A B Custom Painting

A B Custom painting arrived Monday morning (6/25) and described what they were going to do. I had moved out some and furniture and was concern about the ceiling fans. They assured me that they would take care of that and they didi. Chue spend Monday removing the old popcorn from ceiling and prep for painting. Cleaned up after that job. He returns on Tues. to paint and does the job very well. This was only one room, the largest in the house. A B Custom Painting worked very well with my schedule and I did not have to any changes because of their schedule. I am very happy with the job they did. I also speak for my husband, this is off of his Honey Do List.

Most of the crew's time was spent in prep! Loved that Anthony brought in a color expert who was able to match our colors perfectly. Good crew, left everything clean. I thought the price was fair and the work excellent.

I was very happy with the work that was provided. The re-texture and paint work was very good. The ceiling garage looks like there was never a water leak. A part of the ceiling was sagging and looks great now. The painting of the kitchen/dining room area and bathroom looked very professional. My wife was very happy with the results. My only recommendation to future customers, is to be patient when trying to set up an appointment. Anthony and is his crew are very busy and sometimes it takes a while for him to get back with you. Also, when you have popcorn texture removed, you need to expect that it will be a messy job. Anthony and his crew covered all the necessary areas and more, with plastic tarps and canvass paint drop cloths but tiny dust has a way of escaping all of that. Anthony and his crew even cleaned up after the jobs but there is so much they can do. Expect to be cleaning that fine dust for a few days after they leave. Overall, I was very pleased with the work performed and very fair price for the work completed! I plan to use Anthony and his crew in the future to repair and paint some of my old house siding.

His crew was very professional and did their best not to disturb our life while doing the job. And I like his very simple guarantee; Just call him back if somethings not right and he comes right out to fix it. The price? No argument there. About half of what the commercial outfits who advertise on the radio charge. Recommend? Heck yes. In fact I'll be calling him back to interior touch ups later this year if we sell the house. House looks new again. His team completed the interior of my 3000 sq ft house in less than two days. (estimated 4 days) Then finished the exterior in another two days. (estimated 3 days). I like how he brings the Valspar mobile paint truck directly to the house to match the paint color exactly and buy exactly the right amount of paint. They did an excellent job cleaning up as well.

Overall I feel I received what I paid for but I have had other ceiling replaced in my home and would use the company I used previously.

The workmanship was terrible. They did not fulfill what they provided in the estimate. Lots of the areas they did fix actually look worse now. They were not professional and went into rooms of my house that they were not supposed to. They said it would be a two day job and they rushed through it and didn't get the job done well at all. The amount of paint they told me to buy was completely incorrect. They told me to buy 7 for the walls and 5 for the ceilings and they used far less than that. Finally, they did not clean up very well at all.

They arrived late, but did call. I used the coupon thru angies list, and had them do another bathroom. They were fairly clean, and did the job. I asked for an estimate to paint the rooms they removed the popcorn and also removing popcorn and painting my master bedroom. They never responded with a quote. They don't seem like they will go the extra mile to make a customer happy. They do what they say, but no a penny more. Which is fair, but not how you get referrals or more jobs. Like I said, I gave them the opportunity to have more work, but they never followed up. Why should I?

Anthony was great from start to finish. I called and he met me the same day to give me a quote. His quote was 1/4 of the price a larger company quoted me and he was willing to start the next day. The painters were on time and courteous. Overall quality of the work was great and they would have finished the job in a single day if Home Depot hadn't mixed the wrong color paint. I would definitely use again!

Job scheduled to run from 7/2 through 7/6 ran through 7/5- advised home preparation prior to his arrival such as moving furniture to center of rooms advised of back charge fee if he had to do it-crew consists of 3 painters, 1 carpenter, 1 generalist-methodical at thier work-crew preps-repairs cracks, textures-paint trim-paint walls-allows a day for walk through and preparation of punch list-returns with crew and completes taskwell orgainized

The estimate was 2,900. I ended up paying 3,500. The work was ok. When the job was done they left materials in my yard. They said they didn't have their truck and would have to pick it up later. I called and reminded them after a week of them not returning to pick up their trash. They still haven't returned my calls.

Discussed job upon arrival and gave us the "upcharge" due to amount of space and our request for prime and paint.Wrapped most of the area but had to request a protection barrier between the area and rest of the house (and cover for furniture dividing the area).Did a good job of matching up textures with existing areas.Only took break for lunch - keep up steady work flow.Clean up outside was hindered due to rain downpour - not company's fault.Small issues with inside clean up but easily remedied by customer.Overall, a good experience and would use company again.

The y were supposed to be here at 9 am and they showed up 2:15 pm. My wife had called to confirm the appointment about 20min before 9am and they said they had a big job and would be here around noon. They came over and measured the ceiling and said it would cost and extra 268.00 for a 16x25 room for additional work that needed to be done. We did not come to work agreement terms.

