+ -1 moreThe installer called the day the windows were to be installed and said he couldn't make it because he wasn't feeling well. Later that day, the project manager called to ask if I was pleased with the installation. It took her by surprise to learn her installer didn't make it. Two days later he arrived, but when he left I saw that the flashing wasn't done. It took three weeks- after a number of calls from me and no return calls from them- to get the installer back to complete the job. Although everything looks fine now, I would never use them again.
Description of Work: Four Picture Windows with flashing were installed in the kitchen.

+ 0 moreThe windows look great! Hope to see improvement on the next few electric bills! This was a very good experience, and I can say that I was totally happy with the project from the bid to the final cleanup after completion. The price was hefty, but replacing windows is just not a cheap thing to do. Plus, it's not something you want to cut corners on. Overall, I think the price was fair.
Description of Work: My home is over 30 years old, and still had the original single pane aluminum windows. In light of energy prices, and the fact that I know I was losing a lot of heat and A/C through these single pane windows, my husband and I decided to replace with double pane vinyl. Home Depot was great to work with. The sales rep came when he said he would, and there was no messing around with prices. They gave me the bottom line to begin with, and did not pressure me to put in the top of the line window, much to my surprise. They let my husband and I have time to decide what we wanted, and when we made the decision the contract was signed, and they were out of there. They were good to keep in contact, and the job was completed within 3 weeks of the order date. The installers were very good, on time, good workers, cleaned up after themselves, and were very courteous about coming into the house. The installation was completely done on 10 windows in just over 5 hours.
