6th Man Movers

They were awesome. Very professional company. Easy to schedule the estimate and then schedule the move. The pre-packing was a big help. Our crew the day of the move was awesome. I couldn't believe how efficiently they got everything moved including some tough stuff (2 guys lifting a piano sideways off front steps using straps!). Everything was moved quickly without any damage to our stuff or the houses. Will definitely call them in the future!

Excellent company, very responsive to calls and emails. They sent an estimator to the home when I couldn't get the online estimate right and he made a very accurate recommendation for how I should schedule the move. 6th Man send 5 people and two trucks to the house just after 8:30 in the morning and they worked non-stop until late in the afternoon, barely taking a break to eat pizza. They took very good care of our furniture and antiques, and there were only a few minor scratches on the walls, which was amazing, considering the bulky pieces they had to maneuver through tight doorways. Despite large fragile items, narrow entryways, and lots and lots of stairs, they managed to move almost everything that I had planned for the two day move on the first day. As a result, I was able to use 6th Man to move all the smaller items on the second day that I had anticipated I would have to move myself. This saved me 4 of 5 days of work. All this and the total cost with Angie's list coupon was just over $2500. I will definitely hire 6th man again when we move to Bowling Green.

Kyle and Chris arrived at the appointed time and we showed them the house and places where items would be placed. We asked if Kyle would position the truck in the driveway, which is steep and difficult to maneuver on. He did that expertly and they started to unload the contents of the truck. They worked over two hours in steady rain, maintaining a positive attitude and displaying plenty of energy and enthusiasm for the job. The last item in the truck was a very heavy sofa-bed which we hoped to have placed in a room upstairs. To get it into the room, Kyle and Chris had to negotiate a narrow staircase with sharp angles and a small entrance. They moved the couch (which had caused movers on previous occasions a lot of trouble) smoothly, efficiently and expertly, getting it into the room and positioning it where we wanted it. We moved a number of times in 22 years of military service and a few times since that service ended. We've used 6th Man Movers on three occasions and have been very pleased every time. I wish we'd had these folks (and Mustard Seed Movers in San Antonio, TX) on every move. These guys are great!

Movers often make people uncomfortable. Over the years and many moves, movers and their companies always seem vaguely larcenous even when they have not done anything to give you that impression. So I wasn't thrilled when I had to do a whole house furniture move from one suburb of Nashville to another. When I found 6th Man Movers, I just said, what the heck I will give them a try -- her is what I found. This is turned out to be the first mover I have worked with where I was sure of a few very important things: 1. I would get a call back, even I just wanted to ask the time and temperature... 2.Things would happen when they say they will, and if they don't I will get a call from them... 3. They would treat my every possession as if it was considerably more valuable than even I thought it was. This is the most professional and totally customer oriented moving company that I have ever worked with. Pricing was delivered with planned manifests so we could make sure everything was accounted for. Scheduling was easy and done at our convenience. Communication in this part of the process was constant as our needs shifted -- they stayed right with us and the price was always right. The move itself went off without a hitch and the crew was the most professional moving crew I have ever worked with. They were speedy, careful and made me feel comfortable through and through as they handled stuff that had been in our family for 150 years. I avoid mentioning names because every person involved in my move gave me superlative service but to highlight their class, each member of the crew introduced themselves to us before they started working. More of that personal touch that is a simple but priceless way they inspire confidence in their work. Cable Company, Telephone Company, Internet Service Provider, Car dealership -- you all need to line up and talk to these young men, they now how to treat their customers with respect and thoughtfulness and whats's more - they actually do what they say! If I have to have so little as a chair and a table moved I would want the folks at 6th man to handle it. I don't want to gush so much that people will think I own stock in their company but I couldn't recommend a single mover who every moved anything for me until I met these guys. Use them, I assure you that you won't be sorry. We need more companies in the world like theirs!

