First he came out to give me an estimate. He spent about 30 minutes looking through my garage, up in the attic and outside to determine the best way to install the system. He explained the different ways it could be done, the advantages/disadvantages and approximate costs for each. Then he made his recommendation, which was the least expensive option. I waited to have another plumber give me a bid (I contacted three, but only two responded to my request) before making a decision, and the other plumber made that easy. He spent only a few minutes looking around the garage, and his lowest priced option was a couple of hundred dollars higher than Katy Plumbing's bid, and it was a less attractive option in terms of drainage, etc., and the higher bid was about $400 more, so I went with Katy Plumbing. I did give a "C" for punctuality, but I do need to explain that he was late due to circumstances beyond his control. He installed the system in the amount of time he said it would take (actually slightly less), and my system has been working wonderfully since. I would recommend them.

They were in and out, everything done, in less than 1 hour. I signed up for a maintenance plan, very cheap, that will give me discounts on future service and they will inspect all my pipes and drains for upcoming or future issues so they can be caught before they turn into bigger issues. Very happy. They even gave me a referral for a new a/c company. I will definitely use them again :):):)

They charged us $150 because it was emergency hours but then they didn’t charge us for the actual part that they used. We’re pleased with them 24 hours a day.

This was an inspection visit. They did perform minor service to the upstairs toilets which were failing to fill properly. It was a minor, guick repair with proper functioning returned. Suggestions as to the proper care of the water softener machine were helpful. This company has always responded promptly on any service call and their work has always been satisfactory. I would recommend them to anyone who wants prompt, professional service.

A real person answered the business phone. The technician, Daniel, arrived within an hour of my service request. Both the dispatcher and service technician displayed professionalism and customer service skills that are becoming increasingly hard to find. I was especially impressed by the way the technician, while doing a dirty job, kept the area very neat and clean. I chose to have the technician replace the disposal also, even though it was not the current problem, primarily due to knowing that it would need to be done soon and being very impressed watching how the technician did his job.

We had old galvanized piping from when the house was built in the 70s that were starting to corrode and cause water pressure issues. Katy Plumbing came in lower than the other bids we used and were able to start a couple days after the initial quote. They finished in 2 days and even connected the unfinished work to the old lines after day 1 so that we wouldn't go an evening without water. Kurt was very professional and I will definitely use them again.

It was a difficult process due the location of generator, but they did a good job removing and cleaning up after.

The very first thing was very knowledgeable. They do not do anything without informing you first. They explain why they need to do it and offer several options, so you do not destruct like your battling up to the lack of knowledge of what used to be done. Their pricing was extremely reasonable. They sell parts but that is not their job. But if you want to buy parts wherever, they will install those and they just charge the flat labor. They have a very agreeable discount and price plan. It is like service plan but they do not charge for service calls.

Responded quickly to my call. Arrived on time - gave a reasonable estimate of the costs. Worked quickly to get repairs done. Great plumber and helper team - skilled - quality work - very polite - outstanding service. Have used this company in past and will continue to do so.

Charlie completed all work in timely and efficient manner. The work perfumed was thorough and professional. All work was completed to my complete satisfaction. Charlie was professional, honest, and did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend Katy Plumbing and Charlie to anyone that has plumbing needs.

Water service supply pipe broke outside over Easter Weekend. I was out of town and water had been gushing in yard all weekend. I called at 8:30am, on the Monday after Easter, they came out, located leak, repaired broken pipe, and I was at work prior to 12:30pm. Guys were clean, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. They went the extra mile and repaired the next weak link, while they had the hole dug, to ensure that they would not have to come back when that part failed. Had I been doing the work myself, I'm not sure I would have repaired the next weak link.. I was very glad they did. Excellent work. They back-filled the hole in better shape than it was when they arrived. Not cheap. In this case you get what you pay for. A Neighbor down the street from me used same guys later that day.

everything went pretty smoothly. came out promptly. work was done efficiently. no complaints about quality of work.

Kurt did a great job of explaining the options including tankless heat options. In the end we went with 2 new 40gal units and 1 new 50gal unit. The guys had responded to our emergency call at 10am and they finished replacing all 3 units in the attic by 2-30pm with help from George who delivered the new units to the curbside. They did a great job protecting our flooring during the job, cleaning up afterwards and explaining the work they had done and the operating and warranty associated with the new units. Great job guys, first class professionals!