The price was very good, but the quality was lacking in a few areas. The painters were almost always on time. They used plastic sheeting to cover everything and were careful with the furniture. They were very pleasant, but often we had a hard time communicating with them due to a language barrier. We have a male friend who was able to communicate with them, but he wasn't always available. We were unhappy to discover that they had been cleaning their brushes on the front lawn. They complied when asked to clean their brushes in a particular part of the backyard. Fortunately, the front yard grass did not die and is now growing back; but it was unsightly for a while. Paint was left on window panes in a few places, but it scraped off easily. Some patching was done to the sheet rock (example: where a fixture was removed and a new one installed), but the patchwork does not match the existing Monterrey texturing. On the first day of work, the painters requested to use the bathrooms. After days of their using every bathroom in the house, we began wishing that we had told them "no" the first time they asked. All-in-all, we feel like we got what we paid for.

They are not very professional and they have poor follow up and are not responsive.

Great experience! Anthony only took about 3 hours to complete the project. Very happy with his work. While he was here he gave me an estimate for the kitchen, which we'll we have him back to complete later this year!

Once he arrived we talked about removal of the popcorn ceiling from 3 other rooms. Anthony and his crew arrived on time and did a fantastic job. Once he had finished the removal he painted the areas with 2 coats. He removed some old 1970's style decorative beams from the dining room and painted the center beam. In addition he painted the main bathroom. All of this was finished in 2 days.

They are excellent!!! They came out and gave an estimate, set up the date for the work, and gave reasonable prices. They were going to be 30 min late, but they called ahead and told me. I really appreciated that. When they arrived here, I had already purchased the paint. They listened to all my concerns. They worked quickly and were clean! Any request I had, they did it with no complaints at all. They were respectful, courteous, neat, and the owner--I think his name was Anthony--was just a very personable man. I am going to have more painting done and will certainly call them. I asked Anthony about future painting and varying the colors to tie them in with the colors in the hallway. He knew what he was talking about, so I will definitely take his advice. His crew was so clean. I can?t complain about anything. He laid down something for the workers to walk on to keep my carpet clean. At the end he asked if I had a broom and dustpan to clean up the floor in the bathroom. Not all painters will sweep, pickup, and vacuum. They did. So, when they left, everything was clean. The two rooms look AWESOME!! It is truly amazing what a difference a few coats of paint makes. **He also did some drywall work for me that no one was able to repair before. He was spectacular!! Reasonably priced and very good at cleaning up. I really couldn't be happier with his repair. If I were to ever have any dry wall issues again, I would not have anyone do it but him. He really takes personal pride in what he does, and you just don't see that very much.

My phone calls were returned same day. Work started as scheduled and completed in reasonable time. Work done carefully and professionally. Upon completion, company cleaned up site thoroughly.

Our living room's ceiling starts at normal height, but slopes up steeply to our loft. It flows into the breakfast room, which is also sloped. We'd just had the carpet removed from the l.r., and figured since we had the furniture moved out, we'd have the "popcorn" removed. There are two ways to do this; remove the popcorn completely, then re-texture and paint. They did this in the part of the l.r. where there was water damage around the skylight. The other way is to sand the popcorn down to a point where it looks just like the freshly textured part. I was surprised at how well it matched. Our ceiling has the two skylights in wells, two beams, and a portion of ceiling underneath the loft, so lots of challenges. The ceiling in the dining room looked very wavy with the popcorn on it, so it was explained that it may be more obvious after the texture was removed, and we discussed options, like cutting out the wavy portion and replacing. As it turned out, it didn't look wavier, but we were prepared for additional work. The workers were courteous and hard-working. It is a messy job, no matter how careful the workers are. The white dust manages to get out of the rooms they've tented.

The owner arrived on time and we had a conference about pricing and the job specs ...... He left a crew member here to do the job... His employee was here all day, painting. The gentleman was excellent.... no messes, steady hand and well-defined paint lines.He took a 15 minute lunch break and that was it.....exceptionally hard-worker and very polite. NO, the boss was not here, but he does not need to be when he hires such great help. My walls are perfect.

Showed up on time. Took a week with two man crew +/- Anthony. Easy to work with. Polite. Take pride in their work. Cleaned up everything and did not make a mess. Very pleased with job they did.

I would not recommend him. He was very messy. They were not punctual. He did not come when he said he would be here. The job is not completed. In the hallway we had a pocket door that was not painted and some of the other painting was not completed. He was very professional when he came for the estimate, but he did not deliver on the service end of the experience. He left to do another job in the middle of the work he was doing for us. We had to point out every little mistake. They do not review their work to make sure everything is done well. While they were doing the work on the baseboards and crown molding they got paint on the floor that I had to clean up. There are still areas to fix, but I do not want to call him back to have him do the work.

They did an awesome job. They painted both rooms quickly, they did a neat job and they cleaned afterwards. They were very nice and professional.

They worked very quick and did not spill anything. They did not have any mistakes. They were very courtesy.
