Seriously, don't look elsewhere,Doug and Independent Overhead Doors is your garage door guy for all time. Our garage is below our second story bedrooms, so ,there is a very small clearence between the garage door and the ceiling. Doug was able to install the opener like a true pro, it works great. He also installed a new torsion spring on my other garage door.The original springs were tearing up my sheetrock on one side of my garage.That door opens with ease now. He left room for a possible, opener to be installed in the future. He installed everything in a very efficent manner.Independent Overhead doors will continue to get my buisness, because of the great craftsmanship,efficiency, price, and professionalism.

Arrived very quickly and did a great job changing the springs and greased the other moving parts. Garage door opens quieter than before. He also helped me with our other garage door - the sensor was acting up and he fixed it, no extra charge. Very happy with the service.

From quote to completed job, this was a very professional experience. There was a delay on getting the door, but he was right on top of it and called me with updates. I never had to call to check status as he kept me updated. Install was performed in a timely manner by people who knew what they were doing. Very satisfied. I was looking to add a door to my garage so I could exit to my backyard without going around the side of my house around the a/c unit and thru the gate. I thought about a regular 36" door but had room so decided to add a 8' wide garage door. I got 3 quotes and decided to go with Independent Overhead Doors. The installer seemed like he knew what he was doing and even looked in the attic to check out the wall. Also Independent Overhead Doors could do the job that week at a reasonable price. The job went great and the installers did a great job. I am very happy with my new door. I am still in the process of painting the door jams and the dry wall inside. Painting was not included but that is some thing I can do, knocking down brick walls I leave to the pros. If you have a garage and want a door to your back yard give these guys a call.

Provider called the same day and scheduled for the next morning. He arrived promptly and performed the services quickly and professionally. He cleaned up and left the work space spic and span. We will definitely call again for any garage door issues.

Showed up on time, evaluated & answered my questions. Replaced exiting opener. Price was about what I was expecting.

He arrived right on time, started working on putting up the opener. He worked steadily, even in 102 degree heat! I had to run to the hardware store to get an extension cord for the opener, and by the time I got back, he had it almost completely done!

I spoke to the owner, Doug Holloway, on the phone. I asked for a free estimate. Doug came out and did a thorough check of my garage door, adjusted the spring tension, lubricated the rollers, and adjusted the travel and force on the garage door opener. I asked Doug about the condition of the rollers. They are very old, and I was prepared for an estimate, in the hundreds of dollars, to replace them. Doug said they did not need replacing, and were just fine. My total bill was only $45. I was thoroughly impressed with Doug. He was very honest and professional, and I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Too bad that I can't give a rating of A+++++. Doug Holloway has got to be one of the nicest persons who has ever come to my home to do work. He has a very humble attitude. He quoted me a price for 2 garage door openers with installation and that was the price that I paid. He did not try to upsell me on anything. He showed up and got right to work. He oiled my springs and made sure that everything was in great working order before he left. I would definitely use him again. In fact, I plan to use him to replace our springs sometime in the near future. It was such a pleasure doing business with him that I almost wish that I had some more garage doors for him to work on. I have already told family & friends about him.

He answered my call immediately, was at my house within 30 minutes, had the right parts on his truck and was through in about an hour. Response just doesn't get better than that. No hard sell, answered all my questions, very professional. I am an engineer and a DIYer and I thought about doing the work myself, but just ordering the springs was more complex than I expected. Plus, garage doors are not the safest thing to work on, especially by oneself. Doors are heavy, Many sharp sheet metal edges and places to get fingers hurt . Lots of stored energy in the springs makes them quite dangerous. Internet research convinced me that getting the right parts and doing the job safely is more complicated than one might initially think. I couldn't have bought the parts off Amazon for much less than his total charge. Plus, he warrants his work for two years. Honestly, I didn't even ask about the Angies discount because his price seemed more than fair. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat.

Very fast in their response, they came out the same morning I called them. Tech then drove back to the shop and got the materials need for the replacement unit. He finished within a few hours and actually knocked out a few of the dents in the garage door too!! Great job

I called Doug Holloway a little after 10PM Monday night. I felt it would be ok because he advertises 24 hour service on his website. He was polite and agreed to meet me the next morning to repair my broken spring. He showed up on time and was not upset that I was working on another part of the garage door when he arrived. I wanted to replace some sheetrock prior to his repair so I could make sure everything was in alignment and I would have no trouble. I determined it would be a good time to replace the rollers too. He was polite and offered to help remount the roller cage bracket and showed me how to easily replace the rollers. I replaced 4 and he went ahead and replaced the other 6. I was very impressed with his knowledge. He was very helpful and he did not try to sell me on anything additional. He only charged me $130 to replace the spring and $25 for a new set of nylon rollers with bushings. He also honored the $10 off Angies members list coupon so I felt the price was more than fair. Definitely the best price according to my research. I will definitely use Doug again and refer my friends.

Mr. Holloway was on time and got the job done. His timeliness and professionalism far exceeded my expectations. I know this job can take a couple of tiring, sweaty hours as a DYI job, it was very nice not having to worry about it. Mr. Holloway got the repair done in about 30 minutes or less. The garage door is operating again and my car is n longer trapped. This guy did a great job!

Mr. Holloway is a professional, takes care of business in efficient manner, and is very accommodating to the customer's desires. I am very pleased with Mr. Holloway's work and will use his services again.

The Independent Overhead Doors worker was really nice and did a great job. He's a pleasure to have around. He converted my 2-door garage to a one door garage. Anything he felt unsure about, he would call and find out. He had friend he could consult with. He also went over to my parents' house and he installed an outdoor key where you put in your number and the garage door opens for you. I also had one of those installed and I really like it. His price was cheaper than most companies.

Sent email 4 hrs ago and he was here assessed the job and installed and cleaned up already. Very refreshing, quick, professional and polite.

I moved into a new house and I had been having trouble with my garage door during the winter. The garage door would start to open in the morning and would then close. I would have to pull the lever to manually open the door. I ended up purchasing a coupon from a different company (NOT Independent) and they came out to do a tune-up. I told this other company about the problems I had been having with the door not opening and they ended up adjusting the motor and replaced the rollers with nylon ones. They also recommended that I change the spring(s) ASAP. He told me that the springs could break at any moment and that it could damage the garage door. This other company quoted me about $380 for parts & labor (before tax). I declined the service because I wanted to call around and get more estimates first. I called Independent Overhead Door last Thursday and he quoted me $130 for parts and labor. I'm not sure if that is for just one spring or two, but even if it is for just one spring, two would still only be about $260... compared to the $380+ the other company quoted me. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with Independent. They offered to come out the very next day (Friday) but I scheduled for Monday instead. It is now Monday and the owner was here on time and checked the springs and told me I didn't need to replace them. I felt bad that he drove out to my house and that he didn't even do anything, but I am very happy that he was honest with me. I will definitely use them again in the future for any repairs/tune-ups due to his honesty and integrity.

My husband took the trash out on Sunday night, upon trying to close the garage door the door derailed. We called Monday first thing in the morning and they were able to fit us on their schedule. Prompt to respond and quickly finished the job.

Excellent service on Saturday night I couldn't be happier

We purchased an Independent Overhead Door big deal to check out the garage door lifter in our new house. The service man was professional and punctual, and he cleaned up after his job was finished. He even replaced a burned out bulb in the garage light fixture. Our double garage door did not have an automatic stop, and after talking to the service man, we decided it was important to have one installed. We are very pleased with our purchase, and are happy we've never had occasion to see the emergency stop in action. We would certainly call Independent Overhead Doors again for any needed work.
