The installers showed up 4 hours late, hung over, with girlfriends in tow. Of the 4 people (2 installers, 2 girlfriends), only one installer spoke English. He and his girlfriend left after helping move furniture and getting set up leaving one installer and his girlfriend, neither of whom spoke English. I was angry and called Tile Depot to complain. I had been told it was a one day job and only made arrangements to take off one day of work. It was around 2:00 PM before they showed up so I said they had to stay until the job was done if it took all night. One installer worked alone until around midnight with girlfriend keeping him company. The other guy came back and helped move the furniture back. They removed the trash they had thrown out the window a couple of days later. They were terrified of my dogs, which just made it that much more difficult. Bottom line, I got the floor, it appears to have been installed correctly and it looks nice. The trash is gone. However, the work was done in an unprofessional manner and I wouldn't do business with this company again.

I purchased floor tile from this company and found them to be very reasonable to work with. They negotiated a fair price and loaded my truck for me. I rated the quality with a B because my tile was stored outdoors and I inherited a large fire ant hill inside the packaging. I had to treat the tile with ant killer as I was unloading it. I do plan to purchase from Tile Depot again, you just can't beat their prices.

I love these guys! They were so much fun to work with mostly because they are quirky and kind of different. The guys all have great personalities, but the guys I mostly worked with were Lang, the main manager, who helped me select the Sapele hardwoods, Jerry who handled a ton of the customer service, Pablo who did the hardwood install, and Jose who did the carpet install. Also, I worked with Davin and Rosendo at times. What I liked the most, besides the great prices, were that the guys were patient with me as I worked through my selection process. It took me a few weeks to finally decide to go with Tile Depot as well as to decide on which materials. I did a lot of comparison shopping and they were easily the best deal. Their store is not as polished as some of the others, but I was fine with that, they had a good selection at great prices. I brought my fiancee in with me one time and she left thinking they should do a reality show about these guys. They are fun to work, they are friendly, and although some might say a bit disorganized, I prefer to think that they are just a little unconventional and quirky. They are very straightforward and I felt like they were really good about giving good advice about how to handle certain things. I was extremely bargain conscious so it was hard to find a good quality engineered hardwood at my price point (around $3/square foot) but they did it and we are thrilled with the Sapele hardwoods, they are beautiful. I also love the carpet both the quality of it and the install. Pablo did a great job with the install of the hardwood floors. Apparently, my slab was not very level so they had to do quite a bit of leveling. It took a little longer to finish everything off, but the end result was beautiful and well done. There were a couple relatively minor items that I asked them to adjust afterwards, a moulding that was a little loose in one area and another area that needed a quarter round and they were very responsive and happy to fix them. If you want a great deal on flooring with guys that are fun to work with, then I highly recommend Tile Depot.
Description of Work: Install about 1000 square feet of Sapele hardwood floors while also pulling up existing carpet and hauling off. Install around 800 square feet of new carpet. Install new baseboards around all hardwood areas.

The Sales Rep Rosendo was wonderful in his service. However, the supplier of the tile messed up three times which delayed me getting my floor tile on time. The prices were very reasonable so I purchased a slab a granite from them as well. The installer they recommended will NEVER be used by us again. His shoddy workmanship left us with a very sour taste in our mouth. He not only cancelled 3 times, was late and then damaged the wall putting the tile in. After two attempts by this guy to get a hole cut for our sink, my husband finally had to go in and finish the job since he was so incompetent.
Description of Work: We ordered floor tile and granite from them. They recommended the installer for the granite.

