Everything went smooth. Morton's was prompt, called ahead, called to confirm everyone showed up, were courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. They even changed how the plumbing looked to make it more aesthetically pleasing since we told them we wanted the pipes visible because we were going for more of an industrial look.

DO NOT USE MORTON PLUMBING! The wouldn't quote me a price upfront but sent a plumber onsite to analyze the problem and preyed on my vulnerability once he was there. In the end, they charged me $450 to install a $112 faucet which took less than one hour!!!! When I requested a modest 10% discount, he told me I wasn't professional enough, otherwise, he would have given it to me - he actually emailed this to me in writing!

They never followed through even with a quote. I'm guessing this would have been a $5000 job at a minimum for them and they never followed through.
Description of Work
I had an entire house of work which would have been a great job for them. I had to call several times to try to get the quote, but never did. I was told, "he's working on it". Never got a response and it's been months. I am not trying to cut them up buy my time was wasted. Just save people time and say you're not interested. Owners are busy, too, not just contractors.

I think they did charge too much, I was expecting around $100. I won't be using them again.

The plumber who came actually had the part on the truck. It was a very easy change out. I expected it to be a long & involved bit of work, but Morton's did not tell me what was involved. I agreed to the amount with their never discussing with me the extent of the work. All plumbers I have worked with before explain what is involved, and we agree to a fair price. I assumed that this plumber company was fair about the price, but without the information I needed to make that decision, I made a wrong decision to hire them. When I called to discuss it, Jimmy Morton was not fair about it, and was unprofessional. He denigrated other plumbers; the work that was done took less than a half an hour, maybe even 20 minutes. I do not know how well the shower works yet, because no one is using it at the moment. I paid way too much for the work, and would never hire again.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Charges were unreasonable and excessive for services rendered. We thought it was a complicated repair. It was utterly simple & took less than 1/2 hour. But nothing was explained about how difficult/simple repair would be. Owner refused to adjust amount, giving umpteen excuses. Morton charged highest repair charge on the scale, and seemed to enjoy rooking us. When speaking to him, he (1) disparaged the services, accreditation, and experience of other, good plumbers; and ( 2) Was retaliatory: tacked another charge onto the bill. Morton is NOT professional; will rook you by charging the highest rate he possibly can, and thus, lacks character. Do not go to Morton.

Overall, I liked working with Morton. They were very thorough and explained everything they were doing. They got everything done in one day, which we appreciated given the length of the list of things that needed done. When I inspected the work after they were finished, I found a small leak on one of the faucet installs, and they were very quick to fix it and verify that it was not leaking before leaving. We have not had any problems since the date of service with any of the work they did. The quote process was a little lengthy - I think Morton could have been quicker in getting back to me with an estimated price for the work that they were going to do. They were quick to come out and go through the list we got from our home inspection, but it took a while to hear back about how much it would cost.

I entered the garage to drive to work and found water everywhere. It was coming from the upper water heater tank. The tank is over thirty years old, so instead of opting to fix and patch it, I bought a new one. Morton came right away to give me a quote so that I would not be without hot water overnight. Though the first technician did not come back to install, two others arrived around 1 to install the new WH. Very happy with the promptness of the scheduling and appreciative to have them work me in between other scheduled appointments. Would call Morton Plumbing again!

My experience with Morton Plumbing for HVAC work left me questioning their skills and integrity. On Monday evening of 9/8 ? I noticed my AC was no longer cooling the house. Morton?s was recommended by several of my neighbors. In the past, I had always used Hiller. The Morton team was very accommodating to fit me in to their schedule and came out later in the day on Tuesday 9/9 to diagnose the issue. I was impressed with their willingness to get help to me as soon as they were able. The two technicians reviewed my AC unit outside and in the attic. The unit was frozen over and they put the heat on to thaw out the unit. I was informed by one of the technicians that the coil has several bad leaks and was rusted. The options were to try to fix the leak and add the necessary Freon to the unit (an estimated cost of 500.00) the other option was a new coil (the recommended path). The team left and I awaited the estimate from Morton?s. The estimate came in Tuesday night ? and I had a decision ? to pay for a new coil or for 600.00 more a new unit. I opted for a new unit and the office would contact me on Wednesday to schedule. The temperatures were cooling down outside and the humidity was dropping during this time period. I decided to get a second opinion from the ask an expert service (Just Answers). I had used them previously for other services ? legal, veterinarian and car trouble. The HVAC expert said, the cost to repair the leak was high and that I should try that route first. He also asked me the last time I changed my filters. Honestly, I thought, I cannot remember. Tuesday evening I changed my filters (they were solid ? no air flow was going through the filters what so ever.) The unit on Wednesday ? cooled my place without issue ? however, I did keep it at 74 (my usual temp is 69) but I did not want to tax the unit if it was failing per Morton?s assessment. Wednesday the unit was working and cooling without issue (again was it the unit performing or the air temp outside better?) On Thursday ? the unit was still working ? so I decided to cancel the install of the new unit on Friday 9/12). When I called to cancel ? I was spoken to in an accusatory tone and that I was making a huge mistake! That Morton?s prices are the best and they do not try to sell a unit. I was told by Mr. Morton ? I would be lucky if my unit lasted another week. I called another group out to review my issue ? as all day the unit was cooling. The 2nd group came out ? and assessed the situation. Yes, I do have minor leaks in the attic and there is rust around the base of the coils (I was shown pictures by the technician so I did not need to venture up to the attic.) He then said, he would check the pressure of the outside unit. The results ? the pressure was within range, no Freon was needed at all. He asked when I changed my filters. I informed him on Tuesday evening ? 2 days prior. His diagnosis ? the filters were not allowing the needed airflow ? thus the unit froze up. No Freon is needed as the pressures were fine ? no unit nor coil was needed at all. I would not recommend Morton?s group for HVAC repair. The technicians did not even check the filters. The filters were solid with dust, that was caked on and more than ½ an inch thick. I cannot trust their assessments going forward as I would question any diagnosis of an issue. I am not leery to use them for plumbing work as well. I called on Friday 9/12 to provide the feedback to Mr. Morton ? however, he was unavailable but would be calling me to discuss. Now, over a week has passed and I have not had any additional contact from the group. I will not and cannot recommend Morton?s Plumbing as their work is lacking in expertise and trustworthiness with this scenario.

