings and weekends, was in our home for a total of one hour for both visits, his charges of $95 were very reasonable for on-site computer repair in the customer's home. We will definitely be using Computer Geeks VA for future laptop and tablet repairs.

in most cases if a laptop is dead you buy a new one, however in this case i needed this particular system because it is part of my video editing fly package and I did not want to replace 6,000 dollars worth of software. Ryan systematicallyreplace the least expensive parts until we could determine the cause of the system failure. Although it took a little extra time he saved me a lot of money and everyting is back, good as new.

Ryan was able to come within 24 hours of being contacted. He appeared on time and was able to restore the computer's operating system. Additionally, he downloaded or added other programs that had been installed since the computer's purchase. He left clear instructions for "homework" that can be done for further updates. My mother found the price to be much lower than she expected to pay. And he didn't mind the cats climbing all over him!

I had alot of problems with my printer. Found Computer Geeks-VA on Angie's List. Called and explain the problem to Ryan Hitzeroth. He was able to come to the house the next evening. He found and fixed the problems within an hour. I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Overall, I had a great experience with Computer Geeks - VA. The owner, Ryan, was professional, courteous, and responsive. The repair price was competitive with other price quotes. It was also helpful that Ryan allowed me to buy the screen beforehand, so there was no price mark-up on the screen. The repair took about four days and everything seems to be working great. I wouldn't hesitate to use Ryan for any other computer issues.

I had a gaming PC that fried during an electrical storm last year. With some testing and internet help, I was able to determine that the motherboard no longer worked. I called Ryan and he showed up at the agreed time. He quickly assessed my computer and offered some (free) advice on my newer PC as well. Knowing that I had Ryan ready to go to work, I ordered a used motherboard on Ebay. When it arrived, I called Ryan who promptly picked up the hardware. While it took him a few days to nail down the problem and get the computer running, he kept me up to date with emails. After dropping off the hardware, he charged me a jaw-dropping low price of $75 for his time and effort (which includes picking up and dropping off AS WELL AS a new power supply he threw in for free while he was diagnosing the problem)! What more could I ask for? Nothing. Ryan is a consummate professional.
