Adequate result. The actual paint job was good. Prep work to include minor repair of soffit screen was never accomplished. During post paint inspection, Logan Richter advised he would take care of it. Never heard back from him. During my original meeting with Mr Richter to survey the exterior, I asked for an estimate for a possible interior paint job. He took the measurements and subsequently lost them due to computer issues. He never advised me until I inquired during the post paint inspection. He indicated he would be in touch--never heard back from him. I believe the ability to keep your word is a mirror of who you are---enough said! I would not recommend Carnival Painting

Initial service was delayed by inclement weather, and more rain during the painting process also delayed project completion (NOTE - this is completely understandable and beyond the control of the company). Once they were able to get started, the work was done very professionally - they first power-washed the exterior, then caulked all joints, replaced some rotted wood, and painted the exterior of the home. We did have a few issues during the process: 1) some paint spills occurred (expected this), but we had to have them come back out to power wash steps (which was done within 2 days of our final walk around). ISSUE WAS RESOLVED PROMPTLY 2) We discovered a couple of areas (trim) that hadn't been painted - again, we brought this to the attention of the supervisor and this was fixed within a few days. ISSUE WAS RESOLVED PROMPTLY 3) biggest issue - we (with the supervisor) had asked for some cleanup of caulking and touch-up on the exterior of our French doors (which had been painted, we just needed some additional "fixes"). When the team returned to fix this, they ended up painting the wrong door - a pretty new (2 years old) fiberglass French door that did not need painting. The painting team did this when the supervisor/manager was not on-site. We have called and spoken to the manager about it and they are still working to resolve the issue. Now, painting the door is certainly not the 'end of the world' but we did not want it painted, and, since we were not home when this occurred, there are areas of the door which weren't painted at all, so there is a white "rim" around the edge of the door (white was the original color). We expect some type of reimbursement on this, as this is a $1500 custom-made door and sidelights that should never have been painted. Additionally, the French doors which needed to be finished up hasn't been done. WE ARE STILL AWAITING FINAL RESOLUTION ON THIS (issue occurred last week - 6/13/2014). Right now, I am rating Carnival with a "B" pending results of our issue at #3 above.

Purchased a package through Angie's List for exterior painting. Brad was very easy to work with. He provided a very fair estimate for the work (trim repairs and additional painting not covered by the package deal). The end result was EXCELLENT! The crew that did the work were sub-contractors to Carnival, not Carnival employees, but Carnival obviously did a great job screening the sub-contractors as they provided superior results.

I would like to request a refund of my Big Deal I purchased on Friday, May 2, for the $1,399 paint deal. The deal said it was a $2,600 value and up to 1,600 sq feet. When the guy came out to measure he sent us the quote and it was for $2,260. It did not show the square footage so I called and told the guy I had purchased the $1,399 deal and it said it was a $2,600 value so I figured it would cover it since the total came to $2,260. He informed me that it would not because the square footage came out to 2,300. I then got another bid from a very reputable company and it came back at $1,800 so I do not feel their Big Deal was that great of a deal.

The work is fine. However, the owner is unreliable and doesn't come to his appointments as promised.

Brad and his crew were professional and courteous - communication was good. The house was prepped and the paint was applied to the house well, although a couple areas of wood repair were not done as had been discussed. The double entry doors had originally been stained wood doors which had veneer that was de-laminating in places and bubbling in others. It was a challenging task getting a good finish on the doors. It took three attempts to get a satisfactory result. I credit Brad and his crew for sticking with it and seeing the job through but feel like I could have given the job a better overall score if the right approach had been used in the first place. I also held back on the score a bit because of a lack of clean-up. I ended up picking up the larger pieces of scraped paint and calk and sweeping the concrete areas myself. Overall I feel like I got a pretty good result for a good price.

They were professional and courteous. I would use them again.

I was very pleased with the work they did. They worked very hard. Our house is old, so a lot of wood needed to be replaced. They came when they said they would. We had some rain, but Brad would always call if they wouldn't be here. They worked long hours, sometimes from 9 am to 5 pm. I give them A's for everything! My neighbors were very impressed. They have since come back for a few touch ups.

