Ajax Exterminating

Purchase of the special went fine. Getting someone to show up to complete the service was another story. Phone calls apparently could be made to cancel scheduled appointments...twice. But no one could call to inform that we were "out of service area," and cancel the deal altogether and issue refund? Sorry...cannot recommend, nor would I use this company again. (Can't anyway, as I am not in their service area.)

It went very well. The house foundation perimeter was done first including checking weep holes in brick areas. The yard and perimeter we done next. A slow release formula was used to help control pests that may try to return/come in from other yards. Technician was very prompt and professional and gave us hints on how to maintain perimeter control of pests.

The service was fine and he took care of the issue. I had no problems with scheduling and he came out the day after I called. He was here for about an hour and a half.

He was able to resolve my issue in about 6 weeks. I had been trying to get this problem solved with another major service provider for more than 4 months.

He came out quickly and addressed our issues. He said he would follow up again in about six months to a year.

After all of the heavy rains, little ants decided to come on in. Robert did same day service within thirty minutes of my call. He's excellent!

Communicated well, on time, bugs are dead. Very satisfied!

Robert arrived promptly and did a thorough job for a reasonable price. I truly appreciated being given an appointment time instead of a 2 or 3 hour "window." It shows respect. Thankfully, my attic is now my own again. I was so impressed with his professionalism that I also hired him to come back and do quarterly treatments for insects (outside & inside). He again did a very quick, thorough job - even treated my roof line. I have already referred him to one friend and will continue to do so in the future.

I am new to the area and Robert fit me in his schedule on a Saturday, (with short notice). He arrived on time and did a thorough job of spraying and educating me about potential pests and ways to avoid them. In addition, he was personable and very patient in answering all of my questions pertaining to pests in the area.

They were good. They were on time and professional.

Robert is always very professional, polite and on time. He calls me every 3 months to schedule an extermination. I have not had any problem with bugs of any kind and I live in a wooded area. I used Robert's service in my previous home also. I will continue to use him.

They were on time, in and out in probably a half hour. They were informative about what they were doing, friendly.

Ajax Exterminating was not very good. The service was fine but the person who did the work wasn't. He just kind of complained about the fact that they don't offer that particular service for that price on Angie's List anymore. The service person said that it is actually an old deal and actually costs a lot more now. It was stupid of the company to offer it for that price. He didn't try to offer any other services or talk about the services the company offers. We were looking for a regular pest control company. We had a couple of companies come out. Ajax wasn't really good. He didn't really sell the company or offer us any information except complaints. We haven't seen less bugs after their treatment.

All the details are above. This guy seems like a CLASS A JERK!!!! Karma Robert.... it comes back on ya eventually.... and I have faith that you will get yours.

My original appt was set on 4th of July and after no one showed I called and Robert told me, "umm it's 4th of July" I told Robert I realized it was 4th of July although they made my appt on that day. So he told me they were not working that day but would go out the next day. When he came to my house there was some confusion of the charges after his work was done in only 10 mins. After one week I called Robert back and told him I still had at least 2 ant mounts and lots of ants in my yard. He asked if I wanted a refund and I said no, I would like the work done right. So Robert came to my house again and after another week, I still have ants. I called Robert back yesterday, explained to him I still have my ant problem and finally just wanted a refund. He told me he needed to get everything together and would mail me a check, I said thank you and then got hung up on.

After I bought the deal on Angies List I scheduled an appointment for later that week. Robert called the morning of my appointment and offered to come out early, which worked really well for us. He was to treat the interior and exterior of the house. He ended up doing the fence line around the backyard as well at no additional cost. (we have a pretty small back yard). A few days later we noticed bugs were still running around the kitchen sink at night so called him back. He came back out immediately to retreat and identified our unwanted guests as German Roaches. He said it may take a few days to get rid of them all, but as of this morning, they appear to be gone. I have had experiences with other Angie's List deals that I purchased from other company's, for other services (A/C) where the hightly rated company is almost resentful about fulfulling the deal - taking several weeks to schedule the appointment and giving me what feels like a discounted service. This was NOT the case with AJAX, he always answered the phone immediately, scheduled the appointment within a few days and went above and beyond with his treatment. I will use this company for all of my future exterminating needs.

I purchased a $79 big deal for general pest control treatment. I did not pay more than the big deal. The only issue I had was that I had to contact him. I contacted him the day I purchased it. He said that he would contact me as soon as he gets an alert from Angie’s List that it has been purchased, and I never heard from him. A couple of weeks went by and I called him again. When I called him again, he came out like right that day or the next day. He was very quick, but I guess I fell through the cracks or something. I had to reach out to him a couple of times, but once I did, he was very responsive. I do not know if he just had a lot of people purchased it at one time.

Robert was prompt and he did a good job. He did not rush and he exterminated inside and outside. He was very pleasant and very professional. I will use him again!

The work was fine. He's prompt, cordial and confident.

Everything was fine. After having our house repiped, the plumbers indicated we might have a problem with animals in our attic. Jack came out and checked. He did find evidence of rats, yuck. He treated around the outside of our house, set bait stations in the attic, and set traps around the outside of our house. He advised us to get rid of some ivy that we had growing on one corner of our house, so we did so. He also found that the screens behind some large louvers on some high eaves on both sides of our attic were torn away, so he replaced those for us with screens that can't be easily disturbed.

I had setup AJAX to come out to give a quote on some options for Bird and Rodent removal. I explained on the phone prior to them coming out that I had already had previous work done by a separate company over this problem. On the day of the scheduled estimate I had another pest control company come out to give me an estimate on some of the other issues I was experiencing. The tech drove by and called me after the other company had left, asking if I had called another company to do the work. I tried to explain to the tech that I had requested an estimate from them based on other work, but the tech blatantly told me that "I just wasted my time" and then hung up on me before I could explain further. The tech himself seemed like a nice enough guy, but very unprofessional. Had I even requested a quote from a different company over the same service, it did not mean that I did not want their estimate. The purpose of AngiesList is to essentially shop for the best company to do the job.
