The items he did at the house were good. I had some artwork that needed to be framed. He said it would be easier to do at his house. I asked how much and he would not give me a price. He just kept saying it is what it is. I said once you get started and have a better idea how long the project will take let me know. A week later he comes back with a $300 bill!!! The work was crap. I have since thrown the junk out. I DO NOT recommend him. And on top of it he KEEPS emailing me. I have asked MULTIPLE times to be removed from his mailing list. As the other reviews state - HE TALKS and TALKS and TALKS. Basic stuff is fine but he thinks he can do far more than he knows how to do and does not listen. Find someone else.

"Thank you for your review of me, Ms. K o l s t a d. Looking back, I remember you being rather pleased with all the different tasked you asked me to do for you. You never lead on that anything was wrong, so I did what I always do; I just keep on performing the task(s) requested by YOU, my customer. Tasks involving Artwork; I do a lot of this here at Rent-a-Gent. I am asked to do it because most people have no idea as to how to deal with it properly, especially when it comes to matting, cutting, mounting, and suspending. You're an Artsy person, Ms. K o l s t a d. You knew what it would take to complete "that" job correctly, and you hired me to do it. I did and you were please, just like numerous other clients that have hired me to do THAT kind of work for them. I am sorry to learn that now, over a year later, you are displeased with what at the time was very satisfied with. Had, at the time, you indicated your dislike of my work, I would have offered you the "Rent-a-Gent Guarantee", that being: "If you, my client, are not totally satisfied with the work I've done for you, you will not be charged for labor costs associated to the job". It is on the back of every business card I hand to my clients as they open their front doors and invite me in to help them with tasks that they just can't do by themselves. This is the fifth time we have used Mr. Scooter and he was great as always. He's punctual, organized, a jack of all trades, and very clear up front as to what he can accomplish during his time with you. And he's a pretty darn funny character too. As far as we're concerned, he's our handyman and we simply accumulate a list of and quot;to doand quot; items until we have a day's worth of tasks and then contact him to schedule his visit.

The dishwasher seems to be working okay but there seems to be underneath the sink, it was wet. It could be leaking. I don't really want to call him again because he might charge me for the service. He had to cancel one appointment. He sounded really good and all that but at the end, I'm having problems with the result.

He showed up the time he said he would be here. He cleaned up when he left.

He showed up at 10:00 A.M. as he said he would. Was very professenable and curtious.He cleaned up
when he was finished. He did an excelent job. I will have him out again to do more repairs.

He arrived promptly. We discussed what needed to be done and how to approach this very daunting task. I had final say on what to keep and what to toss. We worked for approximately 9 hours and got 3/4 of the way through the cleanup when we called it a day. The purpose of the job was to clear out the front 5 feet of garage so that a new garage door could be installed. All but the back quarter got cleared.
Mr. Scooter was very efficient. He swept up as he went. I will call him again to assist with other tasks about the house and yard.

I hate to say it because he seems like a nice guy, but my experience was a total train-wreck. The crown molding was installed in 3-4' strips, and was seamed very poorly. I told him the brand of Behr paint to purchase for the crown molding and he got a knock off from Lowe's and the paint didn't match the existing trim paint in the room. He cleaned my garage (not on the list of jobs) and I ended up having to pay him for the time spent doing it; he gouged the new hardwood floor in master bedroom while he was 'installing' the crown molding. He was supposed to have installed recessed lighting in the master bathroom and then said he couldn't because it was too hot for him to go into the attic. I ended up having to pay someone to tear out the crown molding he had put in the master bedroom, re-install it properly, and paint it the right color. I had given him the scope of work prior to his coming to my home. He didn't tell me that he didn't know how to do crown molding or that it would be too hot to get the recessed lighting installed. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in the workmanship as well the damage done to my new hardwood floors. It ended up being very expensive, between paying him and then paying someone to repair what he'd done.

He was on time and did a very good job. He came in with the tools and ladder to do the ceiling fans, then took that all out to his truck and brought in the tools to do the bathroom and sink. He never made a mess, and was very pleasant! He is a very interesting man!
