Double Eagle Sprinkler

The service representative was very cordial and informative. He explain why he was just a tad late and he 'had' called me to leave a message...I just hadn't found it on my phone, (my bad.) He asked what I wanted him to check so I told him the controller had never worked correctly for me so if he would check the settings. He did this first! He then asked me when and how much I would want the sprinkler system to water for; he then set that as well. Next he did a test run to inspect the sprnklr-heads and did it throughout the whole sprinkler system. Two stations needing adjusting and one replacing; he also corrected one station w/o charge. His service was efficient and timely. He was very neatly dressed and showed respect for my not answering his phone message, (senior moment!) I thank'd him and he left. He later called asking that he would need information for the extra charge for the replacement sprinkler head. I eventually called the office and gave the information. I would definitely recommend this lawn sprinkler service again. Top shelf job!

1) They showed up 2 hours late only after my husband called to remind them that they had an appointment. They called to say they were on their way and apologized citing a "family emergency". 2) They did a cusory check of our sprinkler system and programmed the timer. They adjusted the sprinkler head for maximum coverage as they ran a quick test. My husband stated the technician was a little condescending when he was adjusting the timer. Total time they spent servicing our system was 15 minutes. 3) They offererd no insight on any other services they provide until my husband asked them about it. He asked about landscape lighting. The technician glanced at out transformer box and quoted an outrageous price for an upgrade; $500 for a transformer and $450 per light). It was very evident that they didn't want to be there and they were in a hurry to get to their next job. On the plus say they were polite if not a bit abrupt. It's very unfortuante becuase we've had nothing but good experience with the vendors we've used from Angie's List, to have had such a poor experience with this one. We would not recommend this vendor or use their services again.

After a few weather related issues, our technician was finally able to come out. He was able to find the problem and fix it within 30 mins. He gave us several options and performed the work quickly, neatly and with a few funny stories about his past.

Went great. Clinton took the time to troubleshoot the problem and fixed it in a timely manner. He did a good job explaining everything to me before, during, and after. Did the job with minimal disturbance to my flower bed too!

He was on time. YEAHHHH!!! He was very professional & nice. I would certainly use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good.

He was late because he had some difficulty with one of his earlier assignments; however, he kept us informed a couple of times and was quite prompt when he finally completed the prior task. We explained what we thought was necessry and pointed out areas that were not properly serviced. He then proceeded to do everything we asked plus some, i.e., he replace at least three sprinkler heads, added a small extension, adjusted the hight of several sprinklers to cover some shubbry that was not being properly serviced. All the work was performed in a very short time, and he explained everything that he did and what to expect. Definitely a very good experience!

Clinton was our service technician and he was very helpful and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Double Eagle to anyone!

Todd did a great job, very thorough and provided advice on watering times for my zones. He knew what he was doing and was very helpful. Great job! Will use again.

The experience was just really good. They came on time when I needed them. They picked up things and made some recommendations about watering my plants. All was a very good experience. The guy was very professional and he did what I told him.

Some parts were good, some parts could use some work. The actual work itself turned out well so far. The problem is scheduling. First, the service they use for their online scheduling has an issue...you can schedule an estimate online on a Saturday. Problem is, the estimator doesn't work on weekends and I sat around all day Saturday. I know mistakes happen so I contacted them and got the estimate rescheduled and it went fine.The actual scheduling for the job had some issues. The job before mine went long, so the day I was expecting them, they didn't show. Then on the rescheduled day we had a torrential downpour, so they didn's show (but that wasn't their fault). Next day, they showed up and in three days, I had a new sprinkler system (Mario showed me how to program everything) and new sod. It's been about a week and the sod seems to be doing well. I think the improvement that would really help would be better communication. It would have been nice to have been emailed (I'm not a phone person) that the previous job went long and my start date was pushed back. It would have been nice to have gotten an email confirming that yes, due to the rain, they would not be there. It's a real simple thing, but it does so much. If you can handle the miscommunications, these guys are very nice and overall, I am happy with the finished product.

