Description of Work: They fixed my kitchen faucet which was clogged up and replaced a part the housekeeper took off. They also told me about a product called BioSmart which keeps drains open and clean. Great product.

Description of Work: Washing machine drain backed up. They cleared it, treated it, left another treatment which I can perform. They also helped me understand what scheduled maintenance I could perform to avoid this problem in the future. Love these folks. I sign up for their yearly maintenance to ensure I am on their preferred list.

Description of Work: Found and repaired a gas leak. The plumber arrived on time and performed a thorough search for the gas leak. He found it, repaired it and left everything neat and tidy. This was the second time we used Abacus. The first was for a clogged kitchen sink and disposal replacement. All was done professionally and in a timely manner.

Description of Work: I have used them on several occasions. The most impressive work was when they suggested a whole house filter. The filter works great. We had one small problem with a leak and they fixed it immediately at no charge to me.

Description of Work: We have used Abacus for both plumbing and air-conditioning service for several years. We will admit that their pricing is not the cheapest (they will probably not be the low bid), but we are convinced that they offer service value and maintain high industry standards.

Description of Work: I had a clogged pea trap under the kitchen sink. The technician charged approximately $400 to remove the trap and reinstall. Plus I had to buy their product which cost approx. $75. When Abacus called to check on the service I found out that I did NOT have to buy the product and they reimbursed me. When I told them that I thought the price was extreme they reduced the price. However, it took them several months to do so.

Description of Work: I called for service on a hot water heater. What I got was a saleman. I ask him since I had two heaters and only one leaking if he could direct hot water from the other so I could have hotwater. Not possible he said. Lie. Also said if one heater was bad the other one probably was or soon would be. Lie again. There price was high more than anyone. The plumber I used came out and got hot water to the rest of house said he saw no need to replace other heater it was not leaking, no visible rust etc. it good shape. Suggested I probably got one bad one and a check with rest of the neighbors told me I was the first one with trouble in a 6 yr. old neighborhood.

Description of Work: Emergency call out on a Sunday to repair an outside hose bib which had resulted in losing all water to the house. They arrived well ahead of schedule and kept working at the problem even when it wasn't readily/easily repaired (the hose bib was at the low point, so water kept dripping into the joint as the technician tried to sweat in a new copper hose bib - he finally to it complete after an hour of trying - no extra cost for all of his time). I have used Abacus for all of my plumbing needs for many years, from a bath tub replacement, to cleaning out the sewer discharge line, to periodic service calls, and they are always very prompt and professional. I will continue to use them.

Description of Work: Completely replaced air conditioning and heater.they were great on the installation and the units are top notch. But it took me weeks for them to do the general follow up. I had them do the winter check up last year. I had paid for a spring check up but was not aware I had. They called me this spring one week after the expiration date and and would not not honor it.and they give a 6 hour window for service. I have gone back to my previous service company.
