The Burke Company

There are not enough superlatives to describe my experience with The Burke Co. I had a lot of trepidation about embarking on a remodel, since I'd heard so many horror stories from friends who had gone through a remodel, but my experience with TBC was completely positive. From the beginning, they were responsive and accessible. I changed my mind many times during the estimate stage, and Abby, the project manager, happily reworked it until it was right. My contractor, Clay, and his crew were always on time; the work was high quality and the house was always cleaned at the end of the work day. I may be the only person on Angie's List whose project was completed ahead of schedule! (I'll caveat that by saying I'd picked out my doors, paint and accessories ahead of time and had them ready). I met with Clay every week to discuss the project and I never felt uncomfortable discussing the budget or any changes with him or with Abby. The crew was always polite and hardworking. They even hung my curtains for me! I will never use anyone else but TBC and I had the opportunity to recommend them to several of my neighbors who stopped by to look at the work in progress. I was impressed and awed by the level of service and quality of work I received, and I am happy to provide a reference for anyone who may be thinking of using them.

We have worked with the Burke Co. since 2007 and are as happy with the outcome of this project as we have been with the others. That first project was a 6-month-long undertaking that transformed two-thirds of our home. The second, several years later, involved the exterior, and gave a typical red-brick North Texas ranch house some mid-century flair. This latest project dealt with the remainder of the interior. We have found Burke responsive to our requests and just plain good people to work with. This most recent job wasn't as extensive as the earlier ones, but it got the same level of attention to detail. Work was done on time and phone calls and emails were responded to promptly.

We didn't use them. They were very thorough, very professional and very organized. They had lots of great paperwork and they answered our questions. It was fantastic, all around.

I hired The Burke Company on the recommendation of my neighbor, who had used them for a different type of remodeling job. From the start, they were very professional and attentive. Abby, the Project Developer, listed closely to our needs and created an effective plan. The work was executed on time and efficiently. Clay, the Project Manager, was always easy to reach and visited the job site often during the week-long job. When a few minor problems arose, they were handled quickly and to our satisfaction. I would definitely use this company for future jobs and recommend them.
