Best experience ever in working with a contractor. John and his crew were prompt, professional and the work was meticulous. The price was fair and the quality of the work was outstanding. I highly recommend this contractor if you ever have a need for concrete work.

I had no idea of the cost of digging up an asphalt driveway and replacing it with concrete. They were prompt in coming to give an estimate, which is probably reasonable, but more than I wanted to spend on a rental house. They are professional and detailed with the estimate but that is the only contact I have had with them.

John was very professional and timely.

We have a very large deck of approximately 2400 sq feet. We had just moved into the house and the deck needed to be resealed and painted, but because of the deck size it was just to much for us to do. Mr Alguire promptly came out and gave us a reasonable quote and after we agreed to the price, the work was scheduled. Mr Alguire also honored the coupon that was on Angie's list. After setting the date for the start of the work Mr Alguire and his crew showed up on time and started the job. The job was completed on time and was awesome. Our deck looks great now. Mr Alguire also resealed our stamped concrete that is in the front of our house. Mr Alguire and his crew were very professional and answered any questions we had. We will use Mr Alguire again for our decking and concrete needs.

Very punctual and professional businessman. If Mr. Alguire was delayed he contacted me as far in advance as possible, letting me know he would be late and gave a new time when he would arrive. Very professional in his conduct of business, in fact, the most professional I have had to pleasure to deal with in many years. I wish more business owners had his ethics of professionalism. The driveway Alguire Construction installed is on a very steep grade. I could not be happier with the completed project. Most worrisome was the conjunction of the driveway entrance to the main road. It is very short and steep in this area and made worse with the road sloping into the driveway entrance. An improperly graded entrance would cause the end of my Crown Victoria to drag on the driveway. To insure I had proper clearance he had me test the grade several times to insure the cars rear end properly cleared the entrance. I cannot express how well the entrance was planned and executed, just saying excellent is not enough. After several months of use the driveway is holding up very well with no problems. I avoid immediate reviews because anything new is great, it?s only after use and weather do problems begin to occur. My biggest concern was extended periods of rain. There wasn?t any reason for concern. The ground is still settling from the extra weight (of concrete), but the stress fracture lines are handling the problem properly. Additional stress cuts were added to the large ?turn around? slab, which are decorative in their own way. I have not had any unwanted (but expected) cracking anywhere on the driveway. They may eventually appear, as this is typical of concrete, but the driveway is so well made I think it might not ever happen.

Based on previous reviews of Alguire Construction we called him for a quote on pouring an additional driveway and parking pad on our property. He came to the house and spent about 20 minutes measuring and asking questions about what we wanted. He emailed a price quote within 24 hours. The quote was within our budget so we signed the work order. A very rainy January kept him from starting the job until the ground dried enough, sometime around Groundhog Day. Owner, John Alguire, came in with a crew of two others to prepare the land -which was far from level - with fill and gravel. They then built the form so fast and so quietly, that I was surprised when I went outside and they were ready to leave for the day. The next day John returned with a crew of 5 and poured the driveway. They worked quickly and quietly but most importantly, they were meticulous in their efforts. The surface was smooth and uniform. John even placed some metal "footers" into the wet concrete so that I could come back later in the spring and build a carport over the pad. Overall, the experience was very positive. The driveway and parking pad look great and by John's design, very usable. We live on a VERY narrow street on a hillside, so it was very difficult to get all the heavy equipment in to do the work, yet John's crew did an amazing job without even angering my neighbors. No one was inconvenienced by noise or obstruction during the process. I highly recommend Alguire Construction and will not hesitate to use them again should a need arise.

John came out for the inspection/quote on time and e-mailed my quote within a day. We agreed on a day to start, he made it two days earlier than planned. Forms were set on the first day and concrete the next day. I'm very satisfied with the work and John's professionalism.

They showed up and formed out the patio. I had a change and they worked with me to make it happen. It was a great experience. They cleaned up the area when they were through and were a pleasure to work with.

We could not have been more pleased with John and his team. They were on time, very professional and really listened to all our needs and concerns for this project. I contacted the company, they came out, gave an estimate, and did exactly what they said they would.

John came to our home to make a proposal to repair damaged driveway. After a quick survey and measuements John left saying he would send a written proposal via Email. That same night the proposal was received and accepted. John responded with start day, weather permitting. The crew arrived as planned and immediately started work. Initial actions revealed an experienced crew, well organized, as each individual knew exactly his place and duties. John worked along as part of the team, and although alert to ongoing progress,little to no supervision was needed. The work flowed smoothely and attention to detail was paramount as all pitched in to perfect the final outcome. Every aspect of the job seemed to materialize at precisely the proper time. The concrete arrived and all were ready and with selected tools each performed his assigned part. Omitting the details I will say that this display of professional workers doing their best to achieve a flawless product was amazing. Never idle but always cleaning tools,moving between work areas and policing the work site contributed to completing the project on time. They jack-hammered out the old "bad" piece of driveway and put in a replacement. Also totally redid our back patio plus and addition...this was a major overhaul as we had them also dig and place a pipe to help with the drainage. They are very punctual, friendly and professional...we have used them before and definitely would again. We did not rate price as we are not really sure what someone else would have quoted us on the project...we knew we wanted a job done well, so only called and then used them.

John quickly responded (the same day) came out looked over the job, answered questions and sent an email proposal. When we were ready he set up a date and began the work. His crew prepared the project and then poured the slab the next day. The slab looks good and seems to drain well. The project was just finished and at this point we are very satisfied. I was very pleased with the professional and prompt response. It was great to work with John Alguire and I would recommend him and his company to others to consider.

The interaction went good with him. He has good responsiveness and he is good to talk to. We found a company that was a little better.

A crew of six plus the owner performed the work in a very professional manner to my complete satisfaction and cleaned up after themselves very well.. The owner did some additional work that was not included in our agreement upon which he had based his estimate, but we were not charged for it, which involved leveling the center dome on our .15 mile gravel driveway with his Bobcat.

John Alguire first came to the site of the new home we are building to figure a proposal on our quite long driveway, turn-around pad, and sidewalk from pad/driveway to front porch. He was prompt in keeping his appointment. Pricing was competitive with two other proposals I had obtained. He was the most clear on what, why, and how he would do things, and continually sought my input on my desires for the final product. He was super-accurate on the estimated amount of concrete needed, and in keeping every appointment. He personally gave oversight, and worked himself, on the job. Entire crew were great to work with. John was pleasant, professional, and did an extra-ordinarily good job with the entire job. I am super-pleased and would highly recommend him.

Like most projects, we were faced with some unexpected problems: The new pool deck area sloped differently from the rest of the pool decking. John and his crew sawed out the area and repoured to correct it.They then recaoted the section with the perma crete (nice look and wonderful feel under feet at swimming pools!) Later on, we found the recoated area did not exactly match the rest of the decking. John and company made two addtional trips out to our place to recoat, until the color was right. I also might add, this was during the high 90's degree weather. John did all this at not additional charge and simply to "stand behind his work"! I would highly reccomend Alguire Constrction for their quality, specialized work done in a very professional manner.

I have used John Alguire for all many concrete needs over the last 5 years. His prices are in line with other estimates and his work has always been excellent. He has a crew that really seems to know what they are doing, and the work area is always cleaned up when they are finished.
