Every six months or so we take him in. You can give them all A's. They are professional and knowledgeable. It's usually by appointment; usually drop him off mornings. I just take him in for routine stuff.

I have brought a few animals to CityVet on Oaklawn. Even though they are not the closest vet to us, they are our go to animal doctors. I originally found them when I was searching for a vet that worked with rabbits. Dr Effie at this location was highly recommended. She is awesome! This last visit was with Dr Neese, and she was great as well. My only complaint would be the noise level in the lobby. I have cats that are not used to being around dogs. It might be nice to have a separate area for quiet pets.

We loved it. I will give them 5 stars for sure. It's great. They follow-up. The doctor calls you personally. She explains everything that's going on. She's gentle with animals. You always get a follow-up call on them which is good. They're an A+.

Initially, I was disappointed that I couldn't get my dog in on the day that I called, but I did call mid-afternoon and I didn't believe that it was an emergency. When I got to City Vet for my appointment (8:00 am) the next day, I was quickly registered. The vet tech came to get us before I had time to even look for a magazine. She was very thorough in her questions surrounding my dog's injury and seemed genuinely concerned. The vet, Dr. Farr, came in when the tech was done and examined my dog. After the exam, Dr. Farr suggested a couple of options for treatment. She was very clear that it was my decision, and did not try to get me to have tests done that were not necessary. I didn't want to wait for half an hour for the results of the blood work, so she called me as soon as she had the results. Later on in the morning, Dr. Farr called to tell me that the office had to get one of the meds from a different clinic because of my dog's size. She didn't want me to come back to the office before the medicine arrived. When I did go back to the office, it was very busy, yet all of the staff was very professional and nice.

.My dog passed away today but I am so thankful for the care they gave her. We all were on the same page about not letting her suffer needlessly. She died naturally. I am so comforted knowing these angels were watching over her

We were very impressed with their care, concern and professionalism! What we thought was the reaction of an older cat to recent vaccinations turned out to be congestive heart failure! Since they determined that our cat was in very good health otherwise, we decided to and quot;bite the bulletand quot; and have her treated. They called my husband 4 times during the day to give him updates and see how he wanted to proceed. We both thought that was exceptional! This is the first time used CityVet; they're close to where I work, but not close to where we live. Since we needed to have our cat seen on a workday, we needed to find a place close to where we work. They explained to us why the CHF symptoms seemed to appear and quot;out of nowhereand quot;, how to treat her, etc. They were very kind, caring and efficient. We were very impressed and plan to take our cat back to CityVet for her next appointment. Regarding the price, I really have no idea how much these services would have cost elsewhere. I gave them a and quot;Band quot; on this more because I WISH it cost less, but others may very well charge as much or more.

She is excellent. She takes time with pets. She is very upfront about what procedures need to be done and what can be done in the future. She is very caring and wonderful. We will continue to go to her.

I like that they have a boarding service as well and that their prices are very fair.

I will continue to use them. They are great overall.

We recently moved to Dallas and were looking for a veterinarian for our new kitten. I used Angieslist to find some veterinarians and then contacted 5 or 6 of them with high scores to get a quote for the series of shots and tests that kittens usually need. Everone else was honest and gave me their rate for the whole 4 visits that kittens need and it ranged from 78 to 110 per visit. This pet clinic pretended that they are different and only gave me the rates for individual shots and tests which did not add up to much so we made an appointment. When we took our kitten to them they did not give her first shot but tested her for warms but we needed up paying 130$ for the first visits without even get in her first shot. I think this is outrageous and they should stop their shady business practice and be honest with their customers.

My experience with City Vet ALWAYS goes off without a hitch. You're the best!

The vet is great. Her bedside manner is really good; she's nice and knowledgeable. She takes a genuine interest in my pets. I've been using her services for almost a year, and plan to continue taking my pets there.

Dr Jeannie Hill is the absolute best Vet I have ever encountered. The whole staff is incredible and I had to post a review letting anyone who needs a new vet know that there is no finer Veterinarian anywhere than Dr .Jeannie Hill. She is worth asking to see personally and although she is only in a few days a week, I schedule my whole week around seeing her personally as I know she feels invested in making Niki better as I do, I totally trust Niki to her completely. Her vet Tech Chris is also hands down the best and most caring tech I have ever encountered. I just can't say enough to thank them for everything they have done this year to give us the best care. My last vet retired last year and I didn't think after 20 years he could be topped, So imagine my surprise when I found this incredible place I now call My New Vet, that is until Dr Hill retires . I sure hope that is a long time off. I will be a client for life and so will Niki.

It was OK except for the price. Much too expensive.

This was my dog's first use at the facility. She entered with my son's pet, a dog of the same breed (who is the regular patient of this veterinarian). I explained that she suffered from separation anxiety and requested they administer Benedryl daily to lessen the anxiety. The following day, as we were boarding a plane, the veterinarian called to report that the dogs were doing fine and gave examples of their activities. Their personalized service was notable. I would recommend them highly.