What sold my on Double Eagle was their online appointment service. I've spent too much time on the phone trying to get landscape/irriagtion companines out to my house with mostly no call backs. I booked the appointment the night before, received an email confrimation and then received a call the next day from my irrigation specialist Clint. Clint was a little late, but called me several times to update me on his situation and apologized repeatedly (stuck on 114 on a Saturday). I couldn't of asked for a better person than Clint. He was very eager to help, professional, and made sure I was happy. I promise you, you won't find customer service like this anywhere else! If I ever need irrigation help in the future, Double Eagle will be the only place that I go!!!

First...any company that has both an online presence, AND a useful website start off on the right foot with me. Double Eagle has online scheduling which is fantastic. I was able to book the appointment sitting on my couch at 9PM for the NEXT day, I was even given an option for a morning appointment (I went with later), but being able to schedule an appoint at night for the next morning is unheard of! I digress... Steve arrived within the appointment window (which I scheduled online...did I mention that?), calling ahead of time to let me know about when he would arrive. Even though I had a window, and he arrived within it, I appreciated the call so I could plan around it. After the initial salutations, we went over the symptoms I was having. We had two zones in our system that continued to release water very slowly even when off for several days. He checked out the valves for the two problematic zones and found they were faulty. He went over pricing with me before he started any work and I agreed to have the valves replaced. I also had a head that was too low in the ground and he raised it up without an additional charge. He worked quickly and updated me as he progressed. I found the cost of the valve replacement to be a tad high since I know what they cost at the Lowe's, etc, but I also realize the cost included "delivery", installation, and testing, and I didn't have to do the work so don't consider it a complaint, more of a note. Overall, I am 100% pleased with the job, Steve, and Double Eagle Sprinkler.

My husband and I have used Double Eagle Sprinkler a few times for our irrigation system, doing annual checkups, repairing a sprinkler leak and replacing sprinkler heads. Kevin, Jason and Charles do exceptional work at a very fair price. They always respond promptly and have time to answer any question we may have and give needed advice. We highly recommend this company for anyone needing sprinkler service.

Took 3 days to respond to request, Village green responded within an hour

The owner called me as soon as they received the response from Angie's list saying i purchased the Lawn Sprinkler look over for adjustments or repairs etc. I called them back and they set my appt up for that same day and even had a window time available that was convenient for me. They were very professional and check all the stations for our sprinklers and even adjusted the ones that need to be adjusted. Answered all my husbands questions. Very nice to work with.

We bought our home in 2007 with a sprinkler system already installed. However, the system, as-is, never worked correctly. The previous owner of the house had tried to fix the broken pipes himself (by pouring concrete on the pipe). Double Eagle visited our house in August 2012 to diagnose the problems (several broken valves and pipes). Over the next several weeks, they worked to fix the original problem and discovered several other problems along the way. In all, Double Eagle replaced several pipes, fixed two broken valves, and replaced many broken sprinkler heads. They also helped us to identify the sprinkler heads for the different zones, and helped us program the sprinkler system. Overall we are very pleased with the work that they did on the sprinkler system. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants their sprinkler system done right!

I would not recommend this company for services to anyone. DO NOT USE use this company if you live in HIGHLAND PARK OR UNIVERSITY PARK. They bill by the hour and you will pay three times as much. Although the individual representative was knowledgeable and polite. I would not expect to pay any company $1765 for a repair which was missed on an evaluation less then 30 days prior. Not the mention the associated fines. I will be filling a report with the BBB for a local investigation.

The two guy crew came out the day after I called. They were about an hour and a half later than the window I was given but once they were here they worked quickly and repaired all the damage done by a stump grinder. Several pipes were broken and all the wires in that section had been cut. When I tried to turn on the sprinklers two days later they wouldn't start so I called and scheduled an appointment for the next tuesday. The guys came out again and quickly found the problem in the wiring and made sure every station was working properly and did not charge me an additional fee. I would highly recommend this company as I have tried to work with several landscaping companies to get work done and no one has been as prompt, professional, and knowledgeable as these guys.
