TWO GIRLS and A BROOM

The owner’s name is Lisa Howard. This company has gone out of business and Lisa Howard is not to be trusted. Lisa Howard's Two Girl's and a Broom cleaned weekly for me starting on September 17, 2007 and the last official cleaning was May 3, 2010. The way the report is listed below it looks like she only cleaned once which is not true. Lisa told me she was out of business in May of 2010.

Out of all the calls I made from Angie's List they were the only ones that worked in my area. They have always done a good job, show up on time and usually if you use an individual cleaner and they get sick you are out of luck so I know with them I always have someone to show up.

Was quoted an early morning appt. When no one had arrived by 1 pm I called the company and got voicemail and left a message. Someone called me back and said that I was slated for 2pm - it was already after 2pm at that time. The crew of 3 arrived a 3:15pm. Since we did not know if they were still coming, the beds were already made. Overall the house looked very good when they were done but later I was suspicious of the thoroughness of the cleaning of the shower. There was a small piece of soap stuck to the tile and when I lifted a wire basket from the built in seat in the shower, the rust from the basket was still there, so either it had never even been wiped or the basket was lifted and replaced without cleaning the area. It's a constant buildup easily washes away with a damp cloth. Hardwood and tile throughout the home, but dust visible underneath the sofa, tv stand and beds. All these areas are at least 3 - 4 inches from the floor. The TV stand is on wheels!.

I had an appointment with them at 8am. They showed up at 9:15am. Lisa Howard, the owner was one of a two-girl team that came to clean my 1200 square foot house. She told me on the phone that she charged $75/hour and for the size of my house, it would take the two of them approximately 2 hours to clean it. I had already taken an hour and a half off from work, so I couldn't stay 'til they were done. When I returned after work there were several areas that hadn't been cleaned. Several window sills were not cleaned. Two ceiling fans were not clean. I was told (and it lists it this one of their services on their website) they would vacuum the upholstered furniture and that wasn't done. Overall, Lisa charged me $225 for 3 hours of work. I don't think it would take me 3 hours to paint my little 1200 sq. ft. house! When I told her about the things that weren't cleaned, she discounted the price to $200, which I feel is still too high. She quoted me a $90/week, $95/every other wk.

The team was extremely punctual. They asked clarifying questions as we "toured" the house, and followed all requests I made of them. The ladies were all personable and pleasant. They spent just under four hours for this cleaning at a $75/hr rate. "Regular" service scheduled after this would be at a "flat" rate.

I was very pleased with the work and the responsiveness of the company. They were friendly to my nanny and child, they worked very hard and long, and they were very thorough. My house smelled fresh, but not like hard-core housecleaning products. It's not the cheapest service, but it is reliable, safe, and in my mind, certainly worth the added expense.

We have had this company clean our house for several weeks now. They do a thorough top to bottom clean, dust, vacuum & mop of every room. They use natural organic products so we do not get a strong chemical smell. Lisa and her team are here within 20 minutes of the agreed time and are all pleasant and very professional about their cleaning.

The first time after they cleaned, there were some areas that they overlooked. I called their office and they responded promptly by coming back the next day to touch up those areas. They aim to please.
