We have owned this duplex for 15 years and never had a mice problem. We had never used a professional extermination service either. But, recognizing that this problem was growing and being out of town, we looked up using Angies List an exterminating service and selected Awesome based on what we had read. We called Awesome and talked with Steve, the owner, and he immediatly coordinated with the tenants and scheduled the visit. Both tenants we very pleased with the professional manner Awesome used and the results seemed to have taken care of the problem. Once the service was completed Steve called us, even though we were out of town, and outlined all that they had done and outlined what to expect. This was an excellent and professional experience and we would highly recommend Awesome.

We got Awesome's name from Angie's List. Called them and they came out the next day. They spent more than two hours inspecting the home for mice-holes and plugging them up. They also set some 33 traps and glueboards in the home and garage. They also drilled two small holes in a basement wall where we had heard mice chewing on something and injected poison powder behind the wall. I was especially concerned about the safety of our pet dog and cat; they assured me that the powder behind the wall would not be accessible to them. Steve and his son were highly professional and conscientious. They worked hard and efficiently, covering all bases. And their fee was more than reasonable. We would hire them again without hesitation.

I own a duplex with two units that were in need of mice control. The service was excellent. I received phone calls as requested after communication with my tenant. I was given a lot of information and attention to my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this company.

I just moved into my house and there were spiders everywhere! One dropped on my son while he was watching TV! Called the guys at Awesome, and they were here less than 2 days later. Brought 3 guys, listened patiently to my problem, then got to work. They were finished within an hour, and made a point of using pet-friendly sprays after playing with my dog. They did an amazing job - sprayed all around the perimeter of the house the porch and back deck, around every wall, and found some areas that weren't sealed tight and sprayed the heck out of those. We haven't seen a spider since, and my son is so happy. I will have the wonderful guys from Awesome come out every year to keep the nasty spiders away. HIGHLY recommend! Oh, they also accepted the Angie's List coupon I had printed out, so this was a super good deal!

They were extremely thorough. They are worth the money. However, they left the windows really dirty. I would probably use their services again.

I had noticed some small bugs in my house, mostly in one room, but then found one in another location. I immediately assumed the worst and called. Awesome Pest was available right when I called, and asked what the problems were. They seemed to know right over the phone what type of bug I was needing exterminated. They scheduled a time convenient for me. They called about 20 minutes before they came, they were right on time. They were great with my dogs (I have three large dogs), they were great with me, friendly and very effective. They were also EXTREMELY thorough. The whole thing took about an hour. They sprayed the inside of my garage, the outside of my house, and of course all throughout my house too. I have noticed dead bugs now, and have vacuumed them up. I have not seen any of the bugs from before. The spray didn't smell, wasn't sticky, had no effect on my dogs, my garden, or any other plants. I'm thrilled with their service.

The work they performed was beyond thorough and I was very impressed. They moved just about everything they could away from the wall and sprayed around the perimeter of each room and got into just about every nook and cranny I could thing of included a pesticide coated duster to hit areas of our vaulted ceiling. The work they did on the outside of the house and garage was equally impressive and we have seen plenty of dead bugs the last few days assuring us of their quality of work. Would certainly use them again and highly recommend them to anyone else.

This was an excellent experience. Steve and Brad sprayed my home for spiders and insect pests. There was no smell and the spray was non toxic to my pets. They took a good hour covering all facets of my home and also brushed the cobwebs away. The company I've used in the past took only 5 minutes to spray and charged basically the same rate.

I called based on their rating on Angie's List. We agreed on a price which is probably a fair price considering their drive time and need to use equipment and chemicals. I doubt that it took more than a few minutes, however, so it seems as if they made some fairly good profit (which is why I gave them a B on price). They said they would be in the area in just an hour. I told them to go ahead and get the work done, put the bill in my mailbox. They called me back to say they were done. When I got home I saw no evidence that they were there and no nest. Also didn't smell any chemicals or see any residue. Overall very quick and got the job done for me. I would recommend them.

