I got them off of Angie's List. I have been very satisfied. They are trustworthy and have stopped me from getting repairs that I don't need. They take care of my care as soon as possible and they are nice people. They are very reliable and they don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. They sent someone to pick me up and drive me home, which was important to me.

I went in with my Tahoe with brakes that would squeal when not engaged. PK had my vehicle assessed and came back with a need of replacing brake pads and rotors - which was not surprising. Great communication with me throughout the day when diagnosis was given and work was done. Check-in/out area separate from garage, which is nice, clean. And since that time, have already received email and text - so nice to have a garage that keeps in communication with you even after the service is performed. Price was reasonable, and at no time did I feel I was being tricked into spending more money. Will definitely use PK/Lawson & Sons again, I actually enjoyed the experience and feel comforted that I can work with these guys again in the future.

Nice guys, easy to work with. Gave me choices on whether to replace brake pads and air filter. He said they "weren't that bad and could probably wait until the next oil change, but they will need to be done at some point..." I appreciate him giving me choices and not trying to alarm me into buying unnecessary things. They let me use my AL coupon for oil change and also applied my AAA discount, so I think they were generous with me. I thought they would only apply one discount per visit. I got a lot done to my car, but they are not cheap. You get what you pay for and I believe they were honest and fair.

After they did the work, i saw that the hood had been bowed out, maybe by a tool. They did the right thing and paid for a body shop adjusted it the best they could. We have used since.

PK Kelly at Lawson was able to diagnose and fix a persistent problem that two other service centers had be unable to solve He was courteous, responsive, kept me unpdated on progress, and, bottom line, was able to fix the problem Essential issue was with an injector that was malfunctioning and low fuel pressure. While two other places had identified an issue with the same injector, neither identified the fule pressure issue and neither solved the problem PK consulted me on each additinal step of investigation, clearly outling the estimated costs, the value of additional exploratory work (had to take off the upper intake to see injectors) and what the options would be. Additionally, once an injector assebly set was installed, during testing the new part failed. PK did not charge to open the engine back up and replace the faulty part. While the process took a day or so longer than anticipated at the outset, this was due to the step by step diagnosis, a mechanic being out unexpectedly and our decision to wait a day so the same technition could finish the job, and waiting for parts from out of town. The total cost of the job was considerably more than I'd hoped by the time the several probems were fixed, but the cost was not more than the estimate at each stage. And if I'd brought the vehicle to Lawson's in the first place I'd have saved a lot of money that probaly did not need to be spent. Overall the service was excellent, the technical diangoics was handled expertly, the work was done properly and I am satisfied wtih the result and relieved the problem was finally solved. I'd go back to Lawson without hesitation.

I recently took my van into another mechanic to have the timing belt changed out. While they were performing that work they noticed that the boot on the Rack and Pinion was torn and was leaking. Due to the estimate that this other mechanic gave me (approximately $1100) and because this car was a relatively new purchase from CarMax I thought it would be smart to get a second opinion. After reviewing a few options on Angie's List I decided to visit Lawson and Son Auto Repair. When I called to make an appointment they were able to get me in the next day. Despite the fact that I was about 30 minutes late, when I did manage to get there, they wasted no time taking my van back. After about 5 minutes they called me back and let me see exactly what was wrong to the Rack and Pinion. It was great to actually see the issue and have a discussion about it beside blindly taking the advice of a faceless mechanic. While the boot was torn, the owner stated that the work wasn't a necessity and I could hold off for the time being. He also stated that if it was his car that he wouldn't complete the work at this time and gave me some key points to look for in case the rack and pinion became a problem down the road. Ultimately I decided to hold off on the auto work until the timing is better. They also took a look at the sliding door that was sticking. It was determined that it was sticking due to a minor accident that happened a few months ago. They greased it up and the door will be fixed when I have the body repair completed next week at the body shop. Overall, it was one of the most positive experiences I have had at a mechanic. Honest, fair, fast, and genuine. While I am not going to fix the rack and pinion yet, when the time comes to have that work done and any other work done for that matter, I will have it done at Lawson and Son Auto shop.

