BUYER BEWARE! Jason is a pleasant person who seems professional, but the quality of the work provided and the integrity of his service was a horrible disappointment. Here are 5 major things (not everything) that happened when I hired him as a general contractor for my hail damage claim 1) In spite of a storm warning, Jason Day's (owner) roofers insisted on trying to get the roof done; the storm blew in quickly and rain poured into my house with the roof uncovered. Afterward, the job was finished quickly. Now, Jason Day (JEDI Services) is refusing to stand behind his 10-year workmanship warranty. Two roofers have gone on my roof, taken pictures, written evaluations detailing improper installation (by the crew Jason hired while under contract with me for a total roof replacement); yet, Jason Day (JEDI Services, Inc.) refuses to uphold his warranty even though he collected $11.5K for the roof. 2) When Jason Day (JEDI Services) sent subcontractors to my house to replace the shed, they began constructing a new shed that was larger than the old one. The error was on the contractor/subcontractor end—that’s what they purchased and that’s what they started putting together. When they caught their mistake and called Jason, he tried to get me to pay for the difference because the new one was larger! 3) Jason Day (JEDI Services) billed my insurance company with a statement of completion two months after he began work (and did not tell me—I found out from them; they sent me a copy as evidence). The work was NOWHERE close to being completed. The start date was the first week of June and the estimated completion was the first week of July. As of the first week of December, I was still waiting on some of the smaller pieces to be finished. 4) Jason would not come to the house to inspect the work his subcontractors were doing (roof, paint, fence, shed, gutters, trim, a/c); he insisted that he trusted their work. Multiple times I had to call him back to point out things that were unfinished or done improperly. 5) Jason Day (JEDI Services) often failed to return phone calls or emails related to concerns about delays, requests for documents, no-shows or questions. (Lately, this is still the case.) Only after we had a signed contract and he was not delivering as promised, did he mention an on-going, debilitating health condition (that kept him from working for weeks at a time due to multiple hospitalizations). On two occasions, he did, however, IMMEDIATELY return a text when I said I was at the bank with a check.
