Lawn Dogs LLC

We started out with Lawn Dogs in May of 2013. I wrote a review at that time giving them an excellent rating and Badge of Happiness. We just needed them to trim our shrubs at that time, but after my surgery, we called them to mow our yard on an and quot;as neededand quot; basis. They did an excellent job and were always polite and courteous. After a few mowings, the owner came to the door and told me about a new program they were offering where they would come out 1 time a month and do everything including all the work I mentioned above in and quot;What did the provider do.and quot; The cost would be $170 per month. Supposedly, the chemicals they were going to apply would stop the grass from growing as fast so would not need to be mowed as often. On the spur of the moment, we agreed to give it a try for the rest of the mowing season. We did not see the owner again after that. Everything went pretty well for a while. But when I showed the guys that weeds were coming back particularly in the back yard, they said they would come back and take care of it. True to their word, they did put out some more weed poison in the problem area. Unfortunately, it not only killed the weeds, but all the grass in that area. When I pointed it out to them, they said, the owner would probably let them put out some grass seed. I texted the owner with a picture and asked him to stop by to check it out. He promised he would come by within the next few days. He never came by to my knowledge and there was never anything done to cure the problem. On their website, Lawn Dogs, assures everyone that satisfaction is guaranteed. So, on their last visit, I again asked what they were going to do about the dead area in our back yard. I was told they were not going to remedy it and actually, the only was to do it was to scrape it all off and start over. So, they left without satisfying my concerns. I will not be calling Lawn Dogs back to work on our yard. I am not happy about having to write a negative review but I think others should know they don't live up to their satisfaction guarantee.

They came out for one day to do some yard work. The bad experience included several things. They were late they didn't work, first of all he told me that he is going to send me four guys for work and he only sent three, but charged me the same amount. They did not bring their equipment so they had to leave for a long period of time and they still did not bring their equipment back and then they, while they were outside without my knowledge they went and asked my neighbor if they could borrow some of his equipment which was very unprofessional and I was not happy with that at all. They left earlier than they said they were going to and while they did work outside, and much of the time we would see them sitting down or talking on their cell phones or something like that and so I hate. So when ever I scheduled them to come out and also they were supposed to bring a flat bed to haul away all the debris and then they did not, and so they did not have any way to hold all the debris and they brought a box truck in which there is a system of the stones that we no longer wanted. And one of the guys actually asked if he could keep himself and then the owner called me and wanted to charge me for that haul away; and then they also worked on two small projects and did not finish them and left them actually unfinished with debris everywhere. And then the guy, so whenever I talked that the owner was not there, the owner didn't come out. When I originally setup the appointment, he wanted me to pay like $ 600 for the day and I said well I'll pay half up front and half when they finished and he was satisfied. And so I paid them $ 300 which I felt was over paying for what they actually did and then he called me after they left and he said that we still owe them $ 300 more and I had already talked to him earlier in the day about some of the things that we were having issues with and then I proceeded to tell him everything else that we had an issue with and I said I don't feel that they did half the job that we were promised, and so I don't feel like that we owe you the other half of the money. Well, he got very upset and argued with me on the phone for an hour and then called me the day after or a couple of days after and did the same thing and was very rude and unprofessional and it was awful.

They have always done a wonderful job. Never any complaints!

Everything was great! They called me back very quickly and they were on time and professional.

After calling several lawn services to try to get our shrubs trimmed, we settled on Lawn Dogs. Everyone else wanted to sign us up on a weekly lawn service plan. Lawn Dogs were fine with one time jobs or weekly jobs either one. So, after receiving an estimate, we asked them to do our work. The crew arrived on time and went straight to work on the job. We had recently purchased the home and the shrubs had been allowed to get out of control. But the guys did an awesome job all around. Our shrubs look amazing!! We will be calling them back in a few months so we can keep our shrubs looking nice. Thanks guys at Lawn Dogs for your willingness to do one time jobs for those of us who do not necessarily need full time lawn care. We will definately recommend you to our friends and family.

They had the lowest bid of any of the companies I looked at. They did a great job when they came and did the work as well.

My experience with them was mixed. I think that they did a good job. However, when I called them for an estimate, they told me that some of their guys would come take a look at the yard and call me back with a price. They came, took a look at the yard but they didn’t call us, they just did it. The price they charged was fair. However, me and my wife were not at home when it was all done, so when she came back from work she found that our fence was broken. I was not sure what happened and they did not inform us about anything so I called their president. He told me that the door was open and the wind slammed into the fence. They came over and fixed it because I told them that I will not pay until they fixed it. It took me 3 weeks to get the bill, and then he called me two days after I got the bill for me to pay up. That really rubbed me the wrong way. I think the president handled it well but his crew did not.