I used the online appointment request on his website and I'm not sure he got every email, because I had to follow up with a phone call after waiting a couple of days to hear back. PK told me about his current workload and we worked out a day that week when we could drop the car off in the morning. As promised, he was able to look at it that day and contacted me as soon as he had a clear diagnosis and quote. He had to order some parts from across town, but still finished the work same-day. As I mentioned above, we returned to the shop a couple of times for different issues and each visit was great.

They discovered that the Fuel Pump installed by a Craig's list installer was not put on right and that fumes were escaping. They not only fixed the problem but they took the car to the Emissions State location and got the certificate so we could renew our license. Great Customer Service.

It was a very pleasant experience. The staff was kind and helpful.

I needed to get my brakes done on my Lincoln Navigator. I called Lawson's and spoke to the guy and he was very stright forward and spoke like I was someone that he had worked with in the past. I wasn't treated like a burden but as an aquaintence. Took the truck in and they did the brake job, front and rear. He had offered to minimize the cost by breaking down the components and telling me which were critical and which could probably be held off. I chose to go ahead with all components but it was helpful to have options. Tey promised my truck back to me by a certain time and it was ready as promised.

We were in Nashville getting my son settled into college, when my daughter (who is also going to school in Nashville) informed me that her car was "making funny noises." We needed a barke job done quickly as we would be flying home soon and Lawson and Son was able to get us in on short notice. We left the car there for inspection and they called us to report what we already suspected, that the car would need to have both the discs replaced and the rotors repaired. That's an expensive job anywhere, so, over $300 later the car worked as it's supposed to. The job was finished on time with no additional unexpected expenses. The staff are friendly and easy going, and had car ready when they said they would. I would use their services again .

they did an awesome job! It was about 11:00am when I got the car to them and they were finished by about 2:00. I was very pleased with the work, the price, and the attitude. I have brought my cars to PK before and I will again. I don't know much about cars and have always felt I was treated fairly and that my lack of knowledge was not seen as an opportunity to add unnecessary work or parts to the repairs. I would recommend them and have recommended them to my sister and niece who have had equally positive experiences.

I recommend them to everyone. They are incredibly caring and helpful. Once, I was stranded 2,000 miles away and called as I wasn't sure what to do. They told me they would get in touch with someone near me so that my issues would be fixed. I also was a little lost without the services when one of the guys headed to Iraq for two years. I am thrilled to have their services.

Lawson and Son was great! I took my car in on a Monday morning, and they said they could work on it the next morning. Before I left, they checked my engine codes to make sure it was safe to drive, which it was. I took the car back Tuesday morning. They didn't have a shuttle service or anything like that, so I had to call a cab to take me to work, which was annoying. I asked them to call me with a quote before they did any work, and they did. They were very patient while I tried to work out my warranty. They stayed open a few minutes late while I battled through traffic to pick up my car. Half of my bill was labor costs, but isn't that how it is at every car place?

Everyone I encountered was very nice and reasonable. They were willing to explain everything they were doing in detail and called to ask my permission before every service. I highly recommend these guys. Very professional, nice, and knowledgeable individuals.

We?ve been using them for 12-15 years. They are honest and don't do things that don't need to be done. They are personable and they know who we are. They take an interest in our cars and help us decide what cars to get when we are buying new cars for our kids. They are all around helpful, honest and good people. We would definitely recommend them. We?ve used them this long so we are not going to change.

They are very good. I was very impressed. I hear good things about them from other people. I would definitely recommend them. They are very small, so they give you a lot of attention when you get in there. Their level of knowledge and skill is extreme. They knew things that other places didn't. They did the work for a very good price.

P.K. and all the mechanics at Lawson's are honest and very good at their job. We will not buy a car if it can't be serviced by Lawson's. They are personable and reasonable with their cost.

You can call to schedule an appointment or just walk in. The technicians do a good job and they get done pretty fast. I think everyone is nice and provide good customer service.
