I hired Mark Blackburn to stain my cabin's decks and railings, along with a few other small repairs. I blocked 3 days on my calendar for him to do the work. On Tuesday, four days before the work was to begin, Mark confirmed that he would begin the work on Saturday. I emailed him on Wednesday about stain colors and never heard back from him. Saturday morning I texted Mark to see what time he was going to show up. He never responded. I waited awhile then called the man who referred him; that man contacted Mark. Mark called me and said he and his employee were working on another project; he would have to rearrange their schedule but someone would come out to begin some of the work that day. He also said that he would call me back in few minutes. 5-6 hours later Mark texted and said he would call me when he finished what he was doing. I never heard back from him. If he was never going to do the work, I wish he would notified me earlier. I lost 3 days of rental income during a busy season.
