 + -1 moreOne of the gate posts had rotted and broken and I assumed both posts would be equally rotted. However, after Richard started working on the gate, he discovered that only one of the posts had rotted. He informed me immediately and showed me the post. Sure enough, only one posts needed to be replaced. Based on his finding, he lowered the pricing accordingly and promptly completed the repair. Additionally, he even showed me the cause of the post being rotten. A lawn sprinkler was spraying on the one post causing it to rot prematurely. Richard's pricing was very reasonable, the quality of his work was excellent. The gate works better than it ever has. He was very prompt. He gave me a same day quote and started the job the next day. He was very honest about the work that actually needed to be done. He could have just repaired what I asked him to and made more money but he didn't. He is very trustworthy. I will definitely be calling Richard for my future handyman needs.
Description of Work: Fence and gate repair. Asked him to replace 2 rotted gate posts, the gate and gate hardware on side of house.

 + 2 moreCost twice as much as originally planned because everything had to be re-dune.
Description of Work: Painted apt. Got paint all over the floor. Replaced vinyl flooring in bathroom. Had to be torn out re-done. Materials were not usable. Had to buy more. Sheetrock texture had to be re-dune, used premixed texture which looked terrible after being painted.

 + -1 moreNot good, it became very expensive activity when you have to buy materials twice and have it done twice.
Description of Work: Sheet rock, painting, vynel floor installation. He's a good interior painter but that's it. Sheet rock installed ok but texturing was terrible and had to be redone. Vynel flooring was totally ruined and had to be redone.

 + -1 moreIt was great...he's an honest, hardworking, no-nonsence handyman. Good prices!
Description of Work: Richard was awesome...I wanted a very simple stone patio outside of my screened porch, big enough to walk on and hold a barbeque grill. He did a great job and worked non-stop. We picked the exact stones I wanted and he placed them scientifically with levels and measuring; he also dug up about a THOUSAND rocks to get it placed, which was a lot of labor and didn't charge me extra. A very reliable handyman. He's done other stuff for me too inside the house. I really recommend him.
