I am disappointed to learn that we did not meet your expectations on this glass job. We knew that this glass (about 4 curved units) was a very unusual shape and would probably test our stamina. I want to thank you for expressing your concerns regarding your recent interaction with our family business. We are always hopeful that our clients will give us the opportunity to make things right by calling before they post a review, but we did not have that option in this case. We said our goodbyes that day with me having a sense of pride at how well I had taken care of you. It sounds, based on your review, I did everything as I stated I would do on the phone with you when you called. Since you were selling your home and just needing something in writing, you elected for me to come visit you instead of handling the transaction by email. We must charge a nominal fee for going out when there is no chance to sell you anything. Most of our clients are appreciative with that type of service. Our impeccable record, as evident by us receiving the Super Star Service award for the past 6 years, shows we take our job seriously. There are 173 window companies/individuals you can call on in the metroplex, therefore it is easy to find someone cheaper. My claim to fame is not that I am cheap. My price reflects the type of service, product and commitment I offer. I will share this review with all my staff and we will be a better company because of it.Service Provider Response

I am very disappointed to read such a disingenuous review. This customer purchased from us in September 2004. Because of the way we were treated during the installation process Lanham Window Company has chosen to never sell to this client again. We have less than 10 clients with that distinction in our 41 years of being in business. We still are happy to honor any warranty (glass breakage and torn screens are not included and client acknowledges this) claim that is made, however there has been no calls for service. So why the Angie's List review (8) eight years later after the installation? Is it an attempt to assassinate the character of a very reputable company? (Only 1 vendor has more reviews than us on Angie’s List) This client’s lawn service accidentally broke a piece of glass in their door. The client asked the company to contact us for replacement of the glass. Once again, we respectfully declined to work for them. It is obvious that this did not set well based on the review, and it only validates our suspicions of what may happen if we elected to work for this client once again. This is not the proper forum for character assassination, but I must address the assertion that I treat my installers poorly. My lead installers have been employed with us anywhere from 11 to as much as 17 years as of this date. Lanham Window Company does not have a turnover on employees. We must be doing something right to create that type of loyalty. I am so proud of each employee and think of them as family. I like to think they reciprocate that feeling as well. That loyalty was put to the test during the course of installation for this particular client. This client created such a hostile work environment that it was very stressful trying to convince the installers (including Danny) that they still needed to go work for this client even though they were being disrespected by this homeowner. Nobody should have to work under the conditions that were created the week we worked at this home. Lanham Window Company has never charged any type of mistake back to any employee. Never. One wonders the thinking of this client? If the initial installation was such a catastrophe, why would you even call that company again? This client has attempted to purchase from us on 2 separate occasions through the years. Why not call someone else? That part does not make sense. Lanham Window Company has well over 132 'A"' ratings from satisfied clients and this is the only 'F' rating from a client that had the work done. The 3-4 other 'F' ratings are from clients we chose to not do business with. I think we all know that you cannot be in business as long as we have (since 1974) and make everyone happy. Remember, you have Angie's List to help you decide who you want working for you. Lanham Window Company only has our gut instincts. If our gut misinforms us then we must still perform to best of our ability. We did just that with this client. We did such a great job here, that we have sold to several of their neighbors. Those neighbors live across the street and kitty corner from this client. We have even used the photos as a way to sell future jobs. I will continue to use the experience with this client as a teaching tool for all our installers and office personnel.Service Provider Response
