ACL Painting

We originally wanted one of our bathrooms painted, and was hoping we could negotiate on getting venetian plaster done, but the vendor's quote was way more than we were willing to pay on top of the original cost of the deal, so we settled on having them do one of our bedrooms. There was no problems with the quality of work, rather getting it scheduled. It seemed our little project was not a priority to the vendor, so we kept getting bumped and it was confusing who we were dealing with: the father or the son - it seemed neither talked to the other, so there was a lot of having to explain over and over again. This company can work a little harder at presenting a professional image and working on their communication skills. But the work itself was satisfactory.

Ron Sr & Ron Jr did a great job with our living and dining rooms. They were friendly and easy to talk to. They were even patient with our dog constantly wandering through the work area. I particularly appreciated their willingness to retouch areas I pointed out. They truly seemed committed to making sure my wife and I were satisfied with the outcome. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a good paint job at a fair price.

fair. the project completion was later than promised and they blamed the other contractor. the amount of ceiling dust was unbelievable and on everything i had to pay a cleaning company to come in and clean up. it was awful. the work looks good but getting there was a process.

After my initial 99.00 painting for 1 room, I asked Mr. Ramirez for an estimate to paint my 2 bathrooms, which had wallpaper. Mr. Ramirez provided me a very reasonable quote, thus we set a date for the job. Mr. Ramirez arrived with a fellow painter and proceeded to remove the wallpaper from 1 bathroom, and the other bathroom was Kiltz primed. Mr. Ramirez and his helper removed all the fixtures, mirrors, and expertly covered all exposed areas. Day one was completed with wallpaper removed on one bathroom and textured, the other bathroom was primed and textured. Day 2, Mr. Ramirez arrived with 2 helpers. Mr Ramirez proceeded to cover the work area where he was to repair the ceiling crack while his helpers painted the ceiling of the 2 bathrooms and proceeded to primer in preparation to paint. Michael Ramirez and his helpers know what they are doing and very professional in their approach to their craft. I would highly recommend A C L Painting and will definitely use them again.

That turned out well and they did a great job. Him and his crew came out and painted 6 rooms for me; which is basically the whole house. I did have to pay more for the service for the work since they also did some things outside too. He had to come back multiple days, due to me having to be home when he was here. There are a also a couple things that he has to come back to do for basic touch up.

The weather, and then a family emergency delayed our start date, but once the job was started they were there like clockwork until the job was complete. I was impressed by Michael's promptness in coming out to give me an estimate. He even came out on a Sunday! I had lots of questions and sent several e-mails, he was always very courteous and quick with his replies. During the job he called and checked in to make sure I was happy with everything, he was there and available every step of the way. A great communicator.

The workman left paint splatters all over the woodwork, cabinets, floor and mirror plus rinsed off his brushes, etc, in the shower, leaving paint behind there.

Did an outstanding job! Michael 's sons were very professional and personable. Their work exceeded our expectations. You should use their services. Would not hesitate to hire Michael & family again.

Michael took a look at the house over the weekend and submitted a quote VIA email the next day. By phone we discussed detail, agreed upon what was to be done, and the start date. Cold days delayed the original start day but communication was good during this period. With improved weather I got a call from Ron saying he would arrive that morning to start prep on the job. He arrived right on time, we went over the details, and he immediately started the job. Weather again delayed the project but during the delays communication was great. As a point of reference, I have some stucco gables and chimney that are over 30' tall and they were handled carefully and nicely. Minor cracks were calked and painted professionally. ALL IN ALL - I couldn't be more pleased with the end results of the job and the work Ron put into making the final product excellent!!!.

Two coats of paint. Very well done. I appreciated the painter enough to give him a cash bonus. This company is very busy so it may take a day or two for them to respond to the initial request to set up an appointment. I would use this company again. The cost was extremely reasonable.

I haven't had any work done by A C L Painting yet. I purchased a Big Deal for their services, but he wants me to pay him additional money. I've bought a special before for them and they told me my house was too much then and that I had to pay more. So he advertises certain things, but when he comes out to your house, he acts like it's more than what he was advertising and he asks for additional money. We haven't agreed on if he's going to do anything or what he's going to do. His dad told me the job wouldn't even take them that long. This is also just a part-time job for him.

Quality and service was great. Had some scheduling issues but the painter came out on Saturday and Sunday; which saved us from being available during the week.

