This company is outstanding. I had a bad plumbing leak and called numerous plumber who for whatever reason did not want to come out on a Saturday and fix the leaks. I called Benjamin Franklin and Jan the lady who answered the phone was incredible. She was so nice and professional and I had a plumber within 45 minutes. Daniel the young plumber that came out was great also. He inspected the job and gave me a the total cost (no surprises) before he ever started, He immediately found and fixed the leaks and had a great attitude. I would definitely recommend this company. They are nice, very professional and know what they are doing.

They did a really good job. They had to dig out our entire front yard and they did a good job of putting it back like it was. I don't know of anything that I could complain about even if I wanted to, which I don't. We had them do something that they really didn't have to do, but we requested it.

I called and scheduled an appointment. The plumber was on time and very polite. He came in and tested the toilet that we were having an issue with and then diagnosed the problem. Then he explained the resolutions to fix the problem. We ended up replacing the toilet and now all is well.

We had an 11 - 1 p.m. window for the appointment and he arrived at 12:50. I would have preferred 11:30 or 12 noon but in the end they arrived within the window. Ryan did a nice job telling us about the company and pitching their maintenance program to us, which we declined. To replace the faucet and install the water pressure valve was $818. That seems high, and he even admitted that "we are not the cheapest in town". I did not expect to pay that high a price but I did agree to it given that I wanted to have it fixed. I cannot quibble with the quality of work and the quality of the company, but at the end of the day I can't help thinking when I look at my shiny new faucet that it costs me $800.

My general feeling is all the plumbing companies and ac box you in with a list of choices.it is a written menu that gives the buyer little choice. I had a 40 gallon low boy water heater that simply needed to be replaced .The "lowest" cost was just under $1200.00.Actual removal and replacement took under 2 hours, however there was a long wait for someone to show up with the water heater brought from their warehouse The water heater replacement was a standard "State" model water heater which is manufactured outside of Nashville. On checking consumer costs this water heater would cost under $250.00. Considering the average water heater lasts 6-7 years this is ridiculous to pay this amount(just under $1200.00.

I had tried a number of things to unplug my bathroom including pouring enzymes down the drain with some water and it really got plugged then. I also used other environmentally friendly products and some not so friendly. Nothing worked. I needed a plumber.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service. My experience with them was fine. They were very nice and professional. It wasn’t a big job but it worked out fine. The deal was good or else it would have cost me a lot more. They were the best. The price was fine for this deal. I don’t know how the prices are generally on these kinds of services. I knew my drain needed cleaning and so when I saw a deal for that, I took it. The quality was good and they came very quickly. I might use them again in the future but I would compare the prices first.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was excellent. They were on time and quickly took care of the blockage. The work was done the same day I called. Their responsiveness and professionalism is very much appreciated. I would highly recommend them.

Ok but needed to make clear this coupon was an inspection only.

The inspection was pretty basic and quick. The technician looked at the shower heads and toilet tanks to check for leaks. None were found. Then the technician inspected our water heater and said we did not need to add a heater blanket and finally attached our hose to the water heater and drained it for a few minutes.

After the shock of the price of the disposal. We had it installed. But it is guarantee for 5 years and the service call is free.

The serviceman was prompt and pleasant. However, after looking at the faucet and shower he began trying to convince me that I needed a water conditioning system. He did nothing for the shower drip except tell me that it would be a major repair job to stop the drip and that the water conditioning system would keep my other faucets from dripping. The shower is only 7 years old and is not used frequently. None of my other faucets are leaking. I felt he was trying to take advantage of me. I am getting another estimate for the needed services.

Repairman was on time and did a very good job.

They quoted a time, arrived at that time and solved the problem for the agreed upon price. What could be better?

