I have written a check for 200.00 to you 3 times. I have torn it up 3 times. I feel so wronged. I cannot
let myself be taken advantage of like this. I am still baffled as to why I was charged for a full botox
treatment instead of a touch-up injection(as my daughter and I both heard XXXXXXXX state.
She said I could come in for a free touch-up if needed. I asked my daughter what she heard XXXXX
say because I wear hearing aids. I thought I may be in error. She heard XXXXXT say the same exact
thing I heard. The botox never relaxed my brow. I called for a touch-up after returning from a trip, on
May 9th. I explained to your receptionist that I needed an appointment for a touch-up because the
injections barely worked. I was told a nurse wouldn?t be able to see me until May 29th. The problem
still points to your receptionist that made my appointment. I should have been informed that I was
not getting a touch-up, as requested, but I was instead receiving a full treatment again for a 200.00
charge.
I have as yet to see an invoice for this either. I read the contract I signed for the March 27th
treatment. It states that I have to pay for touch-ups. I have agreed to pay for a touch-up although I
was told it would be free. Your other nurse saw that my brow was not relaxed. I believed she was
doing my touch-up to fix the problem. This is a matter of miscommunication. I am a small business
owner also. If my employees make a mistake I assume responsibility. This is your receptionist?s
mistake. We all make mistakes, but I don?t believe I should have to pay for it.
I sent your contract and my letter to my lawyer. He stated that I am in the right here. I feel I am also in
the right ethically and morally. Against my lawyer?s advice, I would like to pay you 100.00 which I am
sure is above what a touch-up would cost. What are your feelings?
"Ms. [member name removed] first BOTOX appointment at Germantown Day Spa, Salon & Medical Aesthetics was on March 27, 2014. As we at Germantown Day Spa, Salon & Medical Aesthetics, always place our clients' well being first and foremost, therefore, on a first visit, we inject a conservative amount to save the client money. At that time we educate the client on what we are doing and ask the client to return in 2 weeks if they feel they need more. We always charge for any" touch ups" and additional BOTOX injected. We are very competitive in our pricing. Our Botox is $11 a unit. According to our computer, Ms. [member name removed] called to make another appointment on May 9, 2014 which was 6 weeks after her initial BOTOX appointment and spoke to one of our spa coordinators. Her appointment was booked for May 29, 2014. It is our policy and system that our spa coordinators do not quote pricing for Medical other than what we charge per unit and or if we are running a special. They following this system because no one but the Nurse knows how many units a patient will require. BOTOX is a well known and widely used product with a proven track record for being a very effective wrinkle solution. Here at Germantown Day Spa, Salon & Medical Aesthetics, we have had great success with this product and through patient feedback and retention, we know that it is an important service to our clientele. However, different people do have different results. As a result of this, we consult with every first time patient about the possible need for a "touch up" additional units to be added until we know what that particular patient will require. Medical cosmetic procedures are not an exact science and the results are not guaranteed. This policy is not just ours but, an industry standard. Not only was Ms. [member name removed] informed that she would be required to pay for any additional units of BOTOX that she might require/request in the future but, she signed a legal consent contract stating that she understood this fact. Our goal at Germantown day Spa, Salon & Medical Aesthetics is to go above and beyond for our clients/patients and we take great pride in knowing that we are doing all we can to not only meet but exceed all of their expectations. It saddens us greatly any time we fall short of this goal. We find this particular situation to be very unfortunate. However, we firmly believe that we did all we could to work with Ms. [member name removed] to explain and rectify this situation."
I was super impressed with the botox injections. The medical specialist numbed the brow area prior and the p***** were nearly painless. She is extremely knowledgable and she educated me in many areas concerning my options to look more youthful. She seemed more knowledgable that a certain dermatologist that works in Germantown. I was very impressed. Very likable and professional woman. I plan to make Germantown Day Spa my permanent go to place for treatments that are given by the medical specialist. I also plan to get my next message from them. I will also report my experiences with that.
Follow up:
When I arrived for my free touch-up as promised by the nurse, I was lead to a room and received what were suppose to be my touch-up shot by a different nurse. She stated that I did not receive enough botox on the first injection. When I was ready to leave. I was then told by the receptionist that I owed 200.00. After much discussion with the owner I received no apology & instead threats to have me arrested if I didn't pay the full amount. I am shocked that no responsibility was taken on his part. I even offered to pay 100.00 towards the fee. He refused to accept it. After two nights of poor sleep and reading his email threats, I went to his establishment and paid the full amount. I feel it was not worth the stress I was feeling inside. I know I was taken advantage of. I just chose to forgive. Hopefully others will be careful when using Germantown Day Spa's services. Read the contract. Don't believe the words.
