Windshield drain was still plugged - there must have been more than one drain. Returned car to them and they took the panel apart and cleaned it out and opened up all drains. They did the drain repair over and did not charge for it.
They did not do a thorough fix on the drain the first time, but were responsive and finished the repair.
They made a mistake, which happens, and then made it right which doesn't always happen.

I took the car on a road trip right after the catalytic converter was and quot;repaired.and quot; During the trip the check engine light came on. I had it checked out by a dealership in another city, and they told me it was due to the converter. However, since it had just been serviced, they said it was probably okay and they reset the internal computer to turn off the check engine light. They said if the problem persisted to take it back to Christian Brothers.
While driving the car on another trip a month later, the check engine light came on again. This time, I had an additional issue with transmission fluid overheating. I didn't want to risk damage to my car, so I used AAA to tow my car 200 miles back to the same Christian Brothers.
The next day, I was told by Christian Brothers that I needed a new catalytic converter (along with replacing the transmission). This, after my car was vandalized in their lot, and they and quot;fixedand quot; it. They wanted to charge me more than $1,700 to put in a new catalytic converter! Are you kidding me? The converter was fine before the car went in for other service. It was damaged due to vandalism on their property, and all they did was weld the cables back together -- which of course, didn't last.
I had my insurance company review the damage, and also an independent dealership, to determine that there had been cables WELDED. Not replaced. They both told me that the thing to do would have been to replace the catalytic converter and cables in the first place.
Even after the two independent reviews, I had to call Christian Bros. back several times (the guy I was working with would NOT call me back...ignored me several times). He didn't call me back until the very end -- when I was one step away from small claims court. The shop finally agreed to replace the catalytic converter at no charge. They called it a and quot;goodwilland quot; gesture, after causing me two months of grief.
As for the big dent and scratches in my car, I chose NOT to let Christian Brothers repair my car. That was another issue that ticked me off. The car was damaged while in their possession. The guy I worked with said, and quot; You chose to leave it here in our lot overnight.and quot; SERIOUSLY? They told me I could leave the car overnight, and took the keys for safekeeping.
And as for the dent and scratch repairs, I would have to do it on my own time. Take my car to shop that partners with Christian Brothers a few miles away, on my own time, to have someone else fix the damage. They didn't offer a rental car, nor did they offer to take care of the repairs themselves. They would cover the cost of the repairs, but there was no offer to help with anything else. Major inconvenience for me -- and I'd be without my car...again.
Oh, and to add insult to injury: I decided, after all that had happened, it was time to get another car. I did that, and decided to sell my older car separately. I didn't trade it in to the dealership The guy at Christian Brothers called me and asked what I was going to do about my car. Was I going to fix the transmission? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Then he offered me $1,000 for my car. He would fix it up and sell it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You didn't repair my car properly after it was vandalized in your possession. Then you tried to sell me a new converter...for another $1,700?
And then... you have the nerve to call and offer to buy my car for less than it's worth so you can fix it and make a profit on it?
I'll never take a car to Christian Brothers again. Most un-Christian behavior.
Less important, but noticeable things were that the shop was very clean and the waiting room was comfortable and quiet. No one seemed to be wasting time or standing around joking like you see at other repair shops. They seemed very disciplined and focused here, which is rare in an auto repair shop.