My initial estimate with Michael was professional and prompt, I had high hopes for the company based on the reviews...at that time. After the ordeal was finally over, I waited to write a review because I had been so frustrated I didn't want to be unfair. However, as the months have passed and I notice more and more missed spots, old paint peaking through, uneven lines, ceiling paint splattered on the wall, paint on furniture, paint on my hardwood floors (which I asked them to cover and protect almost daily, and even had to call several to times to remind them), as well as one entirely missed room (which I say missed with generosity, given I brought it up repeatedly and they still never did it)...I figure my review is now fair. I think the manager means well, he was always responsive, always wanted to make things right, he went above and beyond in his intentions...however, he was never there to see his promises completed, never came with the crew to ensure anything that he said he would do. It was not cheap either!! It was a huge waste of time and money. I have since cleaned up almost all of it on my own. In short, the work was sloppy, it took two weeks too long, they did damage to my floors and furniture, the crew used profanity and left a mess in my house every day, and it wasn't cheap....will never use again.

ACL Painting stated he would paint 2000 sq ft of interior painting for $599.00. My house is only 2500 sq ft total. I only wanted about 1200 sq fit of painting for the advertised price. However, when the representative came to survey the house, he added an additional $400.00. This company uses a "bait-and-switch" tactic. ACL Painting is deceptive in its advertising and has no business being in Angie's List. I will not recommend them to other homeowners.

We purchased a $100 for one room painting deal from ACL painting and were very happy with their service. Once we made contact with the company, we were able to schedule their services in a timely manner. I would recommend them and would use their services again.

Purchased a deal through angies list and this provider has not contacted me back after multiple attempts. Will never attempt to use them again.

Mike arrived at the job site (my home) and surveyed the room which was to be painted. My wife and I had already removed any excess furniture and had moved the remaining furniture to the center of the room. We had also removed the window treatment, had also spackled any small nail holes. In other words, a lot of the prep stuff had been done. Mike did notice that the room was almost ready for painting when he arrived. One thing that Mike did was remove all the light and power wall plates. Mike did a great job painting the room with paint I had left over from a a previous job. Mike was conscientious, professional, and diligent. I would use ACL Painting service again.

Services were professional and priced right. Only complaint I had was Michael Jr. not coming when originally scheduled. We rescheduled the following week and I met up with Michael Sr. that day. Michael Sr. came out, looked at what needed to be done, agreed on a price and time, and was there when he said he was going to be. Marcus (I think thats what his name is) and Paul came out when scheduled and exceeded my expectations. I will definitely use them in the future.

Michael Ramirez of ACL Painting worked with us to accommodate our schedule. The individual that Michael sent to do the painting, Paul, was on time, professional, knowledgeable and went the extra step to be sure we were pleased with the results.

On the day of the 11th at 9:30am, I called Mr. Ramirez and asked him if he was going to work at my house today. He informed me that he was on his way. About an hour later (11am) I called Mr. Ramirez back and asked him where he was. He informed me that he was looking at jobs. I told him that he had a job at my house today at 9:30am. He told me that he did not write the information in his book so he would not be able to make it to my place. I told him he had a job at my house at 9:30am and no one was here. He said he would have someone at my home in about 30 minutes. About an hour later I get a call from the person that is suppose to be coming to my house saying he cannot find it. After all of this (12:30pm), I told him not to bother coming to the house. I was very disappointed with the lack of organization of this company. The owner needs to work closer with the other workers to ensure that they do not miss appointments.

They never called, never showed up. They called two days later. By then I had found another company.

They never returned my messages to receive an estimate.

Did a great job--amazing how cleanly he can cut in to the woodwork. The closets and master bath especially were very detailed.

I did not hear from the painter after purchasing the coupon in late September. I called in December to set up a time for him to look at the job. We knew some repairs were necessary to our porch before painting could be done and thought they were minor. After 2 or 3 cancelled appointments Michael came out and said even though our brick house only has painted surfaces on the trim, porch, doors and two bay windows, we were told that this would cost more than the $899 cost for 1600 square feet. He wants to charge us $400 for power washing before painting and $450 for "extra square feet and difficulty" and $500 to fix the porch. We know we need to fix the porch and would like to use our funds to repair the porch correctly, we can't afford the porch repair and all these extra charges for painting. We would like to use a carpenter to repair the porch correctly, not a painter. Please refund our purchse.

They really met the expectations and they were reasonably priced. The worked turned out good and the providers were good.
