LIGHTING INC

Have ordered door hardware 3x from Lighting Inc. Plumbing and Hardware. The first experience was not good in that the rep who helped me was rude and unfriendly. My order was not placed correctly, and I had to constantly follow up to make sure it would be corrected. Items were back ordered when I was told they would be in on time and it was a huge hassle to get my order completed. After my insistence, the manager stepped in and we were able to sort it out. A few months later, I went back and placed another order (the store is convenient to my house and i like a particular line of hardware they carry) with a sales rep, to whom I explained my problems from the previous order. While I would not call him friendly, he was professional and was able to place my order with out any problems and the items arrived on time. I went back a 3rd time to place a large order. The sales person never got up from his desk to help me but rather sat at his desk and chose to speak to me across the room. Any questions I had were answered in a tone that was to suggesting that my questions were stupid and he was incredibly rude. I figured out on my own what I needed and went ahead and placed my order against my better judgement. Needless to say, the order did not arrive on time and when I called to inquire, the sales rep told me the items were back ordered. I asked if he could please see if anything could be done as this would require me to pay a contractor to come to my house two times instead of the already scheduled time. He was ride but said he would call. That was 2 days ago and I still have not heard back. This is the first online review I have ever written but it should be known that this place has absolutely no respect or appreciation for its customers or their orders.

A sales rep in the hardware department supposedly special-ordered a deadbolt for me in late April. I purchased items from Danny for a custom home builder for whom I once worked going as far back as the late 1990s. I spoke to Danny twice on phone, checking to see if lock had arrived as contractor was waiting to finish install. Then I happened to call when Danny was at lunch; the staffer who took my call told me that Lighting Inc had no record of me or my order. He had Danny call me. Danny claimed that lock had arrived but had been sent back due to error. He claimed to have spoken to the manufacturer and said lock would arrive the next week. Fast forward two weeks. I happen to be at a stone yard around the corner and so I stop by to check on lock. It was Danny's day off. Guess what: Still no record of me or my now 11-week-old special order. Danny lied to me on multiple occasions! I felt sorry for other staff who kept apoligizing, especially since the problem of orders not being placed appears to be a regular occurence. Lighting Inc. carries few items exclusively...go somewhere else if you actually want ehat you order. DON'T TRUST THIS MAN WITH YOUR BUSINESS!!
