The $30. is the diagnostic fee for looking at that size unit. I only charged him what was due for his size unit. Mr [Member Name Removed] was given an estimate to repair which he declined. It wasn't the unit couldn't be repaired he chose not to. Mr [Member Name Removed] brought the unit in on Monday 07/24/17, he was told 3 to 5 business days. The tech looked at the on the 25th, I searched for part for 3 days, I gave him the estimate Monday the 31st, which was the 5th day. I feel our prices are competitive. I can not control the manufacturer price. I have been in business for over 50 years and I am proud of my company's performance.

Description of Work: I have a 30 year old, very big and heavy 36" RCA analog TV in my bedroom. Time to upgrade you say? Well, no. I love my old TV. It fits the stand it's on. It's perfect for my bedroom. And it's already hooked up to my Direct TV. I don't want a new TV. Duncanville TV sent out two guys to take my TV into the shop, and then they actually had the necessary parts to repair this old TV! And because it was right before the Thanksgiving holiday when they would be closed, they fixed the TV and delivered it right back to my house. The delivery guys were very careful and courteous. I've also used Duncanville TV to repair my 18 year old 60" built in big screen Mitsubishi that I surely don't want to replace! Duncanville TV is the best!

Called them after finding them on the Sony.com repair site. They told me it would take 3 days and they would give me a quote if it was going to be more than $45. After a week of no calls, I called. I was informed that it was a very hard problem to fix and they would call me and let me know. Another week went by, so I called again. I was told essentially the same thing. The woman on the phone was abrupt and off-putting, but not openly rude. I went on a business trip out of the country. When I arrived home it had been 7 weeks since I dropped off the receiver, I never received a single phone call from these folks. Finally went and picked it up. They couldn't tell me what was wrong with it or what they did. They didn't even try to charge me the $20 minimum fee, i assume because they did not actually do anything. I will never do business with them.

Dear member, While we strongly disagree with your assessment of our company, we do appreciate any feedback we can receive to help us gauge where we can make improvements to improve the overall customer satisfaction, which is our number 1 priority. I would like to briefly, address the specifics of this reviews, and give our version of the story: This client brought in his unit to be to repaired on September 24th, 2013. At the time the client brought in his equipment, we were unsure if it was a fuse issue like the client was stating, or if we would need to order parts. I informed the member normal turnaround time for labor, without having to order any additional parts was 3 to 4 business days. After further investigation of the problem, our licensed technician identified that additional parts would be necessary, which was made clear to the member when he called to check on progress of the service on October 1st, 2013. The client informed us he would be travelling abroad and would get in contact with us upon his return On November 19th, 2013 the client and his companion came into our shop to pick up the unit. While at the shop, he had a conversation with my licensed technician, who informed the client the necessary part was no longer available, and more than likely one of the ICs was shorted; but he wasn’t able to locate the part(Being a Factory Sony Service Company, we have proper documentation of this part being discontinued). The unit was open on my technician’s bench and the client asked if it was in the same condition as it had been when he first dropped it off. There had been no changes to the unit following my technician’s investigation of the problem, and the client took it home with him from the shop. Despite the hours of research my technician spent trying to identify the problem, I didn’t charge the client the typical checkout fee, as we were unable to specifically locate the problem or provide the parts necessary to alleviate the issue. I apologize if the client felt I was short or rude at any time; that was never my intention. However, I take it very personally when somebody calls into question the integrity of this company or myself. My technician goes through rigorous training multiple times a year, and we pride ourselves on doing good honest business, and would never do anything to deceive people or cheat them out of their hard earned money. Again, while we don’t agree with the customer’s comments, we want to thank you for taking the time to express your feelings. We do however encourage other Angie’s List members to take a look at our other reviews to get a better idea of the quality of service we provide all of our customers. My tech informed him that the part was no longer available and most probably one of the ICs was shorted but he had not been able to locate. The unit was open on the bench, where the tech had been working on the unit. He put the unit back together and he ask to see if it was still in same condition as before. When he saw operation was same he removed the unit. As I was unable to give him price and availability on the repair , I thought I was being fair not to charge him the check out fee even though we had many hours of research. I'm sorry if he thought I was rude, it certainly was not my intention. I just get frustrated when someone questions the integrity of me or my business. My technician has worked for me 20 years. I send them to school about 4 times a year. We are a factory service for Sony and many other manufactures and I pride myself on doing good honest business. They were very good. They did the work in just one day. I took my TV to them. They diagnosed the issue and had it ready in 24 hours. It's a family owned business and the people I talked to were very professional and easy to work with.

