Coppell Tire & Auto

I had check engine light on my Nissan Altima & based on free diagnosis at pep boys it was O2 sensor that needed a replacement or fix. Took my car to coppell Tire & Auto, they said they will do the diagnosis and fix the issue . As per there expert diagnosis result, they replaced different part & told me should be fine now and also asked me to come back in case check engine light comes back. No surprise engine light came back within few hours, I have taken the car back to them and now they said it’s O2 sensor that needs to be changed. They made me pay for both the parts just to cheat and extract more money from me. I guess they weren’t satisfied yet, as part of this service I have asked them to replace my brake liners as they were making squeaking noise. They replaced them but ever since then my gear rod got locked, which means when I hit the brake my gear rod doesn’t move, I have to press “release brake” latch with a key so I can put my car in different gear. I have taken it back to them immediately & their response was it could be coffee spill that is causing the break gear to get stuck ? & need 350$ fix to address the issue. I never had coffee in my life. I have been stuck with this issue ever since then. I WAS DEFINITELY CHEATED. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, ESP IF YOU DONT HAVE GOOD KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CAR PARTS & WOULD LIKE TO TRUST SOMEONE TO FIX YOUR ISSUE.

Left my car here for them to take a look at the air conditioner. Got a call back with a $1700 estimate. So, I declined the work and told them I will pick up the car. I was slapped with a $100 diagnostic charge. I asked them why wasn't I told about the charge in advance? The replies, "do you work for free?", "every single person who comes here pays that fee", "It is your responsibility to ask for any fees you may incur before you left your keys here". Oh after paying my diagnostic fee, I was also told "next time keep your car. don't bring it here" I have no issues paying your fee, but tell me in advance. Don't rip me off. Run your business ethically. Next thing you know, you take the car to them to check for a rattling sound and they tell you it will cost $5k for repairs and if you decline, you still pay some crazy $500 diagnostic fee. And best of all you will not be told about the diagnostic fee in advance, because their policy is "don't ask, don't tell!!". Scammers! Save your time and money. Go to Beas Auto Repair in coppell. Love those guys. Very professional and upfront about their fees.

I know they have a little waiting room but I can't say. We usually just drop off the car. They are very straight forward and they are priced very fairly.

They dealt with the insurance company and were able to get all the hidden damage paid for. I was a bit apprehensive since I usually do my own work but these guys were great and car is better than before. Highly recommend.....

They have done numerous repairs for me over the years and I've always been satisfied.  
Reasons why I recommend them:
1. They are honest. - For over 12 years, I have never, ever felt cheated after doing business with Shannon & Coppell Tire & Auto.
2. They do QUALITY work for a FAIR price.  Fair price means they might not be the least expensive and definitely not the most expensive, but they do QUALITY work.  Fair means fair to both parties - and that's what is right.  
I don't wan't the cheapest price when I get little to no service or poor quality work that needs to be fixed again soon - you get what you pay for.  Sometimes the bill is less than I expect, but if it's more, etc.. they call me first.
3. They try to save me money on repairs, if they know of a work around to get a repair done that will save me a few dollars, they offer that option.  They do what is needed to complete the repair, but don't try to pad the bill.
4. They explain what the problem is and what needs to be done.  They also explain what needs to be done now vs something that might not be so critical and is optional.
5. Convenient hours (they work too much, but I appreciate it).
6. They listen to my concerns or problems I see with my car and take notes.  Then address those concerns.
7. They are creative with their work - meaning they really reason through the problem and don't just throw a lot of repairs & parts on my car to inflate their profits (the shotgun approach that some other shops use).  Example - the interior repair they did most recently.
8. If there is ever a problem with a repair, they follow through and resolve it.  Problems rarely happen, but I really appreciate the way they handle them.
There is no reason to go anywhere else for car repairs.  
I don't know how to recommend a business more highly than this.

The guys at Coppell Tire are the only mechanics I have used since a friend told me about them 7 years ago.  They have worked on everything from my beat-up old Avalon to our Cadillac XLR and they have done every repair with integrity, honestly, and timely communication.  I have never had any reason to doubt their honesty, and their prices are always reasonable. If you need to be picked up and given a ride to or from your vehicle in the shop - they will accommodate you if at all possible.  I have also used their body shop (a newer addition for them).  While I have only had minor damage repaired - I wouldn't hesitate to use them for bigger jobs if I ever need to.  At one point the paint near a repaired bumper they had done began to peel shortly after the repair.  I took the vehicle back and they repaired that area immediately and at no cost.  It has looked great since.  I so trust and appreciate them!

It took a while to find a refurbished computer so they rebuilt one of their own. They did a very nice job.

They did a great job. The car looked and ran better after they fixed it. The repair work included replacing the hood and headlights, bumper, etc. They saved me money where they could. Car looks great.

They are the best. They are honest, affordable and they do not make stuff up to charge me.

They are outstanding. We always get our cars back when they say and the work is always perfect. The customer service is wonderful they really care about their customers.

I bring my Mazda to Coppell Tire and Auto regularly. I like the service. Waiting area is small, but adequate. Their estimate (price and time) to complete the work is accurate.

I have taken cars to repair shops for years and always hated it. For some reason mechanics feel like they should scold you for letting your car end up in whatever condition it is in. Anyway, one of the cylinders in my wife's Nissan Altima was misfiring and the Napa Auto Parts in Coppell recommended that I take it to Coppell Tire and Auto. They were very polite, didn't treat me like I was stupid for not knowing what caused the problem. The service was extremely fast, they had the issue resolved within a few hours. They called and explained what was wrong, told me what needed to be fixed and gave me a total price all at once. When I arrived to pay, I was surprised that the price I was told over the phone was the exact price I paid at the register. There were no hidden fees or "labor costs." As you can see I'm not used to dealing with good auto shops. The Altima drives just like new. I will be going to Coppell Tire and Auto for all of my future car repairs.

They have always been helpful and professional. The work gets done in a timely manner. We haven’t had to take a vehicle back. However, the last few years the price has gone up.

I like the owner of the company. He is a good mechanic. He is honest. Once my husband had to take the car back to him after he had done some work, he just did the work for free. I would definitely recommend him. There are few younger mechanics who works under him. He seems to be the only one that knows about classic cars because the younger mechanics have never seen a classic car because they are too young and they really do not know where things are. I would use their service in the future too.
