MOSS CONTRACTING SERVICES

This contractor has a judgement for $7500 of the $10000 he was paid due to taking my money and not doing the work. Look him up before hiring or you could lose your money as well. The judge gave him credit for $2500 for supposedly leveling the floor which still sloped 4 degrees. Buyer beeare!

Jeff Moss with Moss Contracting Services is NOT reliable. If you should come across this man and his company RUN away as fast and as far as you can. I contracted an over $8,250 job back in May of 2017. The job was for taking down a room and removing the debree, replacing 1 window and putting in 2 windows, rebuilding a chimney, building a patio and to replace a roof. He cashed my checks and I am out $6,625 of the contract. Today is Friday September 7, 2018. Over the course of a year, 3 1/2 months 2 weeks and a few days to this present day here is where we are currently at with the job. The room was taken down and the debree removed. The windows are in, not complete. Only the top half of the chimney has been rebuilt. I called everyday for a full month to both his phone numbers and everytime left a vm. He has yet to answer the phone or return a single call. RUN AWAY AS FAR AND AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS MAN JEFF MOSS WITH MOSSS CONTRACTING SERVICES.

The entire process went without a hitch! On time, every time! The workers were kind, considerate and worked extremely hard at an incredible pace. The roof looks great.

The tore down our ceiling in the kitchen, rewired the kitchen with recess lighting and fix some items in the attic that were not up to code.

Mr. Moss hired a kid to remove the texture with a 4" spatula. After 4 weeks, the ceiling texture had not all been removed. He paid the young man with a hot check! He then hired some shady characters to blow the texture on the walls. He was never available to get supplies (mud, sheetrock or metal bead) for his 'employees' - he was always in Austin or at the hospital with his mother-in-law. He claimed he was doing work for Eye Masters and he couldn't be here. The men he hired were doing a mess with the texture. After repeated attempts to communicate with him, I had to fire him. He agreed - in writing - to refund $1,200 by 04/18/2008. After he left, I hired another crew to finish the work. When they removed the cardboard on my wood floors, they were all scratched up and ruined. One estimate to refinish them was $900. Mr. Moss said he was licensed. When confronted with the damaged floors, he claimed that his insurance was not in effect when he did my job. He said the floors were damaged because he only charged me to cover them with cardboard - not masonite or plywood! He had his wife, son and daughter cover the floors before work was started. He never offered an option or mentioned anything about the wood floors. The men he hired had trouble getting their money from Mr. Moss. They waited until 7PM one Friday evening for their money. I gave them his home address, and when they threatened to go there, then he agreed to come pay them. I filed a complaint with the BBB - Case # 90130456. He had until Aug. 4th to respond, but he never responded. I don't think Mr. Moss does any work - he just gets contracts and then looks for people to hire to do the work. He then just collects the profits and forgets about his customers and his 'employees'. He has no tools, just a bucket of 'junk' tools that are not worth any money. He drives around in a black suburban - and his wife is always with him. They promise everything, then after they gain your confidence, they rip you off. He even had his kids with him on several occasions. Supposedly they are home-schooled. I can't help but to wonder what they are learning!!!
