Sheila came to provide me an estimate to do a deep cleaning my 2100 sq ft home that I just moved into, and quoted me a price of $325 for a full floor-to-ceiling deep cleaning, including windows. This seemed steep to me, but because we needed a very deep cleaning of the house, I was willing to pay whatever it would take to get the work done right.
Sheila and her cousin arrived at my house around 6pm, even though we had originally scheduled the appointment for 4pm. I had doubts that she would be able to do the work necessary in the evening when it's hard to see the dirt, and also with just her and one other person, but I was willing to give her a chance.
I left the house at around 7 and she said she'd be done around 8:30 or 9 (which also seemed strange to me since that's an awfully short amount of time to deep clean a house).
When I returned to inspect the work, I was horrified. It was as though the house hadn't been cleaned at all.
* The floors had loose dirt on them and appeared to not have been cleaned at all
* Stove display panel greasy
* Nightstand not dusted
* Window frames still dirty
* Glass on tables streaked and dirty
* Guest room not done at all; ceiling fan is filthy
* Master bath lamps covered in dust
* Kitchen window sills still dirty
* Light globes on master fan are filthy
* The windows still had fingerprints all over them
* Obvious spots all over the walls that were supposed to be cleaned
* Baseboards not cleaned
When I pointed out each issue to her, she would yell at her cousin and blame him for the problem, and yell for him to bring the bucket so she could do it again while I watched. The appointment was so late in the day that it was almost 10pm and I needed her to just leave at this point.
I offered to just give her $200 (instead of the $325 I was quoted) just to get her to leave, but she wouldn't leave without $250. I honestly should have paid her nothing at all because the house needs to be entirely redone, but didn't know what to do and was left with no option. I tried to stop payment on the check but she had already cashed it by the next morning.
She insisted that I could have my father, who also lives in the house, call her to have her come fix the poor work (I won't be back in town for awhile), but he tried to call her multiple times and her mailbox is full and she doesn't answer the phone.
I urge you to avoid this provider at all costs. I'm still trying to determine how I'm going to get my money back. My only recourse at this point may be to take her to small claims court to recoup the money, since she refuses to answer the phone.
"When I came to your resident to give you a quote. I explained to you that this quote do not include the wall washing or baseboards, only windows (interior only). If you was not happy with my price, I wish you would have told me. When we made the appointment, I stated to you that I will be at your house between 4:00pm & 5:00pm, you stated ok. I arrived at 5:00pm. I climbed on my ladder and cleaned every ceiling fan. The bathrooms were all stained I got most of the rust out of the tub and floor. I told you that I did not touch some of the light globes, because the globes were loose and I did not want to break it. I cleaned the stove inside and out. I dust every piece of furniture in the house. Washed every window in the house. You stated that because you saw spots on the floor, you will only give me $200.00 dollars. I had been there at your house from 5:00pm til 10:00pm (with 2 people this is 10 hours) I told you because you are unhappy about the floors, I will only charge you $250.00, and when your dad call me, I will come back to reclean the tile floors, then I will get the remaining, which will be $75.00 and you agreed to this. When I gave you a tour we looked at everything together room by room, we did not see any of this what you are saying, in fact you was so amaze at how I scrubbed the wood cabinets in the kitchen and got all the grease off. Even when you said this door have a spot on it or this wall need washing, I cleaned it for you. I do not understand why you are saying that I yelled at my cousin, Spotless Cleaning Biz goal is to always stay professional. When something is wrong with our cleaning it is my problem also. We fix the problem, we do not blame each other. The only item you had complaints about was the tile floors. I told you that I would come back and redo the floors myself. I do regret that you feel all of our hard work was not worth anything. I only deposit checks in the bank on Fridays. I made sure that you had my business telephone number and my personal cell telephone number. I have not had a call as of Wednesday (2/18/2015)."

"This was a move in, I gave her a move/in price, with a discount. We set the date to clean and she was not there, during the 30 minutes I waited on her, I called her and left her a voice message. She called me two hours later. I went back the next day to clean (did not charge her a trip charge for her not being there). I explained to her that I would only dust her vents with this price, she stated ok. When I gave her a tour, I told her if there is anything miss, please tell me. She was looking at things that she told me not to touch, but I had touched them anyway, which was good. We did miss a vent, so I took the vent down myself and cleaned it. She wanted me to vacuum behind the refrigerator and I did (not in the package). I even wipe the front door down for her, because she said the door was dirty (not in the package). This is the why, I always like to give my customers a tour when I finish the work. Please remember at the initial quote, if my price does not fit your budget, just let me know. I do want to say, Thanks for your review."
I have had bad experiences with several cleaning companies. I called Spotless Cleaning Biz, Sheila responded to my call within 10 minutes. She came into my house and cleaned it good. She brought her ladder, and touch high spots. Everything she saw she cleaned, the furniture that she could move were moved. When she finished cleaning, she offered to give me a tour. Sheila explained to me what she had cleaned. She also stated , if there is anything I do not like about the cleaning to tell her, she can fix it. I now uses her every week.

"The coupon you purchase was only for 6 hour, with 2 people we only stay 3 hours. I explained to you that your house was 1200 sq. ft over the limit and there would be an additional charge for the whole house. I ask you what did you want me to focus on? You stated - mainly the dusting, vacuuming, moping, & cleaning all four restrooms, and that your son restroom was the worst. Your son toilet and tub was terribly stained and rusted I told you that I would do my very best and that I did. I was in your son restroom for one hour and the master bathroom for one hour and thirty minutes, there was a lot of thick scum and stains in the shower, but I wanted to stay until it was clean . My employee and I dusted all ceiling fans and every piece of furniture in your house twice, because the dust was very thick, I even stood in your bed after asking you, could I, in order to dust the top of the head board. Remember, this was a regular cleaning even thou I did a deep cleaning in your house, because you were my customer for that day. Pulling up the sofa cushions is not part of the coupon, I do vacuum the top of my customers sofas, out of courtesy. I wish you would have called me, I would have gladly came back and did whatever I needed to do, just to make you feel that you did get your money’s worth. I take pride In the work that I do."

"When I first saw this thick grease I told you that I will try to get this off, but I do not know how much I can get off, because it was so much grease. When I finished your house, I took you on a tour. I showed you that I did get most of the thick grease off of the wood vent and surrounding cabinets. I suggested to you that I could put a product on there and let it sit overnight, you stated that's ok. If you were unhappy, I wish you would have told me. This service was in April, but if you want me to come back now and put a product on the wood vent and surrounding cabinets, I will gladly to do this."