I have 2 iguanas. One of them had a lot of problems and I had to put it to sleep about 5 years ago. It's very hard to find a vet that takes care of reptiles, as there aren't that many of them. I had gone to them many years ago, but I was lucky to have found another reptile vet in my neighborhood that was really good once I moved. So, I thought that I would try them even though they are located about 17 miles away from where I stay. So, I called them and took my reptile to them, as she had to get a surgery done. Something that I liked about them was that all the vets in their office were capable of dealing with reptiles. There are probably 3 to 4 vets in the office. They then did a surgery on her. They called me during her surgery as well as while she was recovering. I saw a different vet for the follow up, but all the vets were really excited about my reptile. I felt that she got really good care. The follow up was good too. It's a bit harder with reptiles compared to a dog or a cat, but they understood all that. I would definitely go back there again. I know that there are a couple of other veterinarians there even if one of them left that could easily take their place. The surgery actually cost less than I was anticipating. There were also a couple of follow up visits that were already included in the overall price. She also had another surgery before. So, I didn't have to write a cheque every time I walked in there which was good. I didn't have any problems with them. They were punctual and were very attentive. Everybody knew my pet when I walked in. They were very caring. Everybody liked my pet and they also wanted to see her. They were excited about her being there.

They are very good with animals. They communicate very well with me. They are willing to see me immediately in an emergency. The two veterinarians I work with are good. The facility is good, clean, and doesn't smell. I last visited the center in January.

Everyone there is really awesome, including the staff out front. They are real helpful. She goes for her annuals and they cleaned her teeth. They are very friendly with pets and really great.

I recently adopted a Bengal/Siamese mix kitten from Texas Exotic Cat rescue. I took him to see Dr. Dennis at City Vet. SnowFoot was a big hit at City Vet. Unfortunately, he had a very bad case of ringworm, which I learned is actually a fungal infection, not a worm. I've had pets for many years and never knew that. The vet and assistants at City Vet were very informative and helped me throughout SnowFoot's month-long quarantine (from my other cat), even taking him in for one weekend when we had to go out of town. I was afraid to leave my brother-in-law in charge of kitty medication. Not to fear -- City Vet offers cat-boarding in the main facility, and even offers the "quarantine" boarding for sick animals. I was told that EVERYONE loved my little baby and spent time playing with him while we were away on the weekend! Now that's dedication. Of course, he is a gorgeous baby! I highly recommend Dr Dennis at City Vet, and I have always had a great experience with the front desk staff and animal assistants. Great job, guys!

There is plenty of parking and they are in a new facility, which is modern and open. The waiting area wasn't comfortable, only 2 chairs, but I didn't wait too long. The vet tech seemed bumbly and unsure of herself as she examined the cats for the initial work up. She was aggressive and man handled them during the treatment. After the visit, I had no faith in the doctor's clinical skills. When I requested to be present for blood draws, they accommodated, but the vet was awkward with this process. It was as though she never did this sort of thing. It was an incredibly stressful visit for all of us, and when we left, the cats were soaked in alcohol from multiple attempts to draw blood. Never again.

They are excellent. I wouldn't take my cats to anyone else! I highly recommend!

Dr. Matt Murphy was the vet who saw us. He has seen my dog on many occasions and is very kind and helpful with both our dogs. You can tell that he truly cares about animals. We waited in the exam room to see our vet. The attendant came in to ask about what our issue was and to take our dog's temperature. After she was done, Dr. Murphy came in. Once he ran a few tests, he determined that x-rays should be done to check to see if there was an issue with our dog's hips. X-rays were taken and medicine was prescribed. As mentioned Dr. Murphy has seen my dogs before. I highly recommend him and the rest of the staff at City Vet. This visit was unique due to the circumstances, but we will return for our dogs annual visit in a few months. We started going to City Vet because I lived down the street. I have since moved about 15-20 miles away, but we still return just to see Dr. Murphy and because I trust City Vet with our pets.

I am satisfied with the veterinarian I've been using there... and have given an all A's review in the past. However, I have most recently dealt with a very sick dog that went through a downward spiral and ultimately had to be put to sleep. My biggest disappointment in the care received has to do with overnight and weekend care. Note that they do NOT advertise to be an animal hospital and indeed I found that even though my pet was quite ill during this period they discharged him from care overnight -- in some cases to the nearby emergency clinic for overnight care. (Good care but very expensive.) And once sent home with me over the weekend when I really thought too ill to be released. Apparently even though a large facility with quite a few veterinarians and a large staff, they do not choose to staff for overnight and weekend care for ill animals. I was quite disappointed in this aspect of care -- and hope that it is not "the norm" for Dallas. Despite my satisfaction with the individual vet I have been using there, I will be looking for another vet who offers more complete services for my remaining pet.

I have gone there for at least six years. They are excellent; all the different doctors are very good. The doctors are very responsive and I really like the way my animals are treated when I take them in. They do give a discount for strays.

City Veterinary Center provides a great service. The staff is very friendly. The price is a little more than what I am used to pay but well worth the extra money. I highly recommend them to anyone in my community.