The DMD IC chip went out on our Mitsubishi TV. Misubishi paid for the part but we had to pay for the labor. I checked Angie's list and saw another review from someone that had the exact same work done and recommended Duncanville TV. I called them , Teresa is wonderful, she arranged everything and had a tech out as soon as they got the part. The repairman was very professional and competent. We will call Duncanville TV again with any repair need !

I gave her a call and she analyzed the problem over the phone and suggested I call the cable company and I did and she was right! Very honest. High integrity.
Description of Work: With a call, she was able to tell me it sounded like a cable issue and call the cable company first and that would save me some money. She was right. It was a cable issue, in fact I think she named the exact equipment problem. So the cable guy fixed the problem and I didn't have to call for more service from Duncanville TV. She was very pleasant and so understanding. I would use them for sure.

Duncanville TV Video interaction went very good. They fixed my TV and it cost us $100 to diagnose and fix it. It's working fine. The service was fine. I just took it in, they called me the next day and told me what was wrong with it and said it would take I think three or four days to get the part and within a week I had it back. This was last summer. It cost less than $100.

They were really good. It was dropped it off one day and it was ready the next day. They were very friendly. The only thing bad about them is that they don't take credit card, which they didn't tell me upfront instead they tell me to my mother-in-law. I would use them again if needed.

Teresa called and gave me an appointment the day the part arrived in her shop. (almost a week earler then the Mitsubishi email had scheduled. They are a family business and her two nephews Joe and Freddy showed up early after calling me to tell me they were on the way. They were both very professional and explained everything that they were doing and just a pleasure to deal with. I would use them again in a second!
Description of Work: My Mitsubishi WD-65C9 DLP got the dreaded "white dot" desease two years out of warranty. After a google search I found that Mitsubishi is paying for the part to fix these as long as you agree to pay $200.00 to the service center to come out and fix. After looking for Mitsubishi Centers in the DFW area I called Teresa at Duncanville TV and Video. She was very professional and knew all about the "white dot" repairs. I asked her if I could get it done as soon as the part arrived as I had some March Madness and other sports events I was missing.

This model is an older (6 year) set. It's a 1081dpi, box style screen. The problem I was having was finding someone that could repair the set, most of the shops I called would only repair the newer versions. I found this company by a coupon drop. I did research and found them to be a family owned business. I called in to place a service request. Teresa took the call, my information, and advised me of the pick up cost up front (I don't like surprises). I called in on a Tuesday morning, The earliest pick up available was Wednesday by 2pm. Teresa called me Wednesday morning to confirm that it was still a good time. When the pick up team showed up at the house, they were very polite and careful. They handled the TV with tender care. I got a call with an estimate to repair Thursday morning, I approved the repair, and the set was returned Friday by the scheduled time.I have no complaints regarding this service call. The picture looks as good as the first day I turned it on. I really appreciate the fact that this business uses genuine Mitsubishi parts and not the generics. I must have called in 2 or 3 times to check on our set, Teresa was very understanding, and come to find out, they cleaned all of the bulbs, lens, and the rest of the interior. It's rare to see a commercial business go the extra mile without having to ask. I will continue to do business with the folks at Duncanville TV as they have earned my trust.