I recommend that if you use Tile Depot that you have your own installer, and your installer makes sure you have enough materials. we first went to tile Depot and tried to match existing tile. We have a rectangular room with tile around the sides and berber carpet down the middle. The carpet was worn and we decided to change to tile. We found excellent matching tile and glass tile accents to go around the tile making a "blanket" effect. Rosendo, the manager (?) said the tile would be in on Wednesday and laid on Thursday! We were elated and made arrangements for our sons to be at the house to move furniture. We received a call on Wednesday that not enough of the tile arraived. Since it comes from Dallas we would have to wait for a new shipment. After 4 weeks we received a call that the tile was in and could be laid at 9 am on that Friday. I arranged to work from home. The installer arriaved at around noon, and told my husband that we didn't have enough tile to fit. Because he had to work from the outside in, several small cuts would have to be made and would use more tile than we had. On Saturday Rosendo called and said it would take another month to get more tile and he couldn't guarantee that it would match. I explained that this was unacceptable. I had furniture pushed into the living room and didn't intend to have it moved 4 times. On Monday we decided to purchase a medallion for the middle, then work the tile around. The end result was beautiful, but the process was very stressful. Rosendo refused to accept responsibility for not ordering enough tile in the first place as we gave him the measurements. As I told him, we are not tile experts and he should have consulted the installer to ask if we had enough due to the type of work, or send someone to the house to verify measurements.

I recommend them to friends and will use them again. Besides a delay in the product being delivered (special order), all went on time, the workers kept the work area as clean as possible, and the worksite manager kept open and regular communication with me.
Description of Work: Installed approx 800 sqft of engineered hardwood flooring (birch wood, stained a walnut color, hand-scraped) along with new baseboards and some trim pieces. They fit it perfectly into the tile where the 2 floorings met and worked quickly & efficiently. They completed the job start to finish in about 40 work hours spread over 3 weeks (we had a delay in the middle because part of the wood wasn't delivered from the factory). They have done wood floors in our friends' homes and finished in 3-4 work days.

I knew I had purchased some cheap tiles for most of my house, so the quality of the tile I take as my responsibility. The installation however was not satisfactory. The job started out fairly well and went downhill from there. This was a two to three week job which ended up being three months. The installer kept coming out to the house for just a couple of hours and they would leave to do another job, and sometimes not even showing up as he was doing another job. I complained to the owner and he said that he bid the job low and had to send the installer on other jobs so he could make some money. I said that the job needed to be done as it was costing me money in interest on my construction loan. This did not seem to increase the speed at all on the job. Finally, I broke down and had a few choice words for the installer that did have some effect on him, but his work went downhill from there. He did not make sure that the tiles were even, with no edges sticking up for me to trip on. Thin set was scattered all over the place, on door knobs, windows, outside on the porches where they mixed it and places that you would think should not have had any connection with the flooring. I was still cleaning up thin set two years after I moved in. He did not fill in the gaps between the cabinets and the tile. This was not a professional job. My complaints to the owner seen to go no where and there were always excuses. I will never do any more business with these people.
Description of Work: They sold and installed tiles throughout my new home. This includes all floors, backsplash in kitchen, top to bottom tiles in the shower areas, and half way up the walls in the bathrooms.

The price was very good, granite was high quality and the installation was quick. After the demo they cut the plywood on site. The granite already had the bullnose on it so they cut it to fit outside and brought it in, glued it to the ply wood, and applied a sealer. They also cut the hole for the sink, polished the cut edge and installed the sink. Installation went without a hitch. They showed up on time and did not trash the house. The only issue we had was waiting for the granite to arrive.
Description of Work: Granite installation including demo and sink mounting. The granite was two cm laid over a base of 3/4 in. Plywood that they cut to fit on site and installed. The granite had a bullnose edge that was double the depth ann made the granite appear very thick. We chose this because it cut the weight in half, allowed thebar to overhang twelve inches without having external supports.