A colony of rats had moved in under my deck (apparently they like my grape arbor). Awesome Pest Control was able to quickly schedule an early appointment for me. We discussed my options over the phone, and controls to make sure my child and dog were kept safe. Two reps arrived on time. They found all of the rat holes, put trail poison under the deck and provided bait stations. They demonstrated how the stations work and where to buy the right type of poison refills if I want to refill them myself. They also inspected my foundation to see if there were any places rats could get into the house, filled the space around the pipe that runs from my air conditioner into the house with steel wool and gave me suggestions for a more permanent fix.

We just moved in and found that there were a lot of spiders. The call was answered immediately and the work was scheduled for the next morning. They were out early and called before arriving, as promised. There were three technicians in the crew. They seemed to do a very thorough job inside and out. They sprayed the eaves and exterior walls as well as the foundation. I have not had that done before. The spray has no odor! It is possible to live in the house during and immediately after treatment. Steve remembered to give us the Angie's List discount. I have no idea yet, if the spiders will die. From the other reviews, I am optimistic.

I just purchased a home (built in 1976) and when I pulled up the carpet I found a big nasty spider. I figured now (prior to moving in and with flooring up) was the best time to get some good pest control spraying. Awesome Pest Control was available the next business day but I had to schedule later in the week. They showed up a little late, but called to make sure that would be okay. When they arrived, they introduced themselves and asked to enter my home (which I thought was very polite). During the service, they told me what they were doing and how it worked. Overall they were efficient, polite, and friendly. I mentioned Angie's List had a coupon though I had forgotten to print it out and they gave me the discount anyway. They don't take credit cards folks. I didn't have my checkbook on me but they said I could just mail a check when I got a moment. Best of all, the price was cheaper than Orkin (~$160 for a single service!), all the products are pet-safe, and they guarantee their service for three times as long.

Fantastic. They were fast and very polite. Additionally, they were very understanding as I had to re-schedule THREE times due to closing issues with my lender.

I was very impressed. Our discussion began with an in-depth phone call. I never felt rushed and he answered all my questions. One thing I liked (and this was true of the whole process) was that he was very cool with the idea of me being a do-it-yourselfer, and really tailored our discussions to that end. (With all sorts of contractors, I've felt that they hold DIY'ers - or anyone that would deign to believe they could do their job - in contempt.) In fact, he was willing to integrate a live-catch trap I had purchased some time before into our rodent control plan. The visit never felt rushed. He was able to come within a few hours of the initial call. He asked many questions, and answered any I could come up with. He was ~very~ concerned about tailoring his methods to avoid harming pets and children - in fact, toward the end, we had an in-depth discussion of the recent incident in Layton where the use of aluminum phosphide had led to the death of two young girls. He also didn't promise me the moon - patiently explaining that rats are extremely novelty averse and I should not expect any activity on the traps for 2-3 weeks. Good to know. When all was said and done, I had spent $195, which is probably too spendy for many but worth it to me. Services and equipment I ended up purchasing: T-rex snap traps, 6, baited with Bell labs Professional Rat Attractant (internet best price $40, without bait); 2 heavy duty bait feeding stations with heavy stone bases, baited for $4 per (internet comparison price $25, with bait being somewhat cheaper, but it worth it to see exactly how to load them) $20 to belly-crawl under my house and retrieve a rat (that I had glibly poisoned, not really thinking through the consequences). Five-star value on that one, and endless admiration to the young man that did it. So that leaves about $75 for the visual inspection/walk-around, trap placement (the "where" being rather important), time spent in discussion, and overall expertise. I thought it was money well spent. Bargain shop all you want for ant eradication, but dude, rats?

The ants invaded our ground-floor rooms in early summer, as usual. I bought Raid baits to kill them, as this has worked in the past, but this time we got a full-on infestation that spread to upper floors. We called Awesome Pest Control because they advertised a product that was safe for children and pets. They came promptly the very next day. They were quick and courteous, and they explained to me what chemicals they used (Bifenthrin, derived from Chrysanthemum seeds, and Fipronil, the same drug used in topspot flea killers for pets). On my request they did not spray in my baby's room, since he was asleep in there (the ants hadn't gotten in there yet anyway). They worked quickly and quietly, and were gone before baby awoke from his nap. Neither my baby (who crawls all over the floor and puts everything in his mouth) nor my dog got sick from the spray. I have not seen any ants since they came. If I do see another ant within the next year, they will re-spray for free.
