I hired PDR on February 12, 2013 when I had a sewage backup in my home. They came out immediately to help and I hired them on the spot to do the mitigation and rebuild if necessary. Since that hire date, my job remains unfinished, unsatisfactory and problems have been compounded by actions on the part of the owner of the company and his employees. I've been bullied by the office manager, Candace, over the phone, bullied and intimidated by the owner Gerald in person and over the phone. They demanded additional money to be paid before payments were due. I have a voicemail explaining he was canceling the unfinished project and filing leans on my home. From the beginning there has been a lack of leadership and supervision on this project. My disabled husband and myself have been through weeks of torture, 77 days in total. We have had no accessible toilet downstairs in the main house. At our age and condition, we should not be expected to climb over a metal stair railing in order to get onto the stairs that go up to our bedroom and bathroom. I've been unable to access my in-home business office, laundry room, and other spaces in my home for 77 days. After already utilizing my credit card to make two prior payments, I paid an additional $12,000 to prompt them to keep working and altough they advertise that they accept credit cards, Candace the office manager, refused to allow me to utilize my credit card and forced me to go to the bank and obtain a cashiers cash for $12,000. So many portions of this work have been torn out and started over that the job is further behind than when it was begun. The owner of the company and the office manager canceled the job, workers and my contract. They have done work wrong multiple times, coming back, doing it over, etc., however it is still unfinished. When I told them I was going to be forced to look elsewhere for workers, they sent a new foreman, Gary, to attempt to reestablish the contract, who validated the current unfinished state of my home as well as all of my numerous complaints about the work being done incorrectly. After Gary was let back in to clean up the mess they had created and abandoned, and suddlenly after a few hours on the job, he packed up his crew and abandoned the job yet again. I had to track him down in order to understand why he left and never contacted me. I currently have 3 contracts in my possession, which were drawn up by the first foreman, but never signed by the owner of the company. Not only has this project been difficult from the beginning, my husband and I have suffered serious health repercussions. We have been to the doctor several times. This is due to the continuous construction powder having not been contained (PDR guaranteed upfront that it would be contained), and forcing us to breath it while staying in our small living space. We have also suffered great stress because of being mistreated, bullied, attempts at extorting undue money, and the incompletion of the job. Bio hazard walls should have been put up from the beginning, but were put up halfway through the project that created thick construction powder that is now layering my entire home. When the walls were finally put up after the fact, they fell down. We also have been unable to use our heat and air conditioning in the downstairs of our home, for 77 days because the thick layer of construction powder is covering everything. This job could have been done in no longer than 3 weeks, if the crews promised would have appreared and were qualified to do the tasks at hand.
Description of Work: They have been paid $15,387.03 for the mitigation portion of the work, and an additional $15,014.35 toward the rebuild. I first hired them on February 12, 2013--however, the work has not been completed.