We went in to price tile floors, specifically wood plank tiles. The price was great for the tile - better than anything we had seen. While there, they offered installation and the price for that was comparable to others. So the owner/manager - Lang came by our home that same evening to measure and give us a quote to install new floors for the entire first floor of our 2 story house. We selected travertine for the kitchen, the wood plank tiles for the formal dining/living area and a large basic ceramic tile for our den. The kitchen tile was beautifully tiled but they had removed the base molding and installer-Jose had no intention of replacing it until we called Lang to complain. Lang said it would be replaced to our liking when the other floors are installed. When our wood plank floors were installed, either the wrong grout was used or it was not mixed properly because the color did not look at all like what we had wanted and the installer-Jose also left a big mess. There was grout splashed all over the walls, door, and base moldings. It also looked like he had not wiped the grout up from the floor very well becasue there were smear stains on all the tiles. We called Lang to complain about the look of the grout and the mess, he stated that it was not customary for them to clean-up after themselves and we would have to do that ourselves. He even proceeded to tell us how to do that. We insisted that he come over to at least look at the color of the grout. He came over and agreed that there was something wrong with the grout. While there my husband brought up the grout haze all over the tiles and again he insisted that would be easily removed if we would just mop. My husband asked for a demonstration and when Lang attempted to clean, it would not come off. Lang then scheduled to come back with a representative of the grout manufacturere. The representative stated that the color problem does happen from time to time and is usually the fault of the person mixing the grout. The only solution to the grout haze on the tiles themselves was to mop the floors at least a dozen times and it should look ok by then. We then had to schedule the installer-Jose to come back and "stain" the grout to the correct color. When he finished, he gave me the bottle of stain and said that I would probably need to touch up some areas. Again he left a mess all over the base moldings, walls, and doors. We complained to Lang again, he said Jose would correct everything when we scheduled him to come back to complete the floor in our den. The first floor of our home is a split-level, so we have 2 steps going down into the den. Again, the tile work in the den was beautiful but apparently there was not enough tile to cover the steps into the den and Jose took it upon himself to install another tile on those steps that did not match either floor adjacent to it. Unfortunately, I was not home at the time of that part of the installation, but I arrived just as he was leaving and I said, "What is that tile on the steps? I didn't ask for that tile there." Jose just smiled and said, "Well, you'll have to ask Lang about that, he told me to put that there because you didn't have enough tile". He then left. I had some other contractors at my home at that same time who offered to take it off for me since it was still wet. I said, "No, they'll just have to come back and correct it". So, again we call Lang and had to schedule another day for Jose to come back to remove that tile. Lang did offer to put something else on the steps, but by then, we just could not be away from work anymore. Lang did end up giving us a discounted price for the steps and I guess the trouble. Bottom line: Yes, the price is good. Yes, we do love our floors now. But, we would not use them again due to all the hassle and mistakes. The whole process was just too stressful and time-consuming.
Description of Work: We had new tile floors installed in our kitchen, formal living, dining, and den.

Despite 2 weeks notice prior to installation start date and assurances that ordering the laminatae we wanted would only take 2-3 days to receive, on the scheduled start date, only about half of the materials had arrived. The remaining materials arrived 2 days later, so we lived with a bit of a mess for a lot longer than anticipated. That aside, the crew did an excellent job, were very professional and did a great job of cleaning up and removing the old materials. They even provided much more assistance than we expected in helping us to put the furniture back on the new flooring. At this point in time, we anticipate using them again when we begin the next phase of our remodeling

Everything was done as was laid out. They gave good advice. The tile work was also included in the price. They came to start the work a day early and they were done when they said they would be done. Everything was what we hoped it would be. I definitely would use them again in the future except now we don't need any more flooring. The downstairs is all tile and the upstairs is all wood. I would definitely recommend them.

The Tile Depot did a great job. The installation crew was on time every morning and did a great job. We couldn't of been more pleased. The installation crew did a really good job of cleaning up as they left every day. Lang over at the Tile Depot has a small shop and it's not as fancy as some of the larger ones in town, but definitely talk to them before going with the other larger shops. The prices at the Tile Depot were great too. I was able to install wood and new tile on the main level for the price that two other flooring companies were charging for just the wood. We're going to have in install new granite countertops and a new back splash in the kitchen in the near future.
Description of Work: The Tile Depot removed all of the carpet from the down stairs (about 1000 sq. ft.) and removed the tile that was in my kitchen (about 400 sq. ft.). They then replaced the carpet with engineered wood and installed new tile in the kitchen.
