Our TV was not performing well at all. A call to KO Electronics got a quick diagnosis and quote with absolutely no delay. Josh, did the repairs for less than 1/3 the cost of purchasing a new TV. I stood in amazement watching him work and saw an artist in action. Not one wasted move on his part. I would say that I witnessed one of the most competent people at his work I ever saw. The TV was repaired with the work guaranteed for 3 months. I would definitely call KO Electronics for any other repairs that I would need for any electronic device that I have. I was a pleasure doing business with this company.

Terribly. I accidentally left the remote on the counter when I dropped off the tv. I called to alert them and got scolded 3 times for my mistake. The man even said “how do I know this is your remote?”. He was extremely rude. The tech called me to say the problem was my power cord and it would be $200. I balked at that and he changed the price to $125. I ordered a new cord from Samsung for a little under $10. I feel they tried to cheat me. I drove further and paid more for the evaluation because of your recommendation. I would use Angie’s list again, but not KO electronics

"The problem with the TV was the power supply, not the power cord. The Samsung power supply part BN44-00837A is $63.95 plus $10.00 shipping. We reduced the labor cost due to the replacement cost of the TV to $50.00. Our counter usually has several shop remotes on it so it is difficult to tell if someone accidentally leaves theirs. I am sorry if I sounded rude."

Great work. Estimate took a day longer than originally stated. Otherwise very satisfied with the work. Reasonably priced for this part/labor, but still painful ;-)

The tech, JD went over everything on the TV. It was determined that the part of our main board that allows connection through HDMI was no longer working. I was quoted on the replacement of the board. For the short term I have hooked up the TV using component cables. I will make the decision if I want to replace the main board or buy another TV. I found JD to be very professional and extremely knowledgeable. It was the 1st time I had ever used K-O. I will certainly use them again. Thanks K-O and thanks Angie's List!

I have used K-O Electronics a few times for repairs of both audio and video equipment, so I contacted them about the “white dot” issue with my Mitsubishi TV. The TV was 8 years old and I was debating between repairing it or purchasing a new TV. Rudi was familiar with the issue and suggested I contact Mitsubishi, as they had a program which would help the cost of the repair. I did this and the chip was provided at no cost to me. I just had to pay for the installation. I requested K-O based on the help and Mitsubishi delivered the chip to them. Once K-O received the chip, they called to schedule a repair. Unfortunately due to the busy holiday season, they could only do the work on a Saturday (which their shop is closed on Saturdays, so appreciated working me in, although I was hoping to get the repair done sooner). Josh was the technician who installed the chip. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was running a little late for the appointment and called to let me know. Josh did a great job. He cleaned the lens as well and checked everything out to make sure both he and I were satisfied with the results. The TV looks brand new again. Great job and I would not hesitate to use them again.

I was very pleased with my ability to get an appointment for a service call to my home. Technician arrived within the window I was given for the arrival at my home.  He listened to what I told him about the problem and then proceded to accurately diagnose this issue.  I appreciate his expertise and knowledge.

The tech, Josh, arrived at our home just before the scheduled time. He was very courteous, professional and friendly. He was able to verify our problem with the TV, disconnected it and took it to the shop.
Seeing that we had no other TV, Josh went to great lengths to connect our DVR to our nearby computer monitor and to our Bose soundbar. He patiently showed us how to switch the computer monitor back-and-forth between the computer and the TV. This service is way and above what he was required to do.
Unfortunately, through no fault of K-O Electronics, the faulty part was no longer available and I had to take back the TV and am going through the warranty replacement process with Philips.

Quick turn around, just a couple of days. Very professional people, congenial, nice to deal with. They acknowledge you as soon as you walk in the door. They are great on the phone, they don't rush you, they really listen. They explain exactly what needed to be done to the equipment and the cost. They give the impression of being very trustworthy, and they are.

On Tuesday, May 3rd, 2009, our 2 year old 40" Samsung LCD television lost it's picture. It was under warranty with Fry's Electronics and we called to report the problem the next day. Fry's informed us that it contracts its repair work out to local electronics repair shops and that we should be getting a call from the selected shop within a day or two. When the following Monday rolled around and we still had not been contacted, we called Fry's to inquire. They informed us that the repair had been assigned to K-O Electronics the day after we reported the issue and that we should have been contacted. So, we took it upon ourselves to look them up and call to arrange for a time for them to come to our home to repair the tv. However, when they arrived it was clear that they had no intention of doing a repair in the house and took our television back to their repair shop. After 10 days in the shop, WE, once again had to call THEM to inquire about the repairs and they informed us that they had repaired the tv and scheduled a time to return it. However, when the delivery man brought the tv in and turned it on, it had no picture AND no sound (the original problem was just lack of video, audio was unaffected). So, he took it back. Another week passed, and we called to inquire again. They said it was repaired again and the delivery man returned it. On the first day, the tv worked. It was out again when we attempted to turn it on the next morning. So, last week, they came and got the tv AGAIN. I called to inquire about it this morning and they said it was working and they were testing it today, but they couldn't deliver it until NEXT WEEK. He told me that I could come and pick it up tomorrow, but when I pressed him about this, inquiring about what time I could come by, he waffled and said that we could only pick it up if it had been repaired (30 seconds earlier, he told me it was working). It has been over 30 days since we had a television, and now that they've opened it up and poked around in it so many times, who knows if the tv will ever be the same. They obviously don't know what they're doing. I've expressed my disappointment and issued a formal complaint with Fry's.