After attempting to contact several plumbers closer to me on a Saturday mid-afternoon, my call to Katy Plumbing was the first one that was actually answered by a person. I was told that they had no more open appointments that afternoon but they could schedule me for Monday. Once I explained the situation and that it was something of an emergency she told me that she could put me on the emergency call list but that there would be a $125 emergency call-out charge just to send the plumber and that it would probably be around 6:00 before he would be there. With no other options so far I asked her to put me on the list. At that point we discovered that I was outside of their normal service area, but she told me that, given the circumstances, if I was not able to find anyone else who could take the call she would get someone out that day. I told her I would keep calling and let her know if I found anyone else. I didn't. As promised, she called when the plumber was en route and he arrived about 6:20. After assessing the problem, he showed me their standard price sheet and explained what category my job fell under and why. With my approval, he continued with the repair and was able to complete a fairly significant project in less than two hours. He was very professional and courteous, and made sure the areas he worked in were cleaned up when he finished. Overall, although it was slightly more expensive than I had anticipated [this is the only reason for the "B" score in Price, though to be fair it was a more extensive repair than I expected], I was very pleased with the responsiveness, professionalism, and quality of work, and would definitely recommend them in the future.

I scheduled the appoinment for Friday at 8:30am and they showed up at 10:00am. They were running late due to some emergency service they were taking care off, which I understand. The only complaint that I got is that the company called me around 9:30am to let me know they were running behind schedule so there is an opportunity for improve there. Spencer and Kurt were great they were very organized and neat. I even sign up for the USA package and Kurt did an inspection of the house fixtures with me and gave me some good tips.

Had a few minor issues at one of our rental properties. They came out and made the repairs. I don't have any more leaks, and the commode is working better than before. I know who to call the next time I have a plumbing issue.

They installed a toilet for me in November. At the time neither I nor the installer noticed a defect in the toilet seat. I informed them of this and they replaced it free of charge as it was a manufacturing defect.

Mark was excellent ,very professional , knew what to do , didn't try to sell me anything else and had the job completed in under 2 hours. I would definitely use the company again.

Our regular handyman was out sick when we received a call from one of our tenants without hot water. When Katy Plumbing arrived they said their charge was $456.00. Astonished I got curious and asked what exactly he expected to do to our unit. To my utter amazement, he said: "he was replacing both heating elements in the electric hot water heater" When I asked what else? he replied ...."thats it". Apparently they do not charge a standard $50.00 or $75.00 trip fee but have a $135.00 "diagnostics" fee. In addition, their fee $291.00 for dual element had an "add on rate" attached. and yet still another fee labeled "USA PROGRAM" was added on top of the invoice for another $99.00 It was getting late in the afternoon 3:30 and our newly installed tenant was due home from work soon. I decided to speak with the owner and was amazed at his sheer unabashed audacity and attitude. He said his trucks have to carry all the parts with them and hot water heaters are usually located in the attic and that they are difficult to service. He went on to say that in addition to replacing the heating elements his technician would have to rebuild the temperature sensors and something he referred to as the "control unit" as well. Of course, they have to charge another add-on fee for emergency and after-hours service. I told him I am 70 years old with 45+ years experience in Real Estate and Construction. The electric hot water heater is one of the easiest to service appliances ever designed and this unit is located on the first floor of a utility room within 4 feet of the back door. This was during normal business hours and was not being treated as an emergency call. Their charges approached our replacement cost of the entire unit. He asked me what I had in mind and I told him the elements themselves usually run between $15.00 and $25.00 each and the typical charge, including trip fee usually runs less than $75.00. This is because, if the thermostat control unit is defective on an electric hot water heater it is best to replace the entire unit. They're that cheap. So our new tenant would not be further inconvenienced I agreed to pay a reduced price of $291.00. This is three times what we pay our handyman for the same work and this twice what I would normally expect to pay to any experienced plumber for the exact same work. I cannot use them again and strongly advise you do not do so as well, unless, of course, you enjoy "c*** n bull" stories.

All problems solved Great service

SP did an ok job. The only problem (SP) broke the toilet and replaced with an lesser quality tiolet without giving member the option. Member had $700.00 tiolets in home and (SP) replaced with $150.00 model. The member is now having to upgrade with a better quality toilet which she wants in her home. Member would use in the future but will be very clear about expectations.

From the first phone call Mandy was awesome. She was polite and courteous. Kurt and Spencer arrived on time and provided excellent service. They were friendly and extremely knowledgeable!!! The price for the service was beyond fair. Overall A++++++++ service and would highly recommend using them.

I called to set up an appointment, they were able to schedule me for the next morning. I received a call the next morning saying that they were running early and would be at my home soon. The service tech was very nice and professional. He removed the stuck cartridge and installed the replacement. The service was complete before the original appointment window. I am very happy with the service provided.
