On July 30, 2013 I ordered flowers for my mother-in-law's retirement from fromyouflowers.com. Her last day at work was July 31, 2014. I paid an extra $4.99 to have them delivered before 10:00 a.m. due to the fact her shift ended at 12:00 noon, so I wanted to make sure she would be there to pick them up and to have the surprise of her life because in about 30 years of service, she had never had flowers delivered to her job. The flowers arrived on time the next day and she was happy that her children had thought enough to send flowers. The following day I was over to her home and saw the flowers we had purchased for her. The arrangement looked nothing like what I had ordered online. I contacted fromyouflowers and we exchanged several emails coming to the conclusion that they would refund me 30% of what I had paid for the flowers along with a redelivery (keep in mind we're 3 days out and we're talking flowers that die). The next day I contacted the local florist that had delivered the wrong arrangement. They were very apologetic at first, but wouldn't take responsibility for delivering the wrong arrangement. They claimed that fromyouflowers didn't send them a picture and they were just going by the description given on paper, which is crazy to me. They also didn't go by the description given either because the woman read the description to me and it listed several flowers, but it also described the pot, which was to be a yellow cache flower pot. The flowers arrived in a pink tin bucket. So I was informed by the lady at the florist shop that they were out of yellow flowers (yes they call themself a florist and they're out of yellow flowers). So we came to an agreement of what to redeliver. Shortly after our conversation I had a conversation with the delivery man who's trying to redeliver the new arrangement. He wants to pick up the old arrangment. I told him no, that it was a "redelivery" not a "replacement". Well he became angry and said I would have to take that up with the manager, so he refused to deliver the flowers. I contacted the local florist yet again and spoke with the same person as before, I believe her name was Taylor. She of course is not as nice this time and informed me that that was their policy to pick up the old. I explained to her that it was their mistake and to ask for the old arrangement was adding insult to injury. She said I would have to take it up with her manager, which I believe her name was Tracy. So she put me on hold to wait for Tracy. I was on hold approximately 10 minutes when I decided to stay on hold and call back on a different phone and asked the receptionist (or whoever answered the phone) to speak directly with Tracy. She of course answered within a couple of minutes. Keep in mind she never answered the other line I was still holding on. I informed her that she never picked up the line I was still holding on and gave a very lame apology when caught. So I went through the situation with Tracy. She had a very gruff tone the whole time I was speaking with her and refused to budge on the pick up issue. But not only did she refuse to agree with the customer since it was their fault, she blamed fromyouflowers claiming they did their job to the best of their ability without a picture. I told her it was crazy to fill an order without a picture of what the customer wanted and had ordered. She didn't see it that way and continued to blame fromyouflowers and then when that didn't work she proceeded to blame me. She said it was my fault for sitting at my desk in front of a computer and ordering from a place like fromyouflowers instead of ordering from my local florist in the first place. I was blown away. She was so unprofessional it just blew my mine. She ended up hanging up on me. The flowers were redelivered on the following day (it's now Saturday, 8/3/13), the new arrangement looked like they just threw something together to say they had filled the order. I had instructed her that I wanted a flower pot and not a basket. The flowers arrived in a basket with about 4 sunflowers and some ivy at the bottom and that's what I paid $88.00 for. When the delivery guy delivered the redelivery he told my mother in law she could keep the original arrangement. Guess they finally figured out that flowers die after going around and around for 4 days. Needless to say I will not be using fromyouflowers.com or Nashville Florist and Home Decor a Smith and Rogers Company ever again.
Description of Work: The Nashville Florist and Home Decor a Smith and Rogers Company was the chosen local florist with From You Flowers.com. They were supposed to deliver a yellow arrangement inside a flower pot, but delivered an inferior flower instead inside a pink bucket. Thinking the sender wouldn't see the arrangement because it was ordered online.
