Done Right ! Remodeling

Charlie is a craftsman of the old school. He does top-notch, professional work at reasonable rates. He repaired my fence on two separate occasions and did a really great job. I would definitely hire him again for other projects that I need him for.

The initial discussion went very well. Charles came out and walked through all of my requests. After meeting the first time I did not hear back. I called and left a message as well as sent both an email and a message through Angie's list asking for the estimate. Charles responded letting me know that he was having trouble locating some product and asked if I wanted an estimate for the remainder of the work. I responded yes, I would like to get an estimate on the work he could perform and never heard back again. I was able to get someone else in and they have completed most of the work I request in a couple of days.

They work on the job, don’t fool around, and are very conscientious.

You've got to know exactly what you want AND have what you need to get those things done -- they won't tell you what you need or get it for you in advance.

APPARENTLY - IT IS TOO HARD TO COMPLETE THE REVIEWS - NO WONDER THERE IS NOT A SIMILAR REVIEW FOR THEM. THEY DO NOT ALL MAKE IT TO THE WEBSITE.

Charlie and Miquel do great work. I completely trust them and felt comfortable leaving them alone in the house. They performed all of the work above and more. Charlie is really laid back and there were no "emergencies" or "freak outs" with his work. I could just tell Charlie what I wanted and not worry. He always seemed to do what I wanted with his extra touches. I'm the daughter of a contractor so I know what the job takes...and I am so glad I had Charlie to do the work. I would call him again in a minute to help me out.

Basically what I had was basic punch list so it wasn't very difficult. They were very nice, prompt, timely, went to the store and got the filters that I needed to replace in my home. I had to redo part of the curtain that he had hung, one side didn't match the other but other than that, I really don't have any complaints. I probably would not use them for anything other than what I had them for which was really basic punch list.

grout was not done well at all, it was sloppy and really wide, had to tell him it was unaaceptable work. two guys, one wacthes the others, they both go get parts (really??) not again sorry

It went beautifully. I would definitely use him again.

Charlie Reiner is not only thoroughly professional but he and his helper Manuel were very careful. Painting was done without any sense of hurry, but obvious concern to get it right. I unhesitatingly recommend Done Right.

It went pretty well. The end result was good as far as the lights themselves. The area around the switch plate though had some damage to the sheetrock that the plate doesn't cover so I guess I'll have to get someone to repair that. Nothing was mentioned about this and I didn't see it until they were gone. Also they drilled about 5 different places in the plate in the attic before they found the right area to drop the electric cable. I guess that's ok though.

It went well. He came and got the jobs done in a hurry, and efficiently. I called one other time and didn't hear back, but he did eventually call me. Not unhappy, at all.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out fine. It was very hard to schedule.

I was not able to be there mainly because it was so hard to get them to come out. I was happy when they agreed to doing the work. I removed the old fascia. They thought that it would be possible to do a good job by installing the 8-inch wide boards. That was not true. They spent four hours and two men try to do the work. They left gaps, poor joints and a unique installation. I will replace their work as time allows. My friends looked at it and one person said the term, "smash and grab" comes to mind. Another friend said the ends should be boxed and the wider board will warp over time. There was no overlap at the joints.

I expected to be contacted once I purchased the handyman services. I had to initial all contact. Did not show up on time. I have no complaints about the work done, I just expected more professionalism.

Did a GREAT job on work completed (with only one exception -- few tub tiles caulked instead of regrouted) Showed up almost an hour late (traffic) but didn't call to let me know he was stuck in traffic -- did give me the 8 hours service though Disappointed that they didn't bring floor trim (despite my request for him to bring it) so unable to finish the sheetrock job (which was my no. 1 priority)

This was a handyman big deal. It took about 6 weeks to get work scheduled. He gave me a list of materials that would be needed, so I had the materials ready for him. He built a gate with 4x4 posts cemented in for strength. It took the 4 hours from the coupon. It looks good and should last a long time.

I found that trying to contact this vendor by phone is not very effective. Email is the best way to make initial and follow-up contacts. The first appt. had to be re-scheduled because the client before us did not have the necessary supplies on hand, which required a trip to Home Depot and made the carpenters too late for our job. The carpenters showed up for our job 2 days later as scheduled but were again running late, so had to come back the following day to complete the last job. They did however complete the two primary jobs, working quickly and professionally, before they had to leave for another appt. They returned the next morning to finish the last job. The work done for the price was excellent.

This was a very disappointing waste of my time and my money. Mr. Reiner and an assistant spent most of the day looking at the doors and telling me yes, they were old and yes, the hardware needed replacing. And yes, the fans were wobbly. They went for parts, came back and told me they'd gotten the wrong ones and shrugged. They replaced the porch lights (which I could have done myself) and asked if I needed anything else. AT THIS POINT, NOTHING WAS REPAIRED, and I'd paid $223 dollars to change a light bulb! I said that I had problems with doors that needed solutions, and I fully expected to have those problems resolved at the end of the time I had purchased. Mr. Reiner was not happy at that point, and went to buy different parts at another store. He and the assistant returned about an hour later, and quickly made fixes to the four broken folding closet doors. He did not attempt any additional repair to the patio door, which after he took it apart is completely inoperational (whereas it was merely sticking on the track before). The garage door opener he claimed he could also not repair because it was missing a connector. He adjusted a blade on one of the ceiling fans but did not obtain a balancing kit for either. Neither of the problems with the ceiling fans were corrected. The bolting of the dishwasher did not get done. I am extremely unhappy with this experience and I don't think I'll do any pre-paid services again. I'd rather meet with a provider and get a proposal of services and estimate first.

Mr. Reiner is very unprofessional and unreliable. I asked him if he had too much work and he said no he could take another job.

Charlie and Miguel arrived promptly at 10AM, and we looked at the projects and I provided the materials. The main issue was that all of the outlets were going to one circuit, and so Miguel needed to wait to use electric tools while working on the gate. Charlie discovered that there was a broken gang on one of the outdoor, plugs so that was left until I could get the needed materials.

I had called them several times. The guy never got back to me. I had to call Angie's List who had to contact him. Customers should not be treated like that. However, I was satisfied with what he did when he arrived.