I was told not to respond, every thing said is not true. I called and ask her th please be truthful and she refused. 1. No money was exchange. We was not even paid the dispatch fee. Not the $2300. That was stated. 2. At no time was you told how long the unit will last. We do not use scare tactics. There is no way anyone can say how long a unit will last. I ask you to wait a week before anything was done. We know it is leaking refrigerant and can not say how long it will stay charged. 3. Yes your filter is / was stopped up that will repair the immediate situation. It is still leaking refrigerant. 4. The second opinion said the same thing we did. The unit is leaking. We are a small repair shop and I hold all employees to the highest standard. At no time do we try to sell products that are not needed. We have been in business over 28 years, in that time I can not remember another customer questing our integrity. In saying this I have little experience in handling a unhappy customer.

After an inspection of my dishwasher by Mr Morton's son, it was determined that it needed a new seal (?) to prevent the water from leaking onto the floor. The repairman said he'd need to check on the part and let me know how much it would be so I can decide whether or not I want to repair it or replace it (depending on how the costs compared). I didn't hear from him before the weekend so I called after the weekend to find out the cost - left a message with a lady there at the office to have Mr Morton return my call. Another several days go by - no call - so I called and left another message. You can see where this routine is headed. I eventually got frustrated enough to drive to their office so they'd see my face and realize I'm more than just "this guy who keeps calling" and I was seriously needing someone to follow up with this. That was my final attempt with this business. I really wish I was one of the people who could've given a rave review to this company. We seemed to start off on a great foot until it was time to follow-up with me on cost & planning a repair.

I called to see if someone could come look at a plumbing issue with my washing machine and when I told her where we lived...Joelton. She pffff'd and said..."we don't service that area, we only service mcdonalds out there." She was overall just rude!!! And apparently you do service this area if you service mcdonalds.

Job took longer than expected, but the invoice reflected the original quote. Plumbers were very courteous, quiet and professional.

Our A/C unit stopped working before the end of cooling season. It would not produce cold or cool air and the air flow was not very strong. We had Morton do some minor plumbing work for us in the Bathroom a while back and had excellent results. A friend told me they worked on her A/C in the late spring and they did the job quick and at reasonable rate so we called them to look at our A/C unit. They called to let us know the Tech was on the way and he arrived a little before he was scheduled. The Tech looked over the air handler and the compressor unit and in less then 15 minutes had explained and showed us what the problems were. He checked his truck to be sure he had the parts on hand and gave us a estimate for the required work. We were pleased with the amount and authorized the work. Within 15 minutes he had the unit blowing colder air then it had all year. Then he told us he was not finished and needed to clean the Air Handler coils and it would increase the air flow more. After about 25 minutes working on the Air handler he turned the unit back on and he was correct about it increasing the air flow as well. He cleaned up after himself, thanked us for choosing Morton to service our A/C, told us any issues to call the office and someone would be out to take care of us, and wished us a good day and left. Other then our A/C working and better then it has in some time you would never know he was here. I am so pleased I have recommended Morton to 3 of my neighbors and I wanted to share my experience online as well. I have had Morton perform both plumbing and A/C-Heating work for me and I have been pleasantly surprised by their professionalism, courtesy, and affordability.

Replaced Condenser Compressor Starter Capacitor and Relay, Cleaned the Air Handler Coil and Resealed Duct Work to stop Air Leaks just above the Air Handler where it connects to the duct work that goes to the vents.

Everything went well. The running toilet required a callback, which they didn't charge for, and they handled all three issues quickly and professionally. The only challenge I would say is that we couldn't a narrow window for the day they were coming, however they provide you plenty of notice when they are on their way.
Description of Work
We had some emergency work at our home and at a rental property, primarily because we had tried other plumbers and they failed permanently fix the problem. Problems were: running toilet, outside water spigot that had burst, and kitchen sink that continuously leaked.

Mortons bid was very competitive and they did quality work. Jimmy was on site at the beginning and end of the job. They also did a good job putting the lawn back together and reseeding after they were finished installing the line. Would use them again for a major plumbing Recommended.

Sewer backed up in basement. Nice. I borrowed a bud's 75' powered snake to clean myself. After an hour of pulling and such, I broke the snake inside the pipe. I called the office around 10 am. Josh and Sim were at my house by 1pm. Both good guys. Younger but professional. Took a look and gave me the price. They cleaned out the blockage with the "walk behind" power snake. Then they whipped out the camera to be sure all was good. Got to see that my sewer line from the front of the house out is PVC (vs. cast). We still had that broken snake in the line. Josh got out his closet auger (I call a pole auger...whatever) and tried to fish it out. Then he ruined his equipment by spreading out the spring on the end to create a hook to catch the broken snake. He got it out. Very cool. No additional charge. Overall I am very happy with this company and technicians, and I will not hesitate to call them again.
