ARBAT TV Repair

The color was going out in my TV. He was honest enough to tell me that a wire was not plugged in. He told me that if that did not fix it, then he would come back. He charged me the minimum cost for his travel. My TV is still fixed. I was very pleased with his service.

Mike was prompt, very pleasant, and knowledgeable about all types of TVs and problems. I thought I was going to need to replace my current TV, but he was able to fix the sound problem and adjust the picture so that the clarity was restored. He assured me I was not yet ready to replace my current TV.

Everything went well. The gentleman arrived on time, was professional when dealing with us, and did a good job with the repairs. The television is working just fine now.

Mike came promptly and right on the promised time. He diagnosed the loss of sound as a problem with a dying DVR player, and installed a new one I had just purchased (by coincidence). My ancient TV sounds better than it has for years, thanks to the new DVR he set up for me. He was very pleasant to work with and to talk with about the problems I was having, and his price was very, very reasonable. I would hire him again any time I had a TV problem.

Really easy! For me I dont like hassles. I was able to call Mike explain my situation and he was able to diagnose the situation on the phone. He came out when he promised and fixed tv within 15 minutes. Would do business with him again!

Mike disassembled and checked closely to find burned out wires and charred section of metal, thus confirming this set was usafe and unrepairable. I was glad to know that because I had intended to gift it to a young teen who likes to tinker with old electronics. This would have been very unsafe for the boy. I'm very glad to know Mike for future repairs. Great service.

I called him early in the AM. He said he could come out that day about 10:00AM. He arrived on time. He took the TV apart on my living room store- found the problem. He took out his soldering iron and removed 3 capacitors. Soldered in 3 new ones, He explained about the cost of a new power unit. Said it didn't need one, but they are hard to find. He would keep a record of my TV and if it needed one he would he would try to find one. He was there about 2 hours and I was very satisfied with his professionalism and knowledge. I would definitely use again. I think the price was fair and I would use him again.

I was impressed. He tried to be helpful and I think he really knows this stuff. This was just the information I needed to make a decision about the set. After considering the possibilities, possible costs and the odds I decided it would be better to replace it.

Fantastic customer service. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and repair the TV easily. Wall to wall time was about one hour. I would definitely recommend Arbat TV and will use him again if I need TV service.

Services were fantastic. I thought my TV had a bad picture tube. The owner/tech examined the televisions and made a proper assessment and quoted a more than fair price.

He came right out to our home to fix the issue. He did exactly as he stated he would do and the price reasonable.

I submitted an on-line request on Monday, 10/1/12, around 11:30am. Even though I had read the previous review indicating their lack of response to an on-line request for service this past Summer, I thought that it sounded like an oversight (or at least the owner would have learned and corrected the problem). Unfortunately, it appears the company has not learned anything from past experience. It is now 8pm Wednesday, 10/3/12, and no response. I provided my cell phone and home phone numbers. Since time is not a critical factor, I thought I would take a chance that they provided service to Deer Park since Friendswood is listed on the website. Unlike the previous reviewer, I chose not to call to follow up as to why they did not respond to my request. There are plenty of other companies in Angie's List with excellent ratings. I don't need to go asking a company to provide service and take my money. I'll just move to another company on the list with an excellent rating.

Using the form on their website, I e-mailed the year/make/model and described the problem I was having with the LED TV. The next morning I had a response stating that the problem I described was not typical for a LED TV and they suggested I try different inputs and other possible solutions to the problem. One of their suggestions resolved the problem and the TV is now working great. I am very impressed by a company that will do the above rather than immediately schedule to send out a repairman and I will definitely use them again.

I submitted a request for service via the arbat website on Thursday, July 19, 2012. After waiting at the house and not hearing anything from them for 4 hours, I started calling their phone number given on Angie's list. The phone rang but then rolled over to a busy signal. There was no opportunity to leave a message. I tried 4 times Thursday with the same result and never did receive a return phone call from them. Before calling someone else Friday morning, I decided to try Arbat one more time. This time I did get through to Mike. After introducing myself, he read what I had entered on their website in the service request so it was clear the submittal was successful. Mike then told me they don't do service in The Woodlands, only in Houston. In their writeup on Angie's list, there is indication they had recently serviced a TV within 5 miles of my house. Mike then told me they no longer service plasma HDTV's like mine either, another detail that failed to make the Angie's List entry. I am primarily submitting this review to get these details entered on their Angie's List record but the business also needs to improve their responsiveness.

Nice fellow. He had the part and put it in. Had some trouble and I helped him.

After checking on the list, I called the number provided, which forwarded me to another phone. While leaving a voice mail the fellow (Mike) called back. He asked me a few pertinent questions about my TV, and was able to determine that he could in all probability fix it without having to order a part and made an appointment for later the same afternoon. Mike called back as he was on his way to insure I was at the house, which I was, and he showed up on time. Once inside, he checked the TV model number and said he could fix it. I helped him remove the TV to the floor and lay it flat, then he went to work as I took care of an issue. After i was done (approx 20 minutes), the television was ready to place back in it's spot, and we plugged it back in and turned it on. It was repaired. Mike was personable and professional. I asked a few questions about the television and he answered my questions as well as he could. I can easily recommend Arbat TV repair based upon my experience.

Mike, owner of Arbat TV, was fantastic to work with, a true professional in every way. He returned my call promptly and even came to service my Samsung Flat Panel TV on the very same day! The problem was typical to the TV model unfortunately, but he came with all parts and completed service on the spot. He called ahead to verify his arrival and came within the time slot he quoted. I highly recommend calling him for any service, the manufacturers and larger stores just can't compete, plus you don't have to haul it in!

Very prompt service, extremely courteous and friendly. Will use them again when the lamp goes out on television. I asked about the lamp and he said they carry them in the truck and can be out the same day. Have used Conn's in the past and they usually took at least two days. Highly recommend this company and will use them again.