I purchased the Big Deal for exterior painting from Carnival Custom Painting. I was quickly contacted by owner, Brad Matejek and we set up a time to meet at my property. When we met, Brad and I discussed my project, to include a couple of things I wanted to add to the service, as well as a paint upgrade. When the date came to paint my house, the crew of 4 painters showed up on time and did really nice, clean work. As well, they were very pleasant and readily answered some questions that I had. I noticed that the paint they were using was definitely the upgraded paint I had requested, but that it was a flat finish rather than the satin finish that I had contracted for. I called Brad to discuss this and he immediately came to my house to meet with me. Brad was great and so professional about the whole situation! He completely accepted responsibility for the error and did not try to persuade me to accept the flat finish even though it would end up being a costly mistake. In fact, the very next day the crew showed up and re-painted the house with the upgraded, satin finish paint I had originally contracted for. The situation could have been stressful, but Brad took care of things right away. I think this speaks volumes regarding the kind of person Brad Matejek is and the kind of company he runs! I can recommend Carnival Custom Painting without reservation and will continue to use them for all of my painting needs. Brad, thanks again for everything!

Great. They scheduled the job at a time that worked for us. They arrived on time, stuck to the task at hand and finished it the same day. They did a great job!

The process took forever but they are busy (because they are good) and the weather has been crazy. They use good quality paint, did good work and went above and beyond.

I was very happy with them. They were very professional and punctual. They came back when I was unhappy with the paint and repaint it again.

The two gentlemen from Carnival Painters were most cordial and courteous. They worked non-stop, except for a 20 minute lunch, for 8 hours. They did an outstanding job. I wholeheartedly recommend Carnival Painters to others who need their services.

The crew was about 30 minutes late and since I am a worrier, I was concerned. Once they showed up, 3 painters immediately began moving my furniture, covering it to protect it, and cutting in. When Brad (the owner) showed up, they'd already gotten a good bit done. The color was not the same as shown on the Sherwin Williams card so they took back the paint and had it re-tinted to the next shade on the card. It was much better! My downstairs hallway was red and it needed a coat of Kilz to prevent the red from bleeding through my now neutral color. I had 2 large, antique doors bolted to my wall and the crew removed them carefully in order to paint behind them. When they left for the day, the doors were not re-connected b/c the paint had to dry. The same for my curtain rods upstairs; paint wasn't dry. Brad came back the next day and re-attached the doors and the curtain rod! That is service! I would happily use him and his team again.

After the job was completed, the owner of Carnival Custom Painting came to my home to do a "walk-through". When he arrived at my front door - before he even came into my home - he immediately suggested he wanted his guys to come back and do a better job of refinishing the front door. I would never have noticed the problem, but he saw it, and HE WANTED IT CORRECTED! I understand now why Brad is rated "A" on all his reviews. His crew returned, and at no charge, corrected the problem. It's very refreshing to see this kind honesty and integrity when there are so many horror stories out there. I suggest that if anyone needs interior or exterior painting done in their home, they may want to get a bid from Carnival Custom Painting.

Scheduling problems all winter due to weather. Brad at carnival was very kind and polite. No problems there.

This is the 3rd time we have used Carnival Painting for our painting needs. They have done some other interior painting and the entire exterior of our house. Brad Matejek (owner) is extremely easy to work with, so when another Angie's List coupon came up, we did not hesitate to buy it because we do have on-going painting needs in our rather-large home and our rental property. The coupon was for two workers for a day. Victor and Israel showed up on time and did a great job on all of the work (painted cabinets, trim, touch-ups, etc.) as requested. Everything looks great as usual when Carnival Painting does the work. We will certainly continue to use them without hesitation.

After meeting Brad and speaking with him, we felt that we should go with Carnival. It wasn't one of the cheaper quotes we were given, but well worth the money. We did have an issue with the store who supplied the paint, but Brad and the painters took care of everything. We would definitely hire Carnival again.

Brad came to the house to assess the project and prepare a quote promptly. We scheduled right away. His crew arrived the day promised on time and they were exceptional. They were also courteous and professional. I am very glad I choose Carnival Custom Painting. Brad delivered what he promised and his crew did great work. They worked steadily, were very neat, cleaned up daily and the end product is a definite professional experience. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. Strongly recommend this Company.

Great job of painting the interior of my house.

Brad came over a few days before my appointment and we talked about the scope of the work. I had a stairwell and some high wall areas I wanted definitely wanted painted first and then whatever I could get based on the pre-purchased Angie's List Deal (2 painters for 8 hours). The painters arrived and got right to work. They were very nice and were skilled painters. They did a wonderful job and completed quit a lot more work than I thought they would. Actually, they finished all of it! I am very pleased. I will certainly used them again.
