Called and scheduled appointment. Doug showed up on time and completed work as agreed. His work is excellent! Nice guy.

Realistic prices, arrived as scheduled, did the work I requested, didn't give me any grief. That's the way it is supposed to happen. I have had so many experiences with contractors that make me feel like I am bothering them when I offer to pay them money for their services. This guy actually listened to what I had to say and then told me what he could do. He did not talk down to me, but was very professional and courteous. He arrived on schedule, did the work promised, did not cause any damage to anything, cleaned up, and left. This guy is the ideal contractor, he should teach the other contractors how it is supposed to work. Bottom line: You should use this guy.

Overall things went very well. I'd had work done by this company before. I received professional and prompt service. I called made the appointment. The job was completed. It was that easy.

We got his contact info from AL - called Doug and he was able to come out in about 2 hours and replaced the unit in less than an hour. Doug is a great guy! He is curtious, professional, efficient and we are very pleased!

My torsion spring broke on my garage door on Sunday afternoon. I found Independent Overhead Door Company on Angie's list and gave them a call. Doug came out within an hour of my call on a Sunday afternoon and did an outstanding job. Very clean, professional, and a fair price. Will definitely use his services again and recommend him to others.

I called Doug this morning and he came out a couple of hours later and fixed my garage door. Very happy with the responsiveness and services performed.

I called Doug and told him my issue. He said he would be out around 4 (within 2.hours of first contact). Doug showed up promptly at 4 and was very professional. He had my garage operating within 45 minutes. Thanks Doug.

Torsion spring broke, looked into replacing it myself but saw the reviews here for Doug. Within 1 1/2 hours of me calling him, he'd already been and left, having replaced the springs and also corrected the position of the door runner so that the door runs smoother than it ever has.

Called Independent Overhead Door and talked to Doug. I explained the problem and he said he needed to look at it and would be out in 30-45 minutes. He arrived in less than 30 minutes. He replaced bolts that had broken loose and strenthened the area around that area with a steel strip and additional bolts.He was finished in less than 45 minutes and only charged for a service call less a discount coupon that I downloaded from Angies List. There was no talk of replacing panels etc or any other major repairs. He knows his business and does it in a professional manner.

Our garage door spring broke this morning and Doug was out to fix it by 2:00pm. He was early to the appointment, cleaned up promptly, was courteous and professional. I was very pleased and I would use his services again.

I called a local advertised garage door company to come out and quote a repair of my main double garage door. The company told me that the door needed replacing. The new door would not match the second door. So they quoted for two new doors. Not happy with the quote, I found Independent Overhead Door’s reviews here on Angie’s List. I called and spoke with Doug. He came out the next day. Doug’s quote came under the original company. He then told me that he could fix the main door. I was happy to hear that. Doug showed up on time the next day and made the fix at a fraction of the cost for two new doors. He serviced both doors for the price. It is great to see that there are still people out there who have integrity and look out for your best interest. It was a pleasure to work with Doug and Independent Overhead Door Company. I will use them from now on.

Called Independent Overhead Doors from Angie's List. Spoke with Doug, the owner, and made an appointment for 9 a.m. the following morning. He showed up on time. He diagnosed the problem with the door--the springs that were put on it five or six years earlier (by a different company) were not the right size. He recommended a brace for the door and the right-sized spring for that particular door at what I thought was a very good price. It took about two hours to complete the job and the door works perfectly. I would definitely recommend his company and would certainly call him again if I need any other work done.

I called Doug at about 0945 and described to him what my problem was. He gave me an estimate over the phone and arrived at my house less than an hour later. When he arrived and saw what needed to be done, he told me it would take about half an hour. He was done in twenty minutes and you could not even tell there had been a problem with the door.

He was great as far as I am concerned. He came in and did a good job.

The service technician was prompt, polite, and extremely efficient. The price was reasonable for the service provided. I will definitely use this company again if the need arises

I called home on Tuesday afternoon from work and was advised by my wife that the garage door was stuck in the down position. When I got home I found the spring had broken and luckily no one was hurt or damage was done. I called a company I had a flyer on in the house and for an after hours call they wanted a small fortune. I decided to do an Angies list search and looked at the best rated companies. I decided to call Doug at Independent Overhead Door Co. since he had business hours listed weekdays 7am to 7am. After a short conversation and getting an estimate over the phone I felt more than comfortable in hiring him and setting an appointment for the very next day. Doug arrived a little earlier than the appointed time and was finished in less than 1/2 an hour. My wife and daughter had several questions for him which he did not hesitate to answer. Both said Doug was very professional and super polite. He cleaned up after himself and presented a bill for $10 less than the estimate, thanks to an Angies list coupon. There I no doubt that I would use this company again and will not hesitate to recommend him to others!

I called and spoke with someone regarding my broken garage door. The gentleman I spoke with immediately identified what happened as well as informed me what should have been done to prevent that from occuring. When he came out for a consultation, he showed me how my garage door panel split and what he could do to assure that doesnt happen again. He provided repair or replace options which proved that he wasnt just about making top dollars. Service was performed in less than 2 hours from receiving my consultation and I am very satisfied! There's nothing better than good customer service followed by a great job!

Excellent experience. Came and gave estimate promptly. Reasonable price. Showed up when promised. There was some shelving that we had not moved thinking that there was enough room to work around them for the 3rd garage door. When that proved to not be true, they installed 2 of the doors and came back another day after we took down the shelves and installed the 3rd door with no extra charges for the extra trip. Great folks to work with and we are very happy with the results!

I called him and he was there withing one hour. One look at my door opener and he said it was too old to buy parts (about 20 years.) He was able to replace it with a new one within another hour. I thought the price was very fair for an opener, two remote controls and a keyless entry. He stated that the springs and track were fine and didn't need repair. I was very satisfied and would use him again.

He came out the next day after I called to look at my 2 garage doors. He gave me the options and after I decided, was able to come the next day to do the work. He replaced 2 door openers and some springs. He was on time for each appointment. He was clean and completed the work in a few hours and was professional. I would recommend him and would have no problem using him again. He kept it simple and didn't try to sell me on anything other than what I needed and he got to the point with the work. I feel that he did a complete job from start to finish.

He showed up on time, asked if I had any issues with the door, and got to work. He listened to my concerns and then fixed a major vibration noise, existed since I installed the opener three years ago, by tightening the opener and its holding bolts. Greased and tightened the entire door, spring, etc. and was gone within 45 minutes. Very professional job.

He was very professional and courteous. He arrived half an hour early and completed the work in under 30 minutes.

He was great. I think he was $70 cheaper than the next lowest bid. He was prompt and did a good job. I have already hire him again.
