We visited the store 3 times, 1st because the sales rep was not going to be there till 2pm the next day,2nd to order our doors, and 3rd to make sure he had the order right. We purchased the doors with a Lowe's credit card on Sept 23rd 2014. The bill came in Oct, 2014 & we paid it in full, even tho the doors had not been delivered yet. On Oct 21, the garage and one patio door were partially installed, but the French Doors were the wrong ones, which the installer pointed out from his previous measurements. Since the crew had already carried off our old doors, we were stuck with it. The installer nailed a "header Board" to the upper inside of the doors. The French Doors had not been hung yet, so the locks would not lock. They had cut the wires to our ADT System, so we had no security in our home. Not once did Wes (our Rep) call to see how the job went, neither did Ryan, his supervisor. I called multiple times in October, each time Wes said he would check on it and call us back. Never called. In Nov, I received a Robo call from Lowe's saying, "your order is in". I called Wes & he said the contract installer would contact me when they were ready to install. Later that week, a Lowe's truck pulled up and they removed our new doors & put them on the patio. After a phone call to the store, they discovered the installer would not be available, so they put the doors on their truck -- back to their store. I called Wes, & he transferred me to Juan in the Install Sales Dept. He said the doors were there. When the contract installer went to pick them up, he called me to say that "none of the packaging was damaged, but one door had a big gash in it:" I called Wes, our Rep to see if he could order a less expensive wood door. We had company coming for Christmas, we couldn't use the door, it was leaking heat since it had not been hung, & we could not lock it for security. Wes said he'd look into another kind of door & call me back. Never called. Days later, I called Wes & he said if he found a wooden French door, it would be just as expensive as these metal Pella doors. I knew he was fibbing to me all along. Felt foolish & angry. Wes said the best he could do was reorder the 3rd door, but it would not be in until the end of the year. I said we had family flying in for Christmas, but that made no difference. I told him the doors had no insulation, our heat was going out the door & our gas bill had doubled. The doors looked horrible with half of their packaging on them & we had no security. Our son came over with a bicycle tie-down & put them on the door knobs so someone couldn't break in at night. At the end of Dec, I called our Rep & was transferred to Install Sales Dept. Juan in that dept said he called the vendor, Pella, & our doors were scheduled to be delivered on Jan 9th. On Jan 19th, I called ,Aaron in Install Sales who said a new installer A+ would be at our home to recheck the doors' measurements. On Feb 2, 2015 Steve & crew from A+ finally installed, insulated, mortared/cemented & lentilled the French doors and rehung & balanced the other two doors which we had purchased. He had a list on his e-pad of all he had done & I asked him for a copy. He said that when he turns in his report, Lowe's would send a copy along with our warranties for the doors. Pella doors are an asset to your home & would increase the value at resale. Of course, Lowe's never followed through with the warranty, or gave me a" I'm sorry you were cold & unprotected for three winter months." In Feb, I called to tell the store manager about how badly we were treated & fibbed to by Reps. A young man answered the phone & all he had to say was, "Sorry, I'll bring it up at the next meeting".!!!!!!! In the future, I wouldn't even buy a GARBAGE bag at Lowe's
Description of Work: Replaced 3 doors: one inside garage door, one patio door with blinds inside and one set of French doors.

The installer came out to the house to measure the existing opening to determine the correct model of attic stair to install. Once the estimate was completed we went back to Lowe's to pay for the ladder and installation in advance. On the scheduled installation date, the installer came out and was right on time. They removed the existing attic stair, and installed the new one pretty quickly. This is where things go downhill. They opened the new ladder to function check it and the ladder didn't have clearance to unfold. The installer said they must have missed that measurement (by about 10"). They removed the new ladder and told us they would have to work with Lowe's to order the correct ladder for our situation. They did offer to put the old one back in at that time, but thinking I would be saving them some time later I authorized the contractor to put a sheet of plastic over the attic opening. The piece of plastic they put in place was very thin and had holes in it. Additionally the tape they used didn't hold. So every time my A/C kicked in air was blowing up into my attic. The contractor left pending the order of a new attic ladder. So at this point, both the contractor and the Lowe's millwork people stop contacting me I have to make all the phone calls to try to get anything done. The contractor was out of town for an extended weekend. I get that. I would have expected a phone call back from him FIRST thing Monday after his return. When I did finally get to talk to him, he referred me back to Lowe's. I go back to Lowe's to talk to someone face to face to find out what is happening. They are very apologetic, which I appreciate, and we start looking for an alternative attic ladder that will fit my situation. Following over a week of back and forth between dealing with Lowe's and their contractor, I get a call telling me there is no attic ladder to fit my situation and that I need to come back to Lowe's for a refund. I go back to Lowe's and they are kind enough to give me my money back, and said they would arrange with the contractor to have my original attic stair put back in place of the gaping hole where it used to be installed. I call back to Lowe's a couple of days later to find out when the contractor will be coming out to re-install the original ladder. The response is, "Thanks for reminding me. I need to follow up with the millwork manager about it." Lowe's then calls me back to tell me that the original ladder would not be installed by Lowe's through their contractor due to liability issues. So, my response was, "So you're telling me that Lowe's is going to leave a gaping hole in my ceiling and that is acceptable?" The answer was yes. Don't get me wrong, I love shopping at Lowe's. But, I will be EXTREMELY reluctant to use their contracting services ever again.
Description of Work: We worked with the millwork section to have a Lowe's contractor install a new attic ladder.

It is very close down the street to me. You get a 10% discount if you are a veteran. So every time I go there I carry my certificate and they give me 10% off. When I went to buy the dishwasher, the guy asked me to come the next day as they were having a 10% off the next day. So the next day I got a total of 20% discount. I bought the installation from them and I have been very pleased with that too. The person who came to install the water heater told me that I needed a 220 plug in. He was very good and he took me back to Lowes and exchanged the water heater that didn’t need a plug in. It was strange that the sales people didn’t seem to that much knowledgeable about the product and said that all the water heaters needed plug in. They showed up when they said and they followed up with a call to make sure that everything was okay.
Description of Work: I bought a water heater and dishwasher from Lowe’s. They installed the dishwasher last week.