From the moment I contacted 6th Man via phone, the conversation was very professional and follow up calls and email confirmation, I knew I'd chosen the right company. The movers showed up on time, we did a walk through and they looked at all pieces of my furniture that I had tagged to be moved. I had a special request about my china cabinet that the top had to be separated from the bottom due to a furniture refinisher painted both pieces together. The mover painstakingly separated with a razor blade and didn't chip one flake of paint. They wrapped and carried each and every piece with so much care. It rained the entire day, not one drop of rain was on my furniture. Joshua and John were my movers. I highly recommend this company and this team. When our new home is finished we will definitely use them again to move.

Fantastic! I purchased a large china cabinet at a local antique mall and needed to hire a company to deliver it for me. I called around to a few moving companies, but my request for moving just one piece of furniture was not something most companies could not accommodate. I called 6th Man Movers and talked to Jacob. He said moving the item was no problem (Yay!) and provided a flat rate quote for picking up the cabinet from the antique mall and delivering it to my house. To my amazement, they were able to complete the delivery the next day. On delivery day the movers called when they arrived at the store to load the cabinet and arrived at my house about an hour later. I was SO impressed with the care they took with transporting the furniture. The cabinet had two pieces. Each piece was carefully wrapped with moving pads that were secured with tape. They moved the cabinet into the dining room, set it up, and even helped me move the dining room table as I eyeballed the placement of everything in the room. The movers were careful to protect the floors while moving the furniture -more careful than I am! The movers were friendly, polite, and so patient. I also learned that you can hire them by the hour to move furniture around the house, which would be a great help for rearranging projects. I enjoy shopping at antique/junk/secondhand stores and I am thrilled to find a company that can move large items for me. As we continue to furnish our house, I am sure we will be calling 6th Man Movers again.

Zack, Charlie, and Chris we're all good workers. They worked very hard. Zack was in charged and unfortunately was not very detail orientated. My poor rating of this company is directed at management only. They did not set large furniture items in place first, and had to move things more than once. They forgot items and had to make unnecessary trips back and forth I had some large very expensive cherry book cases that they dis- assembled. i was not closely supervising them and they left not having finished the job of putting all of the support brackets in for the shelves and re-assembling them. I have lost or missing support brackets and will not be able to finish the job. When they packed they marked some of the boxes and left some unmarked. I purchased wardrobe boxes from them for my clothing. The clothes were hung and should have been unwrinkled, but they jammed other things in the bottom of the wardrobe boxes and it was difficult getting the clothes out of the boxes. They shrink wrapped all of the bedroom dressers and chest of drawers as well as filing cabinets. They removed most, but not all of the shrink wrap after setting items in place. Before wrapping the dresser they jammed other items in the top drawer and when i tried to open it they got caught and I had to jam my fingers in to try and loosen the items. I now have bruised fingers. I feel that most of the problems that I experienced could have been avoided if company management would have done a better job of training their people.

The team from 6th Man Movers helped us move into our new home. We did the packing and moving of smaller items and worked with 6th Man Movers to move all the furniture (i.e., the heavy stuff!). The team showed up promptly, with cheerful smiles and lots of energy. The guys carefully wrapped all pieces, loaded them up and delivered/unpacked everything in just a few hours. It was fantastic! I'd recommend 6th Man Movers to anyone looking for some help in a move?big or small.

I spent about $350. They were worth every penny because they were fantastic. We had everything packed already. Everything was perfect and nothing was broken.

They showed up a few minutes late due to traffic but called to let me know. They arrived, we went through the rooms, and they successfully moved nearly all of the requested items to the new location (their truck was just a touch too small but they packed it extremely well). Only one or two things got minor dings on them, which I expect on any move, and they worked hard and were very polite. The best recommendation I can give is that we will be using them again soon.

After rescheduling several times because of my closing, 6 man movers did a good job. The guys called before they came and they were on time. They worked hard and finished the move in a timely manner. I would use them again.

