We had to send the computer in to the company. We had two laptop repairs. One was my daughter's computer and that was a couple of years ago. The technician came to the house and he was excellent. He had effective communication, was punctual, efficient. He was very helpful in stating what the problem was, was needed to be done in the repair and how to stop further injury to the machine in the future. The second time, about six months ago, was almost the opposite. The gentleman was punctual and did have direct communication but the machine was not repaired properly. When I asked and my husband asked questions it seemed like he was evasive and didn't answer the questions that were asked and seemed like he was reading from a sheet. He just wasn't helpful. The laptop was not repaired correctly and I believe he further injured the machine and it hasn't worked properly since. My daughter actually did repair it and got what needed to be done more than the company. I don't believe there was a cost because it was still under warranty. There was another time when my son's computer was "lost in the mail". They told us we sent it to the wrong place. They sent it to the place where we were vacationing and not to our home. So it was completely lost. We have three Dell computers. Two laptops and one home computer. The tabletop computer is fine and my husband's laptop is fine and my daughter's laptop has been repaired twice. They were effectively repaired but the experience wasn't the same. My son is out of luck.

When the computer was stolen, I had Lojack insurance and was assured by them that the computer be returned. Dell kept calling me to make payments and I informed them that the computer was stolen. Ultimately the Dell turned me over to a collection agency and I paid the final bill off. After the final bill was paid off, my credit reflected this but states paid off but not in full. This has caused me many problems when trying to apply for refinancing for my home etc and Dell is not willing to work with me to resolve the issue.

I have purchased internet software from them. They are kind of pricey. My experience has been that they cannot always resolve my software problems. The prices are competitive, but I still feel they are a little pricey.

I have nothing good to say about them. When you have a problem and call, you get switched to different phone lines until you end up talking to an Indian person. There is a barrier between us because we don’t understand each other’s culture or language so it is almost impossible to communicate with them. Once you have the computer they don’t care about you anymore.

I am overall satisfied with the computer. I had a problem with the delivery, but that was not Dell’s fault. So far, the computer has caused me no problems and I am happy with Dell.

For software problems, Dell is quite disappointing. When you are ordering computers from them though, they are great. They are helpful and they will guide you through the entire process. My only problem with them has been since I ordered my computer. I think that their staff is not always to up on the latest software and they sometimes are unable to help you.

I personally really like Dell. I have found their customer services to be really wonderful. I like the options you are given as a customer as well. The people who I have dealt with via the phone are more than helpful and clearly knowledgeable about the policies Dell obtains. The prices are very good and the products are even better. I feel very satisfied with my Dell lap top and I would encourage more people to order products dealing directly with Dell as a result of my good experience with them.

Dell is pretty good. I used to enjoy building computers. Now that I have less time, I just buy directly from Dell when I want a whole computer set up. Dell has good prices. My only complaint is that if you just go and do an Internet search with their website, you may think you are getting the best deal with them, but you may not be. You can usually locate coupons online and sometimes at other websites. Therefore, you do have to do your homework a little prior to shopping with Dell.

Dell's sales department is okay, but they customer service department really needs to work on some things. I really have a difficult time understanding their employees who do not speak my language or who have accents. It makes it very difficult to resolve problems. I will say I found the shipping and handling to be good. I just really feel the customer service is pretty bad and needs to be improved.
