Requested mainly to remove antenna from roof. Missed communications, unable to locate my address. The couple did not seem confident to perform the task citing risk factors. Thus, they removed other items for their minimum charge of $95.00. I was not pleased with their expertise.

I try to give a reasonable price range on the phone but sometimes the items are bigger and there are more items than what was described to me on the phone.That is why the final price is not determined until we see the items. I try to be up front about prices on the phone as much as I can because I do not want to waste a customers time and have us come out and not be able to agree on price. With most of my competitors you are reaching their call centers and there is no comitment on price and they can not answer many of your questions and then the guy comes out and the price is way higher than what you thought. When you call me you get the owner not a call center."
The day of the pick-up, I got a courtesy call to let me know that the truck was on its way. Arrival was on time, if not slightly early. First, the two Junk Genius staff surveyed the items to be hauled, in order to give me a firm price. Dana's phone estimate had been roughly $200. The day-of price was $300, although I believe that was reasonable, since I had added some large, heavy items in. This included a $25 discount for Angie's List members.
The items that were removed included: a love seat, bookshelves, old humidifier units. an old crib, wrought-iron doors, electronics, lamps.
I appreciate the ease of scheduling, the on-time arrival, the efficiency of the work, and the fact that the physical hauling (including items in the attic) was included. My two pieces of feedback are: (1) please make a greater effort not to bump into the front door while taking items out (no damage was done, but there did not seem to be attention paid to avoiding it); (2) this will sound hokey, but remember to say please and thank you to your customer. I know that the bottom line is that the work was done as promised, and I appreciate that. I remember reading other reviews that remarked on the politeness of the staff, and I felt that aspect could have been a bit stronger. It makes a difference in the experience.
On the whole, I would definitely use Junk Genius again.

The representative called before arriving and indeed arrived on time. He was very professional and helpful. There was no increase in the estimate. Very refreshing. We will definitely use Junk Genius again and highly recommend them to anyone for hauling away items no longer wanted.

I had 10 + years of stuff from attic to storage unit that I was anxious to get rid of. Having someone come and get it all was an
enormous relief...... so I was happy with this service. Their pricing is based on what can be loaded on their truck and luckily I didn't have enough junk to go over the coupon amount. Very large items such as appliances would cost more (I'm assuming)

Dana and his helper arrived on time, and gave a very fair price. I had 2 rooms of junk that I needed to have hauled off.It only took about 2 hours, for them to complete the job.Dana is vey personable, and seems to be a nice guy.There were things on a cocktail table, that I did not wanted to be moved, namely pictures, in frames of, my deceased relatives, and baby pictures of my children, Later as I was straigtening things up, I noticed that my pictures were gone.I am heart broken over the lost, as i can never replace them.As i was in and out of the rooms, my advice to others, who use his service, is to stay and watch, what is going out.
"I do understand the customer's loss of pictures. I wish there was a way to get them back and I am truly sorry they were discarded.. They were near a pile of items she wanted removed and I guess we took them as well. We try to make sure that only the things the client wants removed are removed.. In this case there is just nothing more I could do.. I am truly sorry."
