They were friendly and helpful with the things you want to do but they need to do better with the fine detail. The work was great but the problem was they didn't finish the job. They left some work undone.

The estimate was decent, pretty good. They ended up taking a lot longer than they said. It was just a mess. They brought the wrong paint, they had to come back and redo areas. They didn't trim out right. Still we finally just told them to leave and not to finish.

It went very well. They were on time. They do good work. I was very satisfied.

Did not hire.

We couldn't be happier with the job performed by Steve and his crew and subcontractors. They did an excellent job and completed the repairs as quickly as possible so that we could get back to using our master bath. This was a very stressful situation for us, since it required tearing out part of the tile wall, and we weren't sure they would be able to find replacement tile and trim to match the rest of the tile wall. It helped immensely that Steve is such a compassionate person and did everything he could to put our minds at ease. They did everything possible to contain the mess and to match the tile and trim perfectly. Steve is a true professional and I highly recommend him.

Second Impressions estimate was a little to high for me. They did their estimate and they were very professional. I thought what they wanted to much for what I wanted. Overpriced in other words.

This handyman is very busy. Took many phone calls and texts to finally work out a date to have the repairs made. The owner, Stephen, is very personable and professional. Showed up on time and made all repairs as quoted. I was a little disappointed in the quality of some of the repairs, but I'm also very picky. The sheetrock repair in the ceiling is not great. It is very obvious where the repair was made. However, the repair in the wall above the door is beautiful. Two different people worked on the two repairs. The tile replacement around tub surround was not fixed as explained. They did not grout around the new tiles, but rather just filled in the space between the new tiles with caulk. I discovered this after they left. I feel it would have been appropriate to tell me of the change in plans and possibly discount the cost of this repair accordingly, but this is just a minor issue for me. I also noticed that they chipped some of the replacement tile, but filled it in with caulk (tile is offwhite, caulk is white), so it is not very obvious, but I was a little disappointed in this. They did an adequate job of cleaning up, and finished in a timely fashion. There were two workers and Steve that showed up, and everyone was extremely courteous.

Steve has done various repairs for us for several years with no problems. His electricians, carpenters, painters, house siders, tile and granite people are terrific. I love all the work he has done. My kitchen looks totally new even though I did not replace the cabinets. He also repaired the door frame and installed exterior door in master suite that 2 other remodelers had been unable to hang properly. After years of misalignment it finally is straight. The tile work is gorgeous as is the granite installation. The house painting is fine and the new siding is super looking. This year, I plan to have Second Impression repair my deck, lay new laminate flooring in the den and misc small repairs. He always backed his work and I recommend him to friends and family. I never knew Steve until I hired him several years ago. I trust him for all my work. I forgot: he also replaced and painted my entire wood privacy fence another time. It, too, looks great. His prices were all competitive or less than others. He has also referred me to an appliance man who did a good job for me.
