+ 3 moreMr. Jose LLanos has been serving the Houston area for 15 years as a general contractor. I am so pleased with his work and the finest detailing of the bathroom. He was quick to respond to my call and was in my house the following day to estimate the costs Mr. Llanos is very helpful in making suggestions and ideas to innovate and renovate my bathroom. He even assisted me in choosing the tiles for the wall and floor. I was extremely satisfied with the bathroom, that I decided to renovate the master's bathroom and make it contemporary. I highly recommend Mr. LLanos to anyone who has trust issues, I have been fooled by a lot of other contractor's being a female and who lives alone. I did not trust anyone in my house. Mr. Jose Llanos has proven himself, trustworthy that I was able to work while he was working in my house. Definitely an A for me.
Description of Work: Fixed the plumbing, able to identify where the leak was coming from, changed the sheet rock, painted the ceiling and I have a brand new looking ceiling. Remodeled my bathroom, where the leak was coming from, replaced the counter top, tub, built a new wall for the bathroom with mosaic tile and built in shampoo shelf. Replaced a brand new tub and new fixtures for the shower. Built a Mosaic back splash on the wall by the sink. Installed ceramic tile flooring as well. Completely brand new bathroom.

+ -1 moreI would not recommend them. My experience with them was not good. There was a guy named Jesse and the other one was Renato Alcid, who was supposedly did the contract but does not know how to do anything, The other guy was supposedly doing everything and Renato was either not there or looking to the other guy and telling him to do it. That made me nervous. The thing is they said it is going to take two days, maybe three at the most. They took about two weeks to do it. It was lunch time and I invited the man, it was fine and they ate but at the same time Renato would go off and go have his coffee and leave the other guy and then they would be bickering over money like if I give them a cheque, it was like they both had to go at the same time to the bank. One time Renato was going to Seattle and he left at about one and the other guy left too and I asked them if they were both going to Seattle. He said no but I gave them a cheque so they both left. I do not like the bickering. I do not like that one was so inexperienced and the thing is I got them because they were in my newsletter that comes from the homeowners. They seemed nice as far as that goes, there was no problem there but it is not fair for someone to do all the work and the other one not to do. I had another bid which was lower but I got them because he was in the neighborhood so I said he should be okay. I would not use them again.

Description of Work: My neighbor referred me to Jose Llanos, owner of JC Home Remodeling, after hurricane Ike hit Houston back in Sept. 2008. I was in need of home repair services from the hurricane damage. Being a single working parent with two children I was very concerned having contractors in my home. Jose's knowledge and experience in the home repair business along with his professionalism earned him my business. In early 2009 I contracted JC home remodeling to install a new fence. 220 linear feet. using cedar pickets. A customized gate was built and installed also. Next was a total bathroom remodel. Jose offered advise and suggested a bath tub/ shower conversion. He provided pics of his company's previous work and customer references. Walls and tub were removed. Drain was moved to center 18 inches from wall. A jackhammer was used to break the foundation. He replaced the shower valve and extended the pipes from the shower head. He laid a commercial liner and new concrete shower pan 4 in. high. Installed new walls using wonderboard and waterproof protection. Built a shampoo shelve within wall. Installed ceramic tile shower floor. Tiled walls to ceiling and built 6 inch step in. Installed new vanity water lines & water valve. Painted, floated, textured walls, and painted baseboards. Installed ceramic tile on bathroom floor. Looks beautiful! I was so happy with the work JC Home Remodeling provided me that I hired them again this year 3/2010. This time I had them do a complete remodel to my other bathroom. The results are amazing! They also painted and installed wood laminate flooring in 3 bedrooms. Painted living room, hallway, and entryway. They removed old wallpaper, floated and retextured wall in entryway prior to painting. Looks beautiful. Next was the kitchen. Cabinets were replaced. Travertine countertops were installed along with a new kitchen sick. I am so happy with the results and with the service provided by Jose Llanos and JC Home Remodeling. I would highly recommend this contractor to anyone who is looking for a company they can trust,(when they are not home) to get the job done. Jose has over 20 years in the business and it shows in his work and in his ability to suggest ideas. I confidently recommmend JC Home Remodeling to anyone considering a home remodeling project. Can't wait to hire them next to build a patio and install a patio cover. Nancy SM