I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing around 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9. My electric water heater had broken, so I needed it repaired or replaced. The lady who answered the phone said they were booked up all of Thursday but could come late on Friday, May 10 (sometime between 3-5 p.m.). I agreed to this, even though it was slightly outside the 24 hour response window discussed on Angie's List. I told her I had an Angie's List coupon for a free service call, which she accepted. She tried to sell me on a monthly service club program, which apparently had a 15% service discount, and when I asked if I could take advantage of it for the visit on Friday, she told me that I technically could, but I was already receiving the Angie's List coupon, and she rushed me off the phone before I could sign up or ask additional questions. The plumber showed up the next day near the end of the time window (4:30 p.m.). He seemed nice enough, but I had trouble understanding him speak -- both because he mumbled his words and because he was using terminology I didn't know. He looked at my water heater and agreed I needed a new one. He then quoted me a price that was very expensive ($1390 to install a water heater that retails for $200-$300), and he was unable to explain the pricing when I asked for a breakdown. I agreed to the installation because I badly needed hot water, so he had the water heater delivered. Overall the visit and installation took about 4 hours, taking up most of my Friday night. He left the door open most of the time, so I had to swat bugs around the house while he was installing the water heater. At one point while he was installing the water heater, the smoke alarm started to go off, which apparently might have left us with a $500 bill if the fire department had showed up. When he left, he did not completely clean up -- the next day, my cat slipped and fell on some residue he left behind. Thankfully, I now have hot water, but too much went wrong with this visit, so I couldn't recommend this company to anyone else. Update: The company followed back up with me to ask about my concerns and seemed like they genuinely wanted to learn from the experience and improve; they also offered me some discounts/coupons, so that was nice.

We had an old 1980's "gray water" tank to which our kitchen and dishwasher was draining. It was hopelessly clogged with 30 year-old tree roots. (Yes, we are country folks). We went ahead and capped it off and diverted to the primary septic service. We knew it was going to happen sooner or later, we just chose sooner. The tech (Tyler, fine young man) made short work of it with a quality job. Pricing and plans completly above board, open, and explained well - no "surprises". It was not as much as I thought it would be and considerably under an estimate I got last year from another company.

It was okay. I am not really sure if I will be using them again. They were nice and good but its not exactly I thought it would be. They knew what they were talking about. I thought that the price was a little too high for what they did but other than that they were good.

Very prompt. Gave good detailed verbal estimate over the phone with several options to address the problem. Problem was corrected as previously discussed. Techician ws curtious and careful to not leave a mess when completed.

I called the company on a Saturday morning because i needed a new faucet for an upstairs bathroom. The company gave me a reasonable time estimate and then called back when they found they could come to my house sooner than expected. They also waived the trip fee because I was an Angie's List member. The representative who came (Justin, I think) was professional, knowledgable, and respectful. He gave me a fair estimate and then cut the estimate in half by finding another way to get the result we were looking for. I'm very happy with the service I received and would use them again in a heartbeat!

The experience went without a hitch.

they came out and it was a sales job to get as much money as they possibly could from the get go. The man wanted to sell me a completely knew copper system from my meter to my disconnect..........when we both know the leak is at the disconnect. $3000 WHAT??? well what about just repairing it at the leak.......oh no.......they still wanted to replace my old pvc.........$1000 again.........WHAT??? I made the repairs myself with help from Google and Youtube..........$300 and guess what.......i have been saving my neighbors money by doing their repairs for them. and i have nothing good to say about Benjamin Franklin..........and i continue to spread that word in my neighborhood, where i work, where i workout and anywhere else i go.

They were good. They were pricey, but they were good. They were able to get a water heater in & the work done right away which I really appreciated since we don't actually live there. They took care of the whole thing in literally 1 day.

Both plumbers arrived promptly, did their work and let me know what needed to be done in the future (which I knew from problems a few years ago). Both were courteous, personable and left no mess. In the first instance, I asked about costs for some other minor work I needed that wasn't urgent. One thing was changing a shower head - I had tried every wrench I own and was unable to remove the old one. He was kind enough to change it for me - removing the old one was a matter of strength rather than the major plumbing surgery I had feared. Neither pressured me into buying a service plan or doing anything I couldn't afford now but let me know they do have financing plans. I will definitely call them again.