First of all, To Eric: Sorry it took so long to post this ; ) Now, on to my review. We've only moved 1 other time before( 32 yrs ago) and we did that move, all by ourselves. But after 3 decades, things add up ! Therefore, we had a good size move from an old circa1910 house of about 1960 sq ft , with four adults living there. So we truly needed some pros to help us move. We checked with OTHER moving agencies, and simply didn't like the others prices, other customers feed back, or the way we were treated. Then we met Eric and his 6th Man Movers :D These guys are AWESOME! They do a job that is so well planned, and you best be on the same page. I say that because if you don't explain just how you want it, or you don't set aside the items you immediately need later, they will come through like a small tornado and pack it up, quickly... ...AND SO WELL, you'll wonder where everything went ( it was sitting there just a min ago) until you find it in your new home. ( Your set of pocket books, your C-Pap machine,...stuff like that we should have set aside, and personally took with us, so we could find it sooner. Lesson learned.) They even boxed up our undone pile of books/magazines, that we left scattered on the floor... ...a synchronized tornado! Indeed ; ) They helped us pack, carefully wrapping all the dishes, nick-nacks, and other delicate items. Even so, we did have a couple of bowls to break in transit, but it wasn't a big deal. We're not so materialistic to get upset about 2/ $0.50 bowls. Besides, the most precious things we packed ourselves, and moved, ourselves. It's just common sense. No body is perfect and stuff happens, and we just didn't want to make a problem come up that was unnecessary for everyone involved! With the help these young men bring.. WOW...all you have to do is watch in amazement , as they move all of your belongings, like clock work . The price was good, and it would have been even better IF WE had packed more of our own items, but we simply didnt have the time or the energy ( We closed on BOTH the house that we sold, AND the house that we bought. So we were very pressed for time) Eric's crew were on time, efficient, very polite, quite efficient, didnt waste any time and hard working ! In fact, the lead guy (Justin ) was so kind to go the extra mile and make our king size platform bed, more sturdy, so he could work with it properly when moving it. We had never bolted some of the platform base that supports the mattress, when WE set it up the first time. So Justin got a drill, and fixed it, just right ! THANK YOU, JUSTIN! (^O^)/ Moving into our new home was a thrill, with these young men helping us . We never could have done what they did, by ourselves. I don't see how they did all of it with all the stairs, and the way our house is set up. They made it look easier than it was. We simply would have DIED if we had done it all , by ourselves. (´???`) So , without writing a book, ( I can get articulated, when writing notes, etc) I'll stop here and say 6th Man Movers: (The Synchronized Tornado) are highly recommended, by myself and my family ! They were online and professional. Loading a 28' truck to the ceiling took less than 3 hours. They were great to work with again. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The move went very well. The two gentleman who performed the service did a great job. They were very careful with our furniture. We would definitely use them again.

I Couldn't of been happier with the job 6th man did with my move . from calling to tell me they were 15 mins out ( got to the house 5 mins before the time they'd said ) to the way they treated my stuff . they even asked if I'd minded if they took a 15 min break about 2 hours In . I had Jon V and Maurice ......... great guys , hard workers , i'd ask for ether or both again . I don't move a lot , last move was 25 years ago , so wasn't sure what to expect , I have heard so many horror stories , but ..... Jon V with his wit , and Maurice with his stacking abilities . the move was quick and as fun as move can be . USE THESE GUYS !!!!!! THEY ARE THE BEST ! .

so what can i say i am ecstatic- 3 guys show up - all intelligent, well spoken, well groomed and with excellent verbal skills- college or well read all of em- i scheduled 2 hours to have them move a 500lb 7'stone tub into the new master bath- up 13 stairs- they spent 10min assessing it and then carried it up and set the tub perfectly the entire visit lasted 30 min- i tipped them $40 - i was so happy!! don't waste any time calling anyone else unless these guys are not available- but this is a first call for any high end client in the brentwood/franklin area- these guys are smart and efficient and speak in complete sentences !! excellent !!

Very good service. Professional and fast. I had a glad cabinet and they padded it and packed it up safely with no problems. They found some of my furniture hardware after they had left and the next day they delivered it to my house. I would use them again.
