I purchased this service as a "Living Social" daily deal. Apparently they had such an overwhelming response to the offer that it took me over a week to get in touch with someone, despite repeated messages left on their voicemail. The lady who finally called me back was one of the owners (it's owned by a husband/wife). She was very nice; apologized for the length of time it took them to call me back, explaining that they had to hire extra people because of the response from the offer; went over what they would do once they arrived at my house; and said if I wanted extra cleaning, I could purchase additional hours at the discounted price. The lady who came was very prompt, arriving right at 9:00 a.m., the agreed-upon-time. The deal was for 3 hours of cleaning and she was here exactly 3 hours. She explained that she was an independent contractor and they had hired her the previous week because of all the coupons purchased. She had trained with another worker the week before and I was one of her first solo jobs. She didn't quite follow the routine that the owner had discussed, but she got right to work. She started upstairs at the far end of the house and worked toward the downstairs. I work from home, so I was here while she was cleaning. I didn't follow her around or even check up on what she was doing; however, I was listening and aware of where she was and what was being cleaned. It didn't appear to me that certain things were being cleaned from what I could hear. For instance, I never heard her run water when she was cleaning the upstairs bathrooms. And she didn't sweep the bathrooms or kitchen before mopping, which I questioned her about because I noticed she did not have a broom. However, everything looked and smelled clean when she left, so I have to say that she did a great job. She cleaned the entire house, which is about 2,100 square feet, in 3 hours...and that's not something I have ever done! At the discounted rate of $49.00 for 3 hours, it was well worth what I paid and I definitely got a good value. That was half the normal price. However, I'm not sure that it would be a good value at the regular price. $30-$35 an hour seems very high. It would be more cost effective to hire an individual, based on information I've received from friends who use different people. Because of that, I would not use their services again. But that has nothing to do with their quality of work, which was great. It is simply based on price per hour.
