Worst company ever! Never hire this company. Very unethical and unprofessional. Anyone can just hire out pricey vendors and never follow up. If you care about your tenants or property never let keyrenter come close to it. They will fail you

Signed a 15 month lease with Keyrenter. I just ended this 15 month lease. I feel like I was in prison. They are THE WORST property management company I have dealt with. As soon as I moved in the house had issues. The basement flooded multiple times. With sewage aka human poop. They asked me to clean it up. I was so upset I called my attorney who advised this wasn't my problem as I pay them rent. I called back very upset and they finally sent out a carpet cleaner. That's right not a Plummer a carpet cleaner. The basement continued to flood after multiple service requests and months of the Plummer coming and the carpets being cleaned. They finally approved the 30k job to dig up the pipe that was the issue. They did this repair mid winter. So the yard was destroyed due to weather conditions during the repair. I was without water for days. They offered no accommodations or help with the continued issues. In fact I had so many issues with the house they stopped responded to service requests. They are the WORST. Also they will charge you a fee any chance they get. No joke their fees have fees. Being charged a $500 fee for not turning the keys in at 9am the day after my lease ended. They come almost monthly and take photos of the home. They call it an inspection. I've NEVER had a landlord take photos of my personal belongings. A walk through is one thing. But that is not what they do. They tell you it's your responsibility to change the filter. DUH! All rentals require the filter be changed once a month. Which I do. Towards the end of my lease they started sending someone to also check that I am changing the filter..... I believe it was an attempt to check conditions of the home in an attempt to evict me over simple things like smoke detector batteries. Etc... The house was a nightmare. But Keyrenter made my life a living ****. I believe they did all they could to push my family out of the home. Please hear me when I say this. Keyrenter is a scam. They do NOT care about you. They just want your money. I've rented for over 10 years in UT. I've NEVER had such a horrible experience. Oh let's not forget when they switched my utilities out of my name and into the owners. I found this out as I received a notice it would be shut off. When I called they said I switch it into the owners name. Which I did not. Not to mention I pay $120 a month for utilities. But also had to pay them on my own for a time. When I brought this up to Keyrenter they said not to worry that the utilities will be paid. Yeah I know they will be. As I pay them monthly with my rent on top of what I pay to each utility company. They are not reasonable. They penny nickel and dime you. Do yourself a favor and rent with a company that gives a **** about you and your family

We have had nothing but great experience with Keyrenter Property Management. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Maintenance orders are always taken care of in timely manner. They like to check on their tenants like friends periodically. Kelsey is absolutely amazing. She takes care of our requests right away. We want to thank Kelsey, Collin, Maintenance guy Ryan and other team members whom we have dealt with. Landlord of we the property is staying connected with us through mails. We have dealt with another property management during our previous tenancy and had nothing but horrible experience. I would totally recommend Keyrenters to anyone wanting to rent. They are the best in town in my opinion.

KeyRenter personal were quick with responding once I entered my maintenaince request into the Portal. They had a tech contact me the same day to set up an appointment. Once the two quotes were given to KeyRenter they were very quick with reaching out to the owner to make a decision as to what quote he wanted to go with. Once the decision was made the appointment was made with their next available appointment and the tech came and fixed the issue. They did a follow up to make sure everything was working properly.

I am writing this while still renting one of their houses... so I probably won't get my deposit back... but feel the need to share. They do NOT resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner. They respond quickly, but have horrible vendors and do not know how to mediate with unresponsive landlords... I would steer clear of KeyRenter. I live in Salt Lake City. We moved here from North Carolina, so we know hot. The house we rented here in SLC has a swamp cooler. Fine. I know that it won't get more than 20F cooler than outside. But when it is running 24 hrs a day, EVERY DAY, the air inside should not be the same temperature as the outside air. When we moved in last July we had this problem, and it took 4 vendors (some who didn't know what a swamp cooler was), and 2+ months to get it fixed. So it worked, for 3 days before the temps cooled down to where we didn't need it. But I felt it. I felt it work, and it worked well. We're back in summer, and the d*mn thing isn't working properly... again! It's 90F outside and it's 90F inside. Inside my infant child's room. No one is sleeping well, it's tough to eat and really function well when you can't cool down. Children that young can't regulate their own temperatures well. KeyRenter needs to take care of a maintenance issue, especially those that affect the habitability of the unit in a timely manner--- ensuring it is RESOLVED, and not merely looked at by a general maintenance guy who does not know more than swamp cooler basics. and we passed that level. last july. and are in the same cylce. So... I have paid for 3 months of the year in which my rental house is so hot we actually had to have a hotel a few nights (yes, KeyRenter was told this and made no effort at reparations). We are leaving at the end of our year lease, and will rent from anyone BUT KeyRenter. I suggest you heed my warning and do the same. Plus... The house was a MESS when got here, with ~1/3 of the garage full of other tenants belongings, the backyard with decrepit furniture, and the refrigerator water not working.

Rented a house through this company for 1 year. When we rented the house we were told that our $1900 deposit was refundable based on the move out condition of the house. When we moved out we hired a cleaning company and carpet cleaner and the house looked better than it did when we moved in. They then tried to tell us that the move out condition was horrible and charged us ridiculous amounts to "reclean" the house and repaint all the walls (which were chipped before we moved in). Would not listen or reevaluate any of their charges when I voiced my concerns. Ended up only giving us $611 back. We never caused any problems while renting from them. We took care of the house and yard and it looked so much better when we left it than when we moved in. They were also horrible about returning phone calls.
