We were extremely unhappy. The final product was decently done and we can't complain. The way the installation was done was very stressful and unsatisfying. It was a two day job and the second day he had the kitchen blocked out with plastic so we couldn't watch him work. There was a lot of grinding for the sink and cooktop so there was a lot of dust in the air. It didn't seem unusual that they would block the area because of all the dust but what they were doing was installing a countertop that was cracked down the middle. The work the first day was fine. They were pressuring us to give them the money. When we got up the next morning and could see the crack in the daylight, it was obviously that it went all the way across and down. We did manage to get a stop payment on the check because it was a Saturday. It took him two weeks to come back to replace the broken countertop. We were so scared that we paid a second contractor to come in and oversee the operation. The original guy did not come back because he said he had picked up a permanent job. He sent his father who did not speak very much English. They had never glued underneath the broken countertop and it came off in two pieces. Basically they took our money and ran off knowing they had put in a broken countertop that wasn't glued down. We couldn't even have a conversation about what happened. We had interviewed three different contractors and we didn't try to get them to lower their price. The price was fair. We wouldn't recommend them. There was no communication and no apology.

Aaron Grimaldo was highly recommended to finish a kitchen and bathroom remodel another company had left unfinished. We needed counter tops and back splash as well as instillation of appliances and sinks. He met us at the granite yard to help select the granite and was able to schedule the work within a week. He and his crew (including his father) always arrived punctually and worked late to finish the job quickly. Although other companies said that it would be necessary to have a seam between the sink and a bay window behind it, J&A was able to do it in one piece which looks much better. Another amazing feat was his ability to listen to what we were looking for. His suggestion for the back-splash was right on. He took care to make sure the grout was matched perfectly. They were able to do everything we asked them to do (including installing appliances, sinks and faucets) and left us with a beautiful kitchen and bath.
Description of Work: We had been left with an incomplete job by another company and needed counter tops for a very large kitchen and small bath. J&A helped us select the granite, installed it and the back splash as well as appliances and sinks and faucets.
